Chapter 40

Lila pov
I open my eyes and I find myself on Kehlani bed, glance at my side and I saw Kehlani sleeping peacefully

I slept in her room

I gently stood up and tip toe out of her room, I walk gently to my room,,,,,I open to door and I saw Alex

He’s shirtless, it makes him look so hot,,,,,,,I remembered what he did to me and I frown my face immediately

I walk past him without saying anything, I open my wardrobe and brought a simple outfit, a white crop top with a white joggers

I took the clothe and enter the bathroom totally ignoring his existence, he ignored me too
I drop the clothe on the table and enter the tub, I on the shower and shiver when the water touch my body

Soon I was down bathing, I put on my clothes and step out of the bathroom,,,,,,, Alex is no longer in the room

I sat on the bed and stare at the pace, my phone start ringing jolting me out of my thought

“Hey Ryan”
“Where are you??”

“I’m home” I replied
“I just called to hear your voice” he said and I giggled like a baby

Alex pov
“Alex do you really have to hurt that innocent girl” Kehlani said as she pace around her room
“I never touched her” I replied

“The food she prepared for you, you poured it on her head and you threw the plate on the wall angrily,,,,,, what’s wrong?”

“Nothing is wrong” I replied
She sat on bed next to me and held my hand, she stare at me with care and affection

“You can’t lie to me, you know I can never fall for your lie,,,, just open up to me” she said
I chuckled

“I was in my office yesterday one of her friends came to tell me somethings about Lila, she said Lila already prepared a food for me that there’s poison in the food” I said

“What’s the girl name?” She asked
“Eliana” I replied

“Alex you are a matured man, don’t behave like a child,,,,,,,, don’t tell you trust that Eliana girl”

“I don’t know that Eliana girl but with what you are telling me, I hate that Eliana girl,,,,,,,she call herself Lila’s friend and she backbiting about her”

“Alex don’t let what others say to affect you guys relationship, they envied you guys relationship even tho it’s not real,,,,,,,,,, the Lila I know can’t do that bullshit to you I’m vouching for her” she said

Kehlani is not the type that vouch for people but this one that she’s vouching for Lila, it means she really like the girl, that the girl is really innocent

“I will apologize when I come back cause right now I have an emergency operation” I said
“Okay you can go” she said and I walk away

Few minutes later………

I arrive at the hospital and went straight to changing room, I change into the operation attire

I came out from the room then my phone rang, Mr park is here
“Alex we’re here, emergency” he said and I cut the call

I drop my phone and ran downstairs, I saw the nurse pushing the bed pretty fast
“A minute” I said and they stop

I stare at the little girl in front of me, I glance at Mr park and I could see tears forming in his eyes.
“I’m in pains” the little girl said with her tiny voice
“Everything will be over in few hours” I said and gesture to the nurse

I watch as they rush her to the surgery room, I glance at Mr park and the patients that all came out to find out what’s going on
“I need you in the surgery room too” I said
“Thank you Alex”

“It’s nothing”
“Okay let’s go to the surgery room”

We rush to the surgery room, everything is already ready,,,,,,,,,I stare at the her, she’s unconscious and I glance at Mr park

I put on the glove and wear my nose mask, I stare at my hands then glance at Mr park
I could see him staring at me with those nervous eyes, I smiled at him, a reassuring smile

“Doc we can start now” the nurse said

Lila pov
I laid on the bed for three hours just staring at the ceiling and the beautiful designs that’s on the wall

The door open and I glance at the door thinking it’s Kehlani but instead I saw Harris, he walked in slowly and close the door

What is he doing here??

“Lila Thompson” he said and I chuckled
“What are you doing in my room” I said

“I came to visit our sister-in-law” he said
“Okay you have seen me now so please take your leave” I said

“Mmm mmmm mmmm no not yet”
“Harris leave here” I said

“I have a gift to give you and it will be bad if I can’t give you the gift” he said

“Give me the gift and leave here” I said and he smiled
I stylishly adjust myself on the bed, I sat upright and rest my back on the pillow

“Remember I told you that I’m gonna reward you, I wanna give you the reward now” he said

“Harris give me whatever you wanna give me and leave this room” I said

Harris lick his lip as he stare at Lila with those lustful eyes, he wanna have her right now.
He wanna feel himself inside her, he wanna bury his face in her thing
