BISTRO BLISS RESTAURANT*
Jenkins drove them to a fancy restaurant immediately they left Mrs Gray store. They both stepped out of the car leaving Jenkins as they entered inside.
As they entered the restaurant, Katharina’s eyes widened in surprise. She looked around at the elegant decoration, her gaze moving from the sparkling chandeliers to the lavish furnishings. She was looking at everything in wonder.
Inside, a hostess approached and greeted them with a big smile on her face.
“Welcome to Bistro Bliss, Mr Marcus ,Please follow me”
She led them through the entrance and into the main dining area. The room was filled with the soft sounds of people talking and glasses clinking.
The hostess showed them to a private booth, hidden from the rest of the restaurant by a screen. A sign read “Reserved for Mr. Marcus”
As they sat down, a waiter came over with a friendly smile.
“I’m here to take your orders. Would you like champagne or something else to start?”
Marcus turned to Katharina who was looking dazed.
“What would you like, my dear?”
Katharina hesitated, her eyes moving to Marcus and then back to the waiter.
“Uh…I’m not sure” she stammered. “What snacks do you have?”
“We have a selection of classic New York snacks. Our options include knishes, hot dogs, pretzels, bagel bites, falafel, and potato latkes. We also have a variety of NY-style cookies, like black and whites, oatmeal raisin, and snickerdoodles”
Katharina’s eyes lit up as the waiter listed the snacks. She looked at Marcus, who was watching her with amusement.
“Take your time, Order whatever you like”
The waiter patiently waited for her response, his pen positioned over his notepad.
“I’ll try the knish and a black and white cookie, please” she finally said and the waitress turned to Marcus.
“And for you,sir?”
“I’ll have the same, but add a side of fries, please. And a coffee, black to be precise”
The waiter nodded and jotted down the order.
“Very good, sir. I’ll put that in for you. We’ll have your snacks out shortly” the waiter said and left to get their order.
“You’ve never been here before?” he asked her and Katharina shook her head, her eyes still wide with wonder.
“Not at all. This place is really beautiful” She looked around the private booth, taking in the luxurious details once again and Marcus smiled, pleased with himself.
“This is where I come to eat most of the time. I have my special private booth – the one we’re in now.” He leaned back in his chair, his eyes never leaving hers.
“It’s really nice, isn’t it?”he asked and Katharina nodded, still looking around in awe.
“It’s amazing. I feel like I’m in a different world” she said and Marcus laughed.
“I’m glad you like it. But tell me, what did you use on my daughter?” She’s grown really fond of you. She even suggested the three of us go for a day outing”
“Really?” she asked looking surprised.
“Yes, really. She’s taken a liking to you, Katharina. And I must say, I’m intrigued by i.” He leaned forward, his eyes locked on hers.
“Tell me, what’s your secret?” He asked and Katharina’s cheeks flushed pink as she shook her head.
“I don’t have any secret and I didn’t know any thing on your daughter”
“It’s just a surprise to me, Hazel never liked any woman she sees with me until you changed that, I’m intrigued. I guess she saw what I saw in you too” she said and Katharina blushed again.
“Sorry to ask or to spoil the mood but what about your wife?” Katharina asked nervously and he smiled.
“Died during the birth of Hazel, our daughter never met her. Been taking care of her on my own and with the help of my parents too”
“That must have been so hard for you” she said looking at him pitifully.
“Hey,don’t give me that look. You know a little about but I know nothing about you,that’s unfair”
“I will tell you about myself one day but definitely not today”
“Why not today?”
“Because I’m not ready to yet”she said.
“Okay I will wait,I will love to know more about miss beauty but can I ask a question?” He asked and she nodded.
“Are you in a relationship presently?”
“No” she shook her head immediately and he smiled in relief.
“I’ve only been in a relationship once,And it ended in disaster”
“What happened?” he asked curiously.
Katharina shook her head, her eyes dropping to the table.
“I prefer not to talk about it” she said,her mind drifting to her first boyfriend back at the palace,she quickly stopped her thoughts trying not to cry.
“Okay, I understand. No pressure”
Just then, the waiter returned with their order, his friendly smile a welcome interruption.
“Here we are! Knish, black and white cookie, and fries, just as ordered. Enjoy!” He set it on the table and then left.
Katharina’s eyes lit up as she took her first bite of the knish, her expression a mix of delight and surprise.
“Mmm, this is amazing!” she exclaimed and Marcus chuckled.
“I’m glad you love it” he said as he continued to watch her eat,amused by everything about her.
Meanwhile, Ruby who was at the restaurant at that time saw them come in, and she quickly sent a message to Natalie and a pic of them.

