AURORA POV
I got so scared to see those men pointing guns at us as the bus kept going in a direction we didn’t know, we could only hear the sound of bushes and the potholes on the untile road, I tried taking a beep at the place, but I couldn’t see anything because the place became dark, the bus has been moving since noon and didn’t make a stop. I looked around the bus to see ninety-nine of the people on the bus were women only few were men, I could see the tension on everyone’s faces.
Soon after, the bus finally made it to a stop and they ordered everyone out, we assembled in a straight line with our heads bowed to the ground, and we were separated from the men.
🗣”Now move it, if any of you try anything stupid, you be a goner”. He threatened.
We started walking down a narrow road filled with bushes, I noticed the men who were separated from us were kept behind, and I wondered what they were going to do with them. we began the walk on the road, one of the men was at the front leading us while the remaining two were at our back, I kept wondering who they were and what they wanted from us, and not too long after we heard multiple gunshots and we all screamed in fear.
👤”Quiet!”.He yelled and we became silent.” Move it!”.
We continue walking and my mind suddenly reflects on the men who were separated from us, maybe they gun them down. fear ran through me and I began to pray silently, I don’t want to die yet, I still have a lot of things to do with my life. We kept walking until we arrived at a building, the place was a modern house with bushes surrounding it. We were taken to one of the rooms, I was surprised to see other girls in the room, the room was big enough to occupy thousands of people, it had three ceiling fans and a tiny window with a light bulb hung on the wall. we joined the girls and sat down and the door was locked.
👤”I don’t want to die! I don’t want to die!”.
The woman beside me kept lamenting the words as she squeezed herself.
“You are not going to die”. I said to her and she looked at me with teary eyes.
👤” How do you know that?”.
She asked the question and I didn’t know the answer to give her, I looked around and I saw a young girl beside me, I knew she was not among us earlier.
“How long have you been here?” I asked and she sniffed.
🙎♀️”Three days now”. She replied.
“Do you have any idea what they want to do with us?”. I asked and she rolled her head.
🙎♀️”No, but I overheard they need twenty ladies for the job”.
” What job?”. I asked curiously.
🙎♀️”I don’t know, we just pray they shouldn’t kill us”. She said and I sighed sadly as the thought of my grandmother came through my mind.

NARRATOR POV
Meanwhile, Alexander was at home and was trying to connect to Aurora’s phone but it wasn’t going through.
“Why is her phone not connecting”. He wondered and continued calling her line. ” Did she perhaps switch off her phone?”. he sighed and fell on the bed staring at the ceiling

The next day, Alexander rushed to Aurora’s house to see if he could bring her back to work, he knocked several times on the door before Aurora’s grandmother came out and opened the door.
“Good Morning ma”. He greeted and he could see the sad look on her face.” Is everything okay Ma?”.
“Is Aurora with you?”. She asked and Alexander was surprised.
” Aurora is not here?”.
“I should be asking you, she didn’t come home like she used to, and her cell phone is not connecting, so, where is my granddaughter”. She said and Alexander became more confused.
” I have no idea where she is, she is the reason why I am here, she resigned from work yesterday and I tried reaching her all through the day, but her cell phone wasn’t connecting”. he said.
“Aurora resigned from her job? Why? Where could she be now?”. She panicked.
” You have to calm down, Maybe she went to one of her friend’s places to spend the night”.
“No, my granddaughter doesn’t keep friends and she never sleeps out without calling to inform me, something is wrong, I can feel it”. She sob.
” Nothing is going to happen to her, I promise to look for her”.
“Please do, I want my granddaughter back”.
” I will bring her back, but before then I will send Erica to look after you “.
” Will I see my Aurora today?”.
“I will try and find her”. he reassured her.
” Okay, I will believe your words”.
“Good, you go in and take a rest, Erica will be here soon”.
” Thank you”.
“You are welcome, I will take my leave now”.
” Okay, thank you for coming”. She bid him goodbye and went inside.
