Osiris saw red and before he could speak, Zinedine did that for him.
“No one is killing anyone Dad, he is my son. Are you blind now to see my resemblance in him?” Zinedine spoke, bringing his father’s attention to him briefly.
Osiris returned his gaze to the little boy and really stared at him. He didn’t look closely at the little boy when he saw him at first, he was so blinded by his rage that he didn’t notice his white hair and blue eyes.
And now that he was looking at Hiro, he could see his first son in him, he was a carbon copy of Zinedine, in fact he looks so much like Zinedine that if the little boy wasn’t younger they could have passed as identical twins. And they both have the same annoying attitude.
“Have you met him before Dad?” Zinedine asked. He wondered if his father had met Hiro and if he did, why didn’t he tell him about it? Oh, it might be the little boy who he said had insulted him. Zinedine thought and waited for his answers.
“I have, he was the one I told who had insulted me. He and that stupid mother of his.”
Eleanor, who was standing behind Zinedine, coughed as she said. “I am not stupid.”
“What do you say?” Osiris asked in anger as his gaze shifting to the girl behind his son, whom he recognized as the lady who had come to plead on the behalf of her son that night.
Removing his mother’s hand from his mouth.
“She said she’s not stupid, besides she is not my mother, that is my mother.” Hiro answered, pointing at Samira behind him.
“Hold on a minute,” Osiris began as he remembered the first words his son had told him. “You said this is Samira, like the Samira I know?”
Zinedine nodded his head. “Yes dad, the very one.”
“And she is this boy’s mother? This boy here?” he pointed at Hiro with narrowed eyes.
“Yes, Dad.”
“I need to understand something, the omega birthed this rude boy here?”
Hiro snorted loudly. “You keep stating the obvious old man, is your brain that weak to comprehend what my dad said?” he said and rolled his eyes. “Anyway, I am going to help my dad say it in very simple english for you. I am their child, end of discussion.”
It took the intervention of Selena, who held him tightly around his torso, from attacking Hiro.
“One more word from you and I will kill you.” He promised.
“Come, I’d like to see you try.” Hiro taunts him.
“Hiro, that’s enough, you don’t speak to an elder like most, especially to your grandfather.” Samira warns her son. “Please.” she added.
“I was on my own mum when he talked to me. so I had to reply.”
“I am not this rude boy grandfather!” Osiris yelled out. “Don’t you call me that.” he snarled at Samira.
“And who wants you as a grandfather anyway? Don’t let your head get big.” Hiro hurled back.
“Dad, we will be having a serious conversation when I am back.” Zinedine said. “Come let’s go.” He didn’t need to say the person’s name for Samira to know he was talking to her. Hiro and Eleanor followed him up the stairs.
“I’m so sorry for my son’s behavior.” Samira apologized and quickly followed Zinedine.
Zinedine showed Eleanor one of the guest rooms and that’s where she will stay.
“Thank you.” Eleanor thanked and entered the room.
Zinedine then went to his room and said to Samira. “And this is where we will be staying.”
“Hiro, I don’t like the way you talk to Osiris, he is your grandfather, show him some respect.” Samira said as soon as they were inside Zinedine’s room.
“His name is Osiris? What sort of name is that?”
“Hiro tha wasn’t what I said.”
“Mum, that wasn’t disrespectful, believe me if I was disrespectful to him, you know what happens.” Hiro defended himself.
“But I like the way he talked to my father, if it was me I would have done worse.” Zinedine said. “He made me proud.” he added with a happy smile, cleaning an invisible tear from his eyes.
“Don’t encourage him, Zinedine.” Samira snapped.
“I am going to meet him to explain the situation on the ground and also ask the servant to prepare a room for my son.” Zinedine said, pretending as if Samira didn’t just snap at him. He looked at his son and mouthed. “Well done.” before leaving them, not before kissing Samira on the lips.
Samira sighs once they are alone. “Look Hiro, I know you have had this anger in you ever since you were born but just try not to provoke anyone here. This is why I don’t want you to talk to people because the only thing coming out of your mouth is an insult.”
“Mum, I can have a normal conversation with anyone like I am having with you. I just don’t like him.”
“Me too but you don’t see me provoking or insulting him, and also he is your dad’s father and you will come to adjust to it with time. He is not going anywhere.” Samira told him. “Just be nice to him and give him your smiling face, please.”
“I will try,” he shrugs.
“Hiro.” Samira said in a warning tone.
“Don’t worry mum, when I say ‘I will try.’ I mean I will try my best not to provoke him on purpose. I will be quiet when he speaks, he won’t even know I am in this house.” Hiro smirks.