OUTSKIRTS OF VALDORIA KINGDOM

Elara’s hands moved to the zipper of her gown, slowly lowering it down her back. Just as she was about to step out of the dress, the door opened and Dominic entered.
His eyes widened, fixed on her exposed back. Elara’s cheeks flushed as she quickly turned to face him, her hands instinctively crossing over her chest.
“Dominic, I didn’t know you were… um… coming in” she stammered, her eyes cast downward, a shy smile playing on her lips.
Dominic’s eyes locked with Elara’s, his look filled with desire. He stood there, frozen, his chest rising and falling slowly.
Elara’s heart raced as she felt his eyes on her. Then, Dominic quickly turned and left the room, leaving Elara feeling both relieved and uneasy.

BLACKWOOD’S MANSION, MADISON’S ROOM*
Madison sat on her bed, her phone clutched in her hand as she chatted with Jace happily.
JACE: You looked really hot at school today.
Madison’s eyes widened as she read that, her face growing even redder as she felt a flutter in her chest. She quickly typed out a response, her fingers trembling slightly.
MADISON: Jace, you’re so bad! But thanks, I guess.
She hesitated before hitting send and Jace’s response was immediate.
JACE: Hey, I’m just stating the obvious! You’re always beautiful, Mads.
Madison’s blush deepened, her heart skipping a beat at the sweet compliment.
JACE: Wish it was you I was dating instead of Charlotte.
He sent again and Madison’s heart skipped a beat again, her eyes fixed on the screen as she felt a rush of emotions. She couldn’t believe what she was reading! Jace, her best friend’s boyfriend, was confessing his attraction to her? It felt like a betrayal, but at the same time, Madison couldn’t deny the flutter in her chest.
“I’m so messed up” she muttered as Charlotte message popped up on her screen,no knowing what to reply her.
MADISON: So it’s me you like and not Charlotte?
She sent, holding her breath as she waited for his reply.
Suddenly, she heard the door open and Mason walked in, munching on a handful of fries.
“Hey, sis! What’s up?” he asked, Madison quickly hid her phone behind her back, trying to compose herself.
“Just talking to Charlotte,” she lied, trying to sound casual.
“Charlotte, huh? Save it, Mads. You’re talking to Jace, aren’t you?”he asked and Madison’s eyes widened.
“How did you…?” she was asking, but Mason cut her off.
“I’m not blind, sis. I saw the way he looked at you at school. And now you’re blushing like crazy. Something’s going on, and I don’t think it’s good. Be careful, sis. Don’t betray your best friend because of a guy who’s obviously just trying to deceive you”
“Be careful, Mads. You’re playing with fire” he added and with that, he turned and left the room, leaving Madison feeling guilty.

NIGHT, MRS GRAY’S HOUSE*
“We’re here” he said, turning to Katharina with a smile as they got to her house.
“Thank you for today, Marcus, I had a wonderful time.”
“I’m glad you enjoyed it,I had a great time too”
“I will look into job for you soon, don’t bother looking for any job” he said.
“I really appreciate it” Katharina reached for the door handle, but then turned back to him.
“I really appreciated tonight, Marcus,You’re a wonderful company”
“You’re pretty wonderful yourself, Katharina” he said.
Katharina’s cheeks flushed pink, and she smiled again before opening the door and stepping out of the car.
Marcus watched her go and then Jenkins started the car and drove off.
“Katharina or what do they call you, stay away from Marcus” came Natalie voice as Katarina made to go inside and Katharina turned to look at her, recognising her as the lady from the hospital.
“Don’t tell me what to do and mind your own business” Katharina simply said.
“I’m making it my business. You don’t know what you’re getting yourself into with him”
“And you do? You’re just jealous. The scene at the hospital explains it all”
Natalie’s face reddened.
“You have no idea who you’re dealing with!”
Just then, Mrs. Gray and Emily came out drawn by the raised voices.
“What’s going on here?” Mrs. Gray asked.
“Mind your own business, woman. This doesn’t concern you”
“Hey, watch it, miss! You’re not going to bully us around!” Emily shouted at her.
“Or what? You’ll try to stop me? Please, you’re just a child”
“That’s enough. Let’s not make a scene” Mrs Gray said but Natalie cut her off.
“No, You stay out of this. This is between Katharina and me”
“You’re just mad because Katharina is prettier than you’ll ever be” Emily said childishly.
“You little brat!” she snarled, her hand flashing out to slap Emily hard across the face.
Emily’s eyes widened in shock as she stumbled backward, her hands flying to her cheek. Then, her eyes rolled back and she fell to the ground, unconsciously.
“Emily!!!”
