One of the biggest problems I see on a daily basis is all of the “experts” that are popping up left and right online nowadays.

I see people who make their first $10k online go and create their coaching program and teach what they did to make $10k online.

I see people who brand themselves as “7-figure affiliates” but actually become a 7-figure earner by selling their own course or coaching program.

I see people making false income claims saying they make thousands of dollars per day but when you ask for proof, they suddenly can’t seem to find it.

I see people who are multimillionaires and successful themselves, but their students never make any real money online.

I see this stuff every single day.

I also see people who are looking to start an online business join these courses and coaching programs struggle to make their first few sales and then quit because they are discouraged and think it’s impossible to make any money online.

And to be honest, I don’t blame them.

There are thousands of people selling their own coaching program and preaching the dream online but are actually living the nightmare.

Many people scream from the rooftops about how awesome they are, how much money they’ve made, and how many people they will help.

The problem is that it’s all talk.

This was something I experienced myself early on in my business.

I remember in my first 6 months of my business I had 3 different “coaches” that I followed in my own business.

Looking back there were a few red flags that I wish I had realized sooner, but there was 1 big one that I can’t believe I missed.

All of my “coaches” recommended that I send my leads to their $7 offer and then they would convert the leads for me into a high ticket sale.

At first, I thought to myself, “Yeah that is cool. That makes a lot of sense!”

I figured I’m a beginner, I can’t sell high ticket products myself. I’ll let the experts convert them for me.

That makes sense right?

So for a while, I sent all of my leads directly to their $7 courses so they could convert my leads into high ticket sales for me using the “value ladder”.

I did this for about 6 months.

Promoting $7 products and courses and hoping for the “value ladder” to kick in so I could start making some high ticket sales online.

In the 6 months I did this, I made $10 in sales IN TOTAL.

I was listening to my “expert coaches”, why was I not seeing results?

One day, I was reading an email from one of my coaches and I realized something that made my heart sink.

My “coach” was promoting another high ticket product as an affiliate himself.

Wait a minute?

I was on his email list because I had bought his low ticket course from someone else.

And he was promoting another course to me.

Was he doing this to MY leads as well?

I thought that when I sent my leads to the $7 offer that my “coach” was going to promote his offer so I could make a big ticket commission with HIS product.

Why in the world was he promoting ANOTHER high ticket product using the leads that I sent to him?

I was livid!

He was using my leads to sell something else on the backend so he could make big ticket commissions selling other products.

And then I thought of something that really broke my heart.

Were all of my “coaches” doing this with my leads I sent to them?

Is this the reason I was struggling to make high ticket sales?

Is this the reason that all of my “coaches” were making big bucks but all of their students struggled to make any real money using their methods?

I couldn’t believe it.

No wonder I wasn’t seeing any results.

The people I was following and promoting weren’t teaching me anything except how to build THEIR email lists so they could get rich while I struggled to even make my first big sale online.

When I realized this was happening, I felt mentally defeated.

I truly believed that every “coach” in the industry was corrupt and that a beginner like myself was never going to be successful.

There are so many people who are “coaches”, “mentors”, “trainers”, or whatever else you want to call it, who are preaching the dream and saying they can help you…

When in all honesty they just see you as another deposit in their bank account.

It’s hard to find a real leader in this industry.

A real leader that actually does as they teach.

A real leader that doesn’t tell you one thing about your business and then does something completely different.

A real leader that spends less time bragging about themselves and more time building others up.

A real leader that can help you get results and not just take your leads and promote some other big ticket product on the backend.

It’s hard to find someone that is REAL and genuine in this industry.

At this point, it’s almost impossible.

If you’re still reading at this point I want to give you one tip that I wish someone had told me when I was first getting started.

When you’re looking for a mentor or coach to follow, don’t pay attention to how much money the mentor themselves is making.

Pay attention to the success their STUDENTS are having.

Are their students making high ticket commissions online?

Are beginners making their first sales online?

Are their students making $10k, $20k, $50k per month following their guidance?

Are people who follow them ditching their 9-5 jobs?

And most importantly, are a LOT of people seeing success following them or is it just the same 2 or 3 people making money while everyone struggles?

These are the questions I wish I asked when I first got started.

If I did, it would have saved me 6 months of pain, struggling, and frustration in my business.

Following the wrong coach or mentor.

Simple as that.
