Fallen apart

Xavier returned to park and he couldn’t find Hazel.

“Hazel!” Xavier called, looking around him.

“Hazel!” Xavier shouted, but there was no response.

Unfortunately, he didn’t notice the little drops of blood on the grass. He just left from that spot and started searching the whole park for her.

“Beautiful,” Xavier called, feeling confused and agitated. “My love! Hazel!”

“Where are you??”

Xavier had gone to the orphanage, but she wasn’t there. He thought that she might be at his house, so he returned home.

As he got the sitting room, Lily was waiting for him. He ignored her and attempted going upstairs.

“Xavier!” Lily yelled.

Xavier still ignored her, but her next words made him stop walking.

“You having an affair with her, aren’t you? You are cheating on me with a maid!” Lily yelled.

“Do you know what your father would do to her if he discovered your relationship?” Lily asked.

“Your family owe my family! What do you think will happen if your parents discover your affair with a maid!”

Xavier didn’t expect her to find out about that.

He had planned to escape with Hazel, but not with this information that lily has. He was afraid of what his father could do to Hazel.

He couldn’t hurt the woman he loved.

“I’m not having an affair with her,” Xavier lied, walking to Lily.

“You slept with her. You took her out of the bar through the back door,”

“You are right!, I simply fucked her, but that’s all,” Xavier lied again, trying to protect Hazel. “She’s nothing to me, I just wanted to fûck and dump her, nothing special,”

“What if I get rid of her? Would you care?”

Xavier was alarmed by her words and he feared for Hazel’s life. But he also thought her words could be a trap.

“Kîll her and I won’t give a fûck. I don’t even remember her stůpid name. She’s just some dumb bîtch who’s cherry I popped, that’s all,” Xavier muttered and forced himself to touch Lily’s face.

“I’m marrying you. I might say hateful words to you, but I can assure you that we will be husband and wife. Don’t even mention that maid’s name ever again, it disgusts me,” He fibbed.

“Xavier!!!” Mrs Lee screamed, running down the stairs.

“Mom, what is it?” Xavier rushed to his mother.

“Your father,” Mrs Lee cried. “Your father is dead!!!”

“Dad is what???”

The next day, Lily went to place that Hazel was tied up and being tortured.

“It hurts!!!” Hazel cried in pain.

“Please stop!!!” She screamed as the iron burned her back. “Aaahh!!!!”

“Enough!” Lily said as she stepped inside.

Hazel was shocked to see her.

“Miss… Lily,” Hazel cried.

“I wanted you to get räped that night, but you slept with my fiancé instead! You fûcking bîtch!” Lily scowled.

“You were the one that drûgged me. I never thought it was…” Hazel cried. “Someone help me,”

“No one is coming to help you. You’re going pay for messing with Xavier!” Lily growled and rushed to slap her.

Hazel’s lips burst and blood splashed out of her mouth. Hazel’s fair skin was red like a tomato.

“You are going to suffer and not even Xavier will save you. He doesn’t even care about you,” Lily spat.

“That’s not true!” Hazel yelled.
“He cares about me. I know that he cheated on you but what you did was awful. I resisted him the first time, but you had to do something bad to me! If you hadn’t drugged me at the bar then we wouldn’t have had sėx,”

“I was even feeling bad for sleeping with him, but I don’t feel anything now. You are evil!” Hazel cried out.

“So, you think that Xavier loves you,” Lily laughed, knowing it was true.

“Yes, he loves me. He said it..was love at first sight. I love him too. I love everything about him. From his allergies, to his capabilities, the stories of his childhood. He told me everything. I love him,” Hazel muttered, her heart racing as she thought Xavier.”He will save me,”

Lily burst into a louder laughter and brought out her phone and played a recording.

The recording had all the lies that Xavier, told. Lily knew he was going to lie and that’s why she recorded it.

Hazel’s heart shattered as she heard Xavier telling Lily to get rîd of her and calling her disgusting. He even said he would dump her.

“Do you still think he cares about you?” Lily laughed.

Hazel broke into bitter tears.

“He is presently having fun at home, he doesn’t even remember you,” Lily lied, knowing that Xavier was mourning over his father.

“Guys,” Lily said to four hefty men around the room. “Räpe her to death, I will stand and watch…”

“No, no please don’t do this to me!” Hazel screamed in bitter tears. “No!!!”

The men rushed to her and loosened the ropes around her. They stripped her naked and one after the other, they had their turns with her. They räpěd her, round after round.

After rãping her to unconsciousness, they waited until night time to carry her to an abandoned bridge.

“There are crocodiles inside the water, right,” Lily smirked.

“Yes, her bones won’t even be found,” One of the men smirked.

Hazel was a little conscious, but she couldn’t move.

“Throw her in!”

Hazel was thrown over the bridge and her body dropped into the water.

Hazel’s face got covered with water and she had a last thought, ‘If I survive this, I will make both of you pay for this. Xavier, I hate you and If survive, I will have my revenge and make you suffer a million folds for playing with my heart,’

Ten years later… January 14, 2024

Washington DC…

“Is the new assistant you interviewed in my office,” Hazel asked, her hair short and dyed black, her face cold as steel and her appearance elegant.

She was walking into her company and all the employees were trembling in fear as they greeted her, walked by or ran to their duty post.

Sue wasn’t the same Hazel anymore, the joy and innocence in her eyes were all gone.

“Yes Ma’am,” Her secretary replied.

Hazel got into her private elevator and there was not a single emotion on her face. As her elevator opened, she reached her office.

She pushed the door and met the assistant.

“Good morning ma’am,” Xavier said with a smile, but the smile on his lips vanished when he saw Hazel’s face.

She had changed, but he could still recognize her anywhere.

