“I’m sorry.” Eleanor began as her gaze was on Sebastian, he wasn’t making any move to talk and he car was too quiet. “Please talk to me.” she pleaded.

“A hunter? A fucking hunter? I can bear you being a witch but a hunter? But a hunter? What were you planning to do, make me fall deeply in love with you before you stab my heart while laughing at my foolishness.” Sebastian snapped, grabbing the wheel tightly.

“I’m sorry.”

“Saying ‘i’m sorry’ won’t bring back my trust I have for you Eleanor. You are a hunter, you kill our kind for a living.”

“Was Sebastian, I was a hunter.” Eleanor corrected him.

“Do Samira even know you are a hunter or you also lied to her as well?” He demanded.

“She knows.” Eleanor quickly answered truthfully.

“And she is still friends with you? You know this popular saying that goes ‘having a hunter as a friend is like asking the devil to bless you with long life. Both will betray you in the end.” Sebastian shook his head as he spat those words at him.

“I’m not like the other hunters Sebastian, I have truly changed. I like you, really really do like you and I don’t want what we had to be swept under the carpet, so please give me another chance, everyone deserves a second chance.” She tried to explain herself once again. Why wouldn’t Sebastian listen to her?

“I’m not like everyone who gives second damn chances.” Sebastian retorted out. He opened his mouth to continue when his car was hit by something and it somersaulted thrice before it finally came to a stop.

Samira watched the images on the screens in front of her and her hands clenched in anger. After she finished watching, she stood up and began destroying every computer in the room and afterwards set the warehouse on fire with the gasoline she had kept in one corner.

She left the warehouse as her mind went back to what she’d seen. She had found out who had placed a hit on Zinedine, she knows who it is but one question keeps intruding in her thoughts. Why?

The warehouse exploded behind her and that didn’t make her stop, she continued walking away and when she had covered some distance she stopped and looked around her. She was the only soul on that road but yet she knew she was being followed.

“Whoever you are, just come out of your hiding and stop being useless. Nothing gets past me so you’re just wasting your time.” She turned around and punched whoever that was behind her on the face, breaking the neck and making the face twisted backwards.

She went over to the person who was putting on a ninja outfit and removed the mask, it was an older male with black hair and eyes. She then proceeded to grab hold of the knife that had fallen from his hand and look at the dead face as she kneels close to him.

“Didn’t the person who sent you told you that I’m a force to reckon with?” she told him and bent the knife to the side, burying it inside a leg and twisted it which made the receiver scream as she dodged his next blow.

“You don’t mess with me, I am not an easy target, for you to get me you have to be faster than me.” Samira said, getting up to her feet quickly and using the knife to slice his throat open after removing it from his leg. Two down one more to go, she thought as she studied her surroundings.

“I am a well trained assassin, the very best so whoever you are just know that you are digging your grave with your hands.” She warned. “And believe me, I am not the type who warns so run away before I kill you.” she added and looked pointed to her left, a tree was there and behind the tree was the third killer.

She smiled to herself when she saw him run. Good, the man made the right decision. She didn’t bother running after him, they were humans and she knows who had sent them.

Again, the same question crossed her mind. Why?

She walked home.

Zinedine had worked until his stomach made some funny noise which indicates hunger. When he checked his office clock he was shocked that it was after eight, he didn’t know time had gone, plus the paperwork was much. He looked at Hiro who was still with his phone. Empty snacks bag

“Did your mother call again?”

“No, she didn’t, don’t worry she can take care of herself.”

“I know she can.” Zinedine smiled a bit. He wondered if Hiro knew the former work of his mother. He finished the paperwork in his hands and decided to finish the rest tomorrow then he stood up, stretching himself, “It’s time to go home Hiro. I know it has been boring for you today.”

“It is boring but I won’t complain because I was the one who forced myself to come with you so remind me next time if I want to follow you again how boring it is.” Hiro told him giving Zinedine back his phone and stretching his body then yawning. “I’m tired and feeling sleepy and you are strong enough Dad.” he added and opened his arms wide towards his Dad.