Alexander entered his car and asked the driver to drive off. He sighed wondering where Aurora went to, he was thinking of the place she might be, then he dialed a number on his cell phone and told the person from the other end to search for Aurora and then hung up.
Meanwhile, Aurora and the girls were still in the room praying for somebody to help them out of this situation.
The guys that brought the girls to the building were having a chat with their boss in a room. The room was dark and a man was sitting on a comfortable chair smoking and drinking.
👤”Boss, the girls are complete.
🗣”How many are they?”.
👤”Twenty sir, the numbers you needed for the job.
🗣”Good job”. he smirks.”Is time to get done with the job, you will have to split the girls into two groups, one of the groups will be used for the sex slave, while the other group will be used for the suicide bomber in a different city”.He chuckles.
👤”As you wish boss”. He bowed and left.
🗣”Let the game begin, the city of California won’t get away with my wrath, you guys dare to kick me out from being the president of the country, I will make you all pay”. He laughed evilly and drank from his whiskey.
Alexander was feeling unease in his office as he kept worrying about Aurora’s Whereabouts.
“Where are you Aurora?”. He worried and then his cell phone rang, he noticed the caller ID and picked it up.” Yes, any news?”. he asked and then Richard walked in, he could see the worried look on his face.”Okay, get me more details”. he hung up.”What’s up with you?”. He asked curiously.
“I heard the news today on TV stations that there has been a missing person in town”.
” Missing? How?”.
“I don’t know, a friend of mine in the police department told me a lot of people have been coming to the station to make complaints about their missing children and loved ones”.
” Really? That’s strange”.
“Yeah, this is somehow confusing, none of this has ever occurred before, but right now the police are out there investigating”. He said. ” By the way, I didn’t see your Secretary on her desk”.
“Um, she quit?”.
” You allow that?”.
“No, I tried stopping her, but she refused and right now I am worried about where she is”.
” What? Did she leave the city?”
“I don’t know, I went over to her house this morning, and her grandmother told me she didn’t come home yesterday and her number is not going through”.
” Ok, this is confusing”. He sighed confusedly and then their phone rang, they saw the caller ID picked up and then went surprised.
“WHAT?!!”. They said surprisedly staring at each other.
” We need to rush to the police station right now!”. Richard said and they left the office.
Some minutes later, they arrived at the police station and they were directed to the DPO office.
“How did this happen?”. Alexander asked.
👮♂️” We don’t know, I guess someone powerful is behind the kidnapping of the girls and the killing of the boys”.
“Don’t you guys have any clue who the person was and what he wanted?”. Richard asked.
👮♂️ ” No, but my men are still investigating it, and we hope we come out with a great result”.
“Am confused, what if Aurora is part of the missing girls”. Alexander said.
” We shall hope not”. Richard said and they sighed.
👮♂️”We promise to do our best”.
Along the driveway, Alexander was lost in thought.
“You don’t have to worry about that, I am sure she is not among the missing girls “. Richard said.
” What if she was?”.
“Then we will have to find her”. he said and there was a silence between the two of them.” But you know you are a f!ol”. He said and Alexander stared confusedly at him.”Yes, you are”.
“What is the meaning of that?”.
“Exactly what you heard, you are this dumb that you don’t realize you love Aurora”. He said. ” Don’t give me that look, you know I am right”.
“I don’t know what you are talking about”.
” Keep telling yourself that, you know what, I won’t argue with you, but I pray we find Aurora soon and I will take my chances with her since you are dumb to know what you feel about her”. He said and Alexander stared hard at him.
Meanwhile, in the building, the guys came and asked all of them to stand up, and they did as instructed.
👤”Now, you all will be shared into two groups”.
“What do you guys want from us? What is our crime?”. Aurora asked.
👤” Will you shut that thing you call a mouth before I blow your brains out, how dare you open your mouth to speak”. He frowned.
“Am sorry, I didn’t mean to upset you, we are just curi–“. She got interrupted.
👤” Shut up! Not another word from you”. He warned and Aurora became quiet.
The girls were shared in two groups, Aurora and some girls were kept behind while the rest were taken away.
