The driver came to pick me after eating and was surprised when we stopped in front of the popular but hard to enter company. H group of companies” I was led into a private elevator but not without people giving me the weird look.
Who is she?” One of the employee asked
I don’t know, maybe one of the CEO’s fling” the other replied.
CEO fling? Nobody has entered the CEO private elevator before aside from CEO himself. Are you sure this is one of his fling?”
I am sure, you know maybe she is a new fling and he is trying to make her special ” the other said and they continued walking.
I am so jealous of this girl.” Another employee said while watching my back in disgust.
I am sure she se duced the CEO, aside from her pretty face, she looks like a slut” the other said.
We passed the CEO secretary who was also looking at me coldly and was led into his office.
I was flabbergasted with the interior decor of the office, though it wasn’t so colourful but I am sure it worth some hundred thousand, there was a room there too in case he doesn’t want to go home.
There she comes” Henry said looking serious without smiling at all. It makes me wonder if this is the same guy I saw yesterday.
Yvonne, meet Manager Faith” He introduced me to the beautiful, slim woman sitting on the couch facing him. Her demeanor was strong and I am sure she is not somebody to be played with but wait, did I just hear correctly. Manager Faith?
I looked at the lady who just hugged me and I was shocked.
Ma… Ma… Manager Faith? The only manager who can make a D-LIST actress become an A-list actress in a year?? But why is she here?” I said in my mind and was about to open my mouth when Henry continued as if he knows what was happening on my mind.
Manager Faith will be your manager from now on”
Manager Faith, this is the actor I want you to manage, she hasn’t featured in any movie before but I know she won’t disappoint you”
She hasn’t featured in any movie before?” Manager faith looked at me doubting my capabilities and continue. ” How can I be sure she is so good as you have praised?”
I want to know when you started asking me irrelevant questions, if you don’t want to take her, remember to resign before the day runs out” He said coldly as he walked back to his seat.
I…I..am sorry Master, I will, I will manage her, and I promise to perform some miracle on her” she shivered but but not without bragging.
Suit yourself, you can go now. Someone will bring her to your office” he said without looking up and Manager Faith walked out after nodding in acknowledgement.
My feet were rooted on the floor, they refused to move. If I tell you I wasn’t scared of the Henry in front of me now then I am joking. I don’t know whether to go out or take me sit or keep standing.
Won’t you have your seat?” He asked looking at me and smiling brightly, if someone told you this was the Henry who looked like an assassin a while ago, you are going to deny it.
Me?? I.. I will sit ” I stammered and faking a smile just to ease my fears.
Are you scared of me?” He asked
Who will not be scared of your killer look” I said in my mind because I know I won’t even say it out and replied” I am not scared of you.
He smiled as if he just see through my lies and gesture for me to near him.
So why are you sweating?” He asked and that was when I realise that sweat has covered my forehead, I bow my head embarrassed.
You don’t need to be scared of me. I have to be like this so they don’t take me for granted.” He stood up, placed his hand on my head playing with my hair.
What does that mean Henry?”
What?”
Earlier, I mean Manager Faith.”
Oh, she is one of the manager in H Entertainment so I decided to make her your manager”
But I never told you I wanted to act.”
Even if you didn’t tell me, I know you really want to pursue your career, so why can’t I help you?”
But, I want to achieve everything with my hard work, I don’t want people…. ” I tried to talk with shaking voice because the way he behave to me makes me cry.
Why I’m I this lucky? I just met this man three days ago and he is this nice to me??
Shussh, I know what you want to say, don’t worry, this will be this last time I will interfere in your business. I won’t interfere again, so make sure you work hard or else I might intervene” he said jokingly and I hugged him as tears rolled down.
How can you be this good to me?? My father does not even care this much” I said with shaking voice.
I am not your father, I am your husband and you are my wife. That’s one of my duty as your husband.”
Thank You Mr, I promise to be a good wife” I said amidst tears and he pulled my chin up making me look straight to his eyes.
Are you sure?” He asked smiling mischievously. I am very sure he has something on his sleeve and I just entered his trap..
Ye… N..yes” I stammered and gulped hard. That look, is he going to devour me now.
He bent to my ear level and whispered into my ear.
How about you start being a good wife on the be d” he said and my cheeks turned red as I looked down in embarrassment.
This man is just a per vert, how can he say that. He was laughing hard at my reaction and I was so embarrassed thankfully someone knocked at the door and I quickly went to sit on the couch. The secretary walked after he asked the person to come in.
Sir, The CEO of the CM company is on his way here.” She said seductively while shaking her b ©©bs and bum.
Okay, tell him to wait in the meeting room when he comes ”
Okay sir” she said and was walking out when she stopped in front of me giving me the ” don’t try nonsense” look before closing the door behind her.
I was cooking in the kitchen when I felt a warm hand on my waist. My heart was beating fast when I inhale his scent, that was Henry.
You’re back, how was work today? ”
Hmm.. Fine” he replied as he bend his head to inhale the scent of my hair.
Inhaling your scent has sent all my tiredness away, what’s the name of your shampoo ” he asked without removing his hand from my waist which is making me blush hard.
She’s good shampoo.”
Ohhh.. So why are you cooking? Where us Aunty Abby?”
I asked her to go to her room, I just feel like doing something today”
You don’t need to stress yourself, you know tomorrow is the first shoot of “A woman’s revenge”
I know, so don’t worry, cooking won’t exhaust my strength and the night is still young so I will be able to regain my strength back before morning.”
I have a bad news for you” he said looking serious all of a sudden, he made me turn facing him and my heart skip.

Yes, I wanted to remove her but i remembered you told me not to interfere in your career”
Okay, don’t worry, she is not a threat to me.” I said and continued with what I was doing.
Okay, let me go freshen up now, I am really tired” he said and walked out of the kitchen but not without kissing me, making me blush again
