Chapter 11

“Max what is it this time? You know I don’t like running errands for you, you like asking for dangerous things.”, Helen said.
“This time it is different Helen, just help me.”, He said.
“What is it?”
“Just tell Daria that my dad wants her in his room.”,Ax said and Helen gasped.
“Why would you want that? You of all people don’t like ladies entering your dad’s room and now you want me to lie to her. What are you planning max?”, Helen asked.
“It’s not something bad, just trust me on this.”, He said and she just sighed.
“I don’t want to get into trouble max.”, She said.
“You won’t.”, He assured.

Finn just touched his head, it was spinning and the cold he was having was making matters worse, it was adding to his headache.
His eyes were watery and red because of the cold, so instead of working, he just decided to take some sleeping pill.
He laid on the bed bed trying to sleep but sleep wasn’t coming.
He knew when someone entered his room but his eyes were just to heavy to open until he felt someone warm and soft on his lips.
He opened his eyes confused and he saw Daria in front of him.
Finn’s heart started beating fast, it was happening again. He is always uneasy whenever he is with Daria.
“I — I am really sorry Mr Finn, I was carried away.”, Daria said but Finn said nothing.
At that time, he wasn’t thinking straight. He was afraid that if he opened his mouth, he would ask for more kss and they might end up doing something they would regret.
“Are you sick Mr Finn?”, She asked as she placed her hands on his forehead.
His heart start beating again, he stared at her for so long until he remembered Oliver.
“I’m okay.”, He said like a whisper as he removed her hands from his forehead.
“Your face.”, She said as she wiped the tear on his face, making Finn have goosebumps.
“I’m not crying, it’s because of the cold.”, He said.
“I didn’t say anything.”, She said and they just stared at each other.
“Should I wet a towel and clean your face?”, She asked and he shook his head.
“Finn don’t be selfish, Oliver likes her.”, He reminded himself.
Daria entered his bathroom, wet his towel and came back to clean his face even when he said no.
“What are you doing here?”, He asked and Daria looked at him puzzled.
“You called me.”
“I didn’t call you.”, He said and Daria knew that it was surely Max.
She just smiled, maybe Max has given his permission.
As she cleaned his face, Finn tried to distract himself but there he was thinking about the kss.
“Mr Finn!!!”, She called and he looked at her.
“I have a favour to ask but promise me that you won’t get mad.”, She said but Finn said nothing.
“What is it?”, He asked.
“Please promise me first.”, She said.
“I promise.”, He said.
“Can I … Kss you again?”, She asked but he still said nothing.
“I don’t know what’s wrong with me, I know that I am not supposed to do this but I promise that this would be the last time, I just can’t control myself.”, She said but still no response.
“I will count till 5 and kiss you.”, She said and started counting.
She clashed her lips on Finn’s lips, Finn slowly closed his eyes to reciprocate the kss but then he remembered Oliver.
He slowly pushed her away and wiped his lips.
“I didn’t give you the permission yet.”, He said coldly.
“But you had enough time to push me away when I was counting but you didn’t.”, She said and he said nothing.
“Oliver likes you.”, He said.
“I don’t like him.”, Daria said and pouted.
Finn just looked away before he would be forced to kss her.
“I think you should go, I need to rest.”, He said as he pulled her from his bed.
“Rest well.”, She said and he closed the door.
“What’s happening to me?”, Finn asked touching his chest.

“Why are you coming from my dad’s room?”, Max asked and Daria just looked at him trying to fight the urge to cry.
“Your dad doesn’t like me, he doesn’t feel the same. He keeps pushing me to Oliver.”, She said.
“It’s obvious he’s beginning to like you.”, Max said as he rolled his eyes.
“Beginning to like me? It’s the opposite.”, She said.
“So do you want to cry over a man?”, Max asked.
“Never! Even if that would happen, it won’t be Infront of you.”, She said and he rolled his eyes.
“Whatever!”, He said and went back to his room.

“Kady!”, Oliver called but she just ignored him.
“Kady!”, He called again holding her hand but she removed it.
“I have work to do Oliver.”, She said but he didn’t let her go.
“Kady I know that you have been avoiding me, is it because of your feelings?”
“What about it? What did you want me to do when I am fully aware that you have feelings for someone else?”, She said as tears rolled down.
“I was fully aware that there is a possibility you were just being nice to be because that’s your personality but I was just hoping that it would be different but I was wrong.”, She said as hot tears rushed down.
Oliver wiped her tears with his hands and stared at her lips, he was wondering why he was staring at her lips when he doesn’t like her.
He placed his lips on hers.
They kssed till they both lost their breath.
“I’m sorry kady.”, He said and left and kady broke into more tears.
“What was I thinking? I am cheating on Daria.”, He thought

Things became more awkward between Finn and Daria.
Daria couldn’t look Finn in the eye and Finn didn’t even say a word to her.
Max just stared at the both of them and shook his head.
Next day!
Max was prepared for school.
Even up till this moment, Finn and Daria hasn’t said a word to each other.
Daria badly wanted to ask about Finn’s health but she didn’t want to make him uncomfortable not after the kss.
After the dropped max off and got to the office, not long after Oliver came.
“Oliver I have something to tell you.”, Daria said.
“I also do have something to say.”, He said.
“I like someone else.”, She said.
“I know, you already made it clear to me.”, He replied and she nodded.
“But is that person Finn?”, He asked and her eyes widened.
“How …!”
“Max told me and I confirmed it.”, He replied.
“Aren’t you mad?”, She asked.
“I’m confused too, I don’t know why I am not mad even at the fact that Finn might like you too. Although I’m a but disappointed that I have lost you to Finn but I don’t really know why I am not angry.”, He said confused.
“Maybe you don’t like me.”, She said and he thought about it for a while.
“But I liked you at the beginning.”, He replied.
“Maybe you don’t like me as much as you think.”, She said.
“Can I kss you? I want to be sure of something.”, He asked.
Daria saw this as an opportunity to check if she would feel something like she felt for Finn while Oliver wanted to check if he would also feel something as he felt during his kss with kady.
“I also want to check something.”, Daria said and they kssed.
They just placed their lips on each other without feeling anything.
No one needs to tell them that there is no chemistry between them.
Finn watched the both of them, feeling hurt.
“Is this really how she is? She kssed me and now she’s kssing someone else. How can she do this to me?”, He thought as he clenched his fist.
“Why do I always fall for cheaters?”, He wondered.
