Chapter 39
I just stare at lily as the nurse inject drug inside her drip, a liquid one
“Doc she’s not showing any signs that she’s gonna wake up” the nurse said
“Exactly and we need to operate on before the cancer reach the last stage, that’s why I asked you to inject that liquid drug inside the water,,,,,,,,,,that will sustain but not for long” I replied
“I hope she does not die” she said
“That’s my greatest fear” I said and she glance at me
“I need to check on the other patients” I said and she nod her head
She walk out of the room and I held Lily hands caressing it softly
“I will make sure you wake up” I muttered
“You must not die”
I let go of her hand and make a quick phone call to a friend that’s a doctor
“Mr park” I said
“Alex Rodriguez” he said and I chuckled
“I need your help” I said
“I’m not in America presently but I will be back tomorrow, so let’s meet next tomorrow I even need your help” he said
“What can I do for you”
“My 5 years old daughter have colonoscopy, there’s a polyps found in her large intestine so I want you to operate on her, I should have done it by myself but my hand” he said
He can’t operate on anyone because of his hands, whenever he wants to operate on someone it’s then his hands will start shaking
“We’re gonna do colonoscopy surgery” I said
“Oh yeah” he said
“Okay transfer to my hospital” I said
“You’re doing the surgery tomorrow” he said and I widened my eyes
“So fast……”
“She’s in pains so I want to do it fast” he said
“Don’t worry your baby girl will be healthy” I said
“I’m trusting you on this, how much is the bill” he asked
“The bills is on me, come on Mr park you don’t need to pay any money, your baby girl is also like a daughter to me” I said and I could feel him smiling
“Thank you Alex” he said
“I will be expecting you tomorrow morning, I will get everything ready” I said
“We will see us” he said and cut the call
I glance at Lily then walk out of the ward lost in my own thought
I want Lily to wake up pretty fast
I don’t want the 60 days to over
I entered the office and I saw Samantha sitting on the couch, I just roll my eyeballs and walk past her
“What are you doing here?”
She slowly went on her knees and I smirk, so the almighty Samantha can kneel down for me
“Alex I’m sorry, I did not mean to cheat on you I don’t know what came over me” she said and I roll my eyeballs
“That word, I’m sick and tired of hearing that bullsht”
“Samantha it’s over between us can’t you get it straight into your head” I said
“Alex you’re joking right??, I said I’m sorry”
“Samantha use the door” I said
“You’re walking me out of your office” she said.
“Use the door before I call the security to throw you out” I said
“No it’s fine Alex, I will leave” she said
I watch as she stood up and walk out of the office, I slap my forehead as I stare at the door.
The door open and I was about to shout when I saw Eliana Lila friend
“Oh it’s you Eliana” I said
“Good day Mr Alex” she said and I smiled.
I stood up from the chair and went to sit on the couch in front of her
“Have you seat” I gesture
She sat down in front of me avoiding my gaze, I smiled at her…….is she shy
“Any problem??? How’s Lila??”
“Lila is the main reason why I’m here”

Eliana pov
“Lila is the main reason why I’m here” I said and he have this blank expression on his face
“What happen to her?” He asked
“She’s okay but I just came here to warn you about something”
“What’s the thing?”
“Lila is a pretender, she’s dangerous,,,,,,,, she said a lot of bad things about you”
“Like what??”
“She said situation made her marry you, she said she’s gonna wreck you” I said
“Lila said that??”
“That’s not all”
“Lila already poison the food you gonna eat tonight, she told me and I can play our conversation?” I said
“No it’s fine,,,,,,,,,is that all?”
“Yes, I want you to be careful around her,,,,,,, she’s dangerous” I said
“Thanks for your information” he said and I smiled
“I’m just helping you”
Now let’s see how long this marriage is gonna last, I’m gonna hunt you down

Lila pov
Later in the night
Eliana told me to prepare food for Alex, to impress him and also appreciate him for allowing me to write test for my sister
I drop the glass cup on the table in my room and stare at the food that I prepared, steak, baked potato and creamed spinach
I want him to taste my cooking, I smiled stupidly as I stare at the food.
Soon the door opened and I saw Alex with an angry look, who made him angry
“Hey are you angry?? Who made you angry??” I asked with concern and care
“Who prepared this food” he asked ignoring my questions
“I’m the one, I prepared bec………”
“Shut up, Lila so you are part of them” he said
I could sense the anger in his voice, my hands become wet,,,,,,, tension
“What do you mean??”
“Bring that food” he replied
I gave him the food and the next thing he did was to pour it on my head
He pour it on my head and throw the glass plate on the wall angrily, I screamed out in fear
“I hate you Lila” he said and walk out of the room
I don’t know when my eyes become misty, the tears start rolling down my cheek and I sniff.
I remove the food from my hair and try to pack the broken the plate then a piece of it pierce my fingers
“Gosh ouch!!” I said
I drop the plate and watch as my finger start bleeding, I just on the floor and let the tears flow freely like a river
Now he’s back to his grumpy attitude
Does he really have to transfer his anger on me
The door the open and I lift my head up to check if it’s Alex instead I saw Kehlani looking speechless
“Hey Lila what happened to you?” She asked and rush over to my side
“I’m fine” I said as I move away from her
“Alex did this to you” she said
“Kehlani I’m fine” I said as I avoid her gaze and walk out of the room
I went outside and luckily I saw a maid passing by “hey…”
“Good evening ma’am” she said and bow
“I need you to clean my room for me right now” I said and she nod her head
She went to the store and she came back holding a brush
We enter the room and I could not see Alex but I saw Kehlani in the room
“Help me to pack that dirt” I said and she nod her head
“Lila follow me to my room”
“Kehlani I’m fine…”
“Right now!” She said and walk away
I followed Kehlani to her room, I just stood staring at her
“Sit down” she gesture
“My body is stained” I said and she smiled
“Use my bathroom to clean yourself up and before you bath finish you will see your cloth on the bed” she said and I smiled
“Thank you”
“Don’t mind my brother, I will talk to him” she said and I smiled
Alex really need to learn how to control his anger, did I offend him in anyway??
I will just let Kehlani to handle it, to talk to him