Hazel’s eyes filled with deep and unforgiving hatred as she saw him.

“Hazel,” Xavier smiled again.

Unable to resist his excitement, he rushed to her and instantly slammed his lips on her cold lips.

The love of the dead

Xavier parted the kiss and looked at her blank face.

“I’m so happy to see you,” Xavier smiled. His face had matured too and he he had grown more handsome, but his skin wasn’t as bright, clean, or fair as it was. His clothes were old as well.

Hazel stared coldly at him like she was going to slit his throat at any moment.

She inhaled deeply and simply walked away from him, without hitting him. She sauntered to her swivel chair and sat down.

“Xavier Lee is my assistant,” Hazel smirked darkly. “Karma is real bîtch,”

Xavier was confused by her words, but he didn’t mind them.

“Hazel, I looked for you. Where did you go that night?” Xavier asked.

Hazel’s hands clenched as she recalled what happened to her.

“Yeah you did, you traveled through the burning flames of hell and the ends of the earth,” Hazel said, sarcastically.

Xavier noticed how she had changed, but he continued speaking.

“Dad died. Uncle Jim took everything away from us, my cards were canceled, and my accounts were frozen. He took everything from Mother and I, he left us on the streets,” Xavier said with pain in his voice. “I broke off my engagement with Lily and something happened to her family as well,”

Hazel heard Lily’s name and her anger increased. She had been looking for Lily, but it seemed like she and her family had vanished after going bankrupt.

“The last draw was when he tried to kill Mom and me. We had to immigrate to South Korea because we didn’t have money for a flight, and no one helped us either. We were all alone. We came to Washington a few months ago,” Xavier sighed and walked to her.

“I wanted to apply for a job here and I saw you were the CEO. How did you become a Billionaire?” Xavier asked in confusion. “Where did you disappear to, that night?”

He stood by her side and turned her swivel chair to him.

“Hazel, what happened to you?” Xavier asked.

Hazel’s nails dug into her palms, but she replied, “You should ask Google. You will see that I was married and my husband died 7 years ago, leaving me all his money and company. I brought everything from the ground and made my money,”

She was telling a lie, it was deeper than that.

“That doesn’t answer my question. Where did you go that night?” He brought his lips closer to hers. “Why did you leave,”

She parted her lips to reply, but someone barged into her office.

“Isabel,” the man who walked into her office called.

Isabel was the name she was presently bearing, while Hazel became her middle name.

“Hey, handsome,” Hazel looked at him.

Russo De Luca frowned and walked closer to her table. He had a handsome face and had the features of most Italian men. He was Hazel’s boyfriend and part of a mafia clan.

They started dating in 2022 and he had made connections in the mafia world.

“Russo, meet my new assistant, Xavier. Xavier meets Russo, my boyfriend,” Hazel introduced them.

Xavier was shocked by her words.

“Get out, I want to talk to her,” Russo sneered at Xavier.

Xavier didn’t appreciate his rudeness, but since Hazel said nothing, he had to leave.

“Russo, what are you doing here? Is there a message from the clan?” Hazel asked.

“Isabel, I am not your messenger. I am your boyfriend. I don’t even understand our relationship anymore. If we go on dates, we talk about nothing, but the mafia clan. Is that why you got involved with me?” Russo spat.

“Russo, you were the one who wooed me and yes, I got involved with you because of the clan. Anyways, you are pretty good looking and you fûck me, even if I have never had an orgäsm,” She smirked.

“You fûcking bitch!” Russo cussed and walked over to her. “I made you join the clan and I can take you out the same way, if you know what is good for you Mia Cara, you’ll start acting like a good girlfriend. I’m done with your coldness and bullshît!”

“Are you threatening me?”

“Yes I am,” Russo spat.

“Russo, it’s over between us, get out of my office,” Hazel said coldly.

She had been enduring him because she wanted a stable position in the clan and since she had gotten it, she didn’t need him anymore.

“What did you just say?” Russo gasped.

“I’m breaking up with you, it’s over between us,” Hazel rolled her eyes and faced forward.

Russo grabbed her face and immediately brought a pocket knife to her throat.

She didn’t even look scared and it annoyed him.

“You can’t break up with me and even if you do, I will kill every man that tries to have anything with you and then I will kill you,” Russo sneered, dangerously.

He wasn’t a mafia boss, but he was part of the clan and he was evil. He had been tolerating Hazel because he liked her but now he was angry.

“I own you, Isabel. You should have known that when you got involved with me,” Russo sneered pressing the knife on her neck.

“If hurt her, you’re dead,” Xavier sneered as he barged in.

Russo looked at Xavier and laughed. He removed the knife from Hazel’s neck and walked over to Xavier.

“You’re lucky I’m in a good mood,” Russo sneered and glanced at Hazel. “I’ll see you at my house later today, Mia Cara,”

As he left, Xavier walked over to her, “Why are you dating someone like him? He’s an animal, are you crazy or what?”

Ignoring him she said, “Come with me, I want to take you somewhere,”

Hazel took him to the swimming pool area in her company.

“Wow, there’s a swimming pool here. That’s so impressive,” Xavier chuckled softly.

Hazel walked to the edge of the pool and said, “Do you remember when fed me ice cream beside a pool at the park?”

Xavier walked to her and smiled, “Why would I forget that?”

“I should have done something that day,” Hazel held his face.

“What?” Xavier smiled handsomely.

“I should have killed you,” Hazel sneered hatefully and immediately pushed him into the pool.

Xavier gasped as he fell inside. He couldn’t swim or help himself.

“Hazel!” Xavier panicked.

“Hazel help me!” Xavier splashed the water and swallowed more water down his throat.

“Hazel…”

Hazel smiled cruelly and walked away.

“Hazel…” Xavier drowned.
