Two months had passed since that night of Clarke’s and Jim’s death and Xavier hasn’t still gotten over what he witnessed.
He didn’t feel sorry for them, but he couldn’t stop thinking about how they died.
Anyways, he had been trying to get his father’s properties and things were working in his favor. Since Jim and Clarke never had a child, he had a better opportunity of getting every single property back.
Hazel was also helping him with the procedure. She didn’t stay back in Washington but delegated someone trustworthy to act as a CEO until she returned.
Now, Hazel and Xavier were at the lawyer’s office, waiting for whatever news he had to tell them.
“Why did you call us here?” Hazel asked, squinting inquisitively at him. “Is there any progress?”
“Yes,”
“Since you found the original will of your father, you’ve been able to prove that the company and properties belong to you. There’s no need to prolong the case,” He said to Xavier.
“Xavier, everything is yours now,” Hazel giggled and held his hand. “It’s all yours,”
Xavier smiled as well.
“I can’t believe that I have everything back,” Xavier grinned, still shocked by the changes happening in his life.
“Yes, you have everything,” Hazel giggled.
“Thank you so much.I was able to reach these heights because of you. I love you so much,” He smiled and leaned closer for a kiss.
He smooched her lips and soon, they kissed passionately, forgetting about the lawyer.
“Hm!” the lawyer cleared his throat.
They broke the kiss and thanked him before leaving his office.
As they headed to the car, they saw someone familiar begging people for money.
“Isn’t that Lily?” Xavier asked, his face filled with shock.
The last time he was in California, he heard that her family went bankrupt, but he never imagined that it would be this bad.
But it was the least she deserved after everything she did to Hazel.
“Hazel, are you okay?” Xavier asked, worried about her mental health.
“I’m fine, let’s go,” Hazel said calmly and proceeded to the car.
Xavier was shocked by her composure, but he said nothing. He went into the car with Hazel, but instead of heading home, they went to a restaurant to eat.
As they arrived at the restaurant, they made their orders and waited. When their food was brought and they started eating, singers and instrumentalists started a performance.
Hazel was a little confused at first, but when Xavier stood to his feet and walked to her. Realization dawned on her.
Slowly, Xavier went on his knees, brought out a beautiful engagement ring, and proposed, “Hazel, will you marry me?”
Hazel’s heart was thumping out of happiness, she was finally going to marry the man she loved.
“Yes!, I will marry you,” Hazel chuckled, extending her hand.
Xavier wore the ring on her finger and stood to his feet.
Hazel stood up too and as they kissed softly, there was an applause from those around them.

Two days after the engagement, Hazel visited a warehouse that she had purchased for certain purposes.
As she entered the warehouse, she met someone tied to a chair. She walked to that person and removed the black bag used to cover the person’s face.
Lily lifted her gaze and was shaken with fear to see Hazel alive.
“Hazel…”Lily gasped.
“Yeah, this is the girl whom you threw into a crocodile-filled water to die. You didn’t think that I would survive everything, right?” Hazel asked with a hateful smirk on her lips. “My men will be torturing you non stop, then you will watch Xavier and I getting married,”
Hazel showed Lily the ring and Lily felt so angry and jealous by how beautiful Hazel looked with the ring.
“My ring is so beautiful,” Hazel smiled, showing Lily the diamond ring. “Xavier has gotten his properties back too. We are both filthy rich and we will soon choose a date for our wedding,”
“You bîtch!” Lily cried out.
Hazel raised her hand to slap her, but she stopped herself.
“I’m not supposed to touch dog shît like you. My men are going to deal with you exactly the way you dealt with me,” Hazel smirked and turned her back on her. “Have fun, Lily. Your life is gonna be hell from now on,”
Lily’s tears dropped and her heart felt like exploding in rage. She was nothing while Hazel had become sick beautiful and rich. It truly hurt her.
“Fûck,” She sobbed, but her torment had just begun.
Hazel’s men soon walked in and they came with the right equipment to torture her.

They tortured Lily for months and like Hazel ordered, they made her watch Hazel’s and Xavier’s wedding.
“Do you take Xavier Lee as your loving husband?” the priest asked.
“Yes, I do,” Hazel smiled behind the screen as she wore a ring on Xavier’s finger.
“Do you take Hazel Song as your loving wife?” the priest asked Xavier.
“Yes I do,” Xavier smiled, wearing the ring on her finger.
“You may now kiss the bride!”
Xavier slowly removed Hazel’s beautiful veil and kissed her lips passionately.
As they kissed, tears slipped from Lily’s left eye. The other eye had been pulled out and some parts of her were missing as well.
She watched as Hazel looked at the camera and smirked. The guests were still clapping happily. Lily felt so much envy and hatred but she couldn’t do anything.
“Let’s do what Mrs Hazel ordered us to do and make sure you video it,” one of the men said and left the warehouse.
He returned with a gallon of fûel and a match box. Lily’s eyes widened when he started pouring it on her.
“What are you doing?” Lily cried as the fûęl spilled on her bødy. “Please stop!!!”
The men took a few steps back and one of them lit the matches, then flung it towards Lily.
“No, no!!!!. No, please!!!!”
“Hazel!!!!!”

Washington… Seven months later.
Hazel was watching how Lily bûrned and she couldn’t stop laughing.
“What are you always watching on that iPad?” Xavier laughed, stepping out of the bathroom and walking to her.
“Just a comedy show about karma,” Hazel chuckled, placing her hand on her baby bump.
“How is our baby boy?” Xavier reached her and lowered his face to kiss her belly.
“Our baby is fine. He just keeps kicking me. I just hope that he doesn’t turn out to be a bad boy like his father,” Hazel chuckled.
Xavier grinned and raised his to kiss her. He smooched her lips softly and smiled.
“I love you, Hazel,”
“I love you too, my bad man,” Hazel laughed and kissed him again.
