Yvonne’s POV
I opened my eyes in a dark room, it looked like an abandoned warehouse. It is big and from the way it sounds, it looks like it is empty. It has only a small window where the ray of sun was coming from. I tried to move my hands but it is not moving.
What? My hands are already tied? That was when I noticed I am already tied to a chair. Fear gripped me and my mind shifted to my baby. A hot drop of tears dropped from my eyes and I bit my lips trying to suppress the tears from falling.
I need to leave here somehow, I need to save myself for my baby.” That was the only think that was echoing in my ear but the question is how?
Henry’s Office.
Mr G, can you please hasten up with this meeting?” Henry was still in the meeting room arguing with Mr G.
Okay, okay Mr Henry, but I don’t like how you attended to me today.” Mr G said.
So sorry, but you can’t understand, I need to make some calls.” He said as he stood up.
Won’t you wait for me to sign it anymore?”
I don’t think so. Frank.” He called and Frank rushed in with his phone.
Ma’am Yvonne has been calling you sir.” Frank said as he bowed in respect.
What? Yvonne has been calling and you didn’t dim it fit for you to tell me?” Henry fired angrily as he take the phone from him angrily.
You were busy with the meeting and I do not want to barge in.” He stammered as he tried to explain but Henry doesn’t want to hear any of it.
And who cares about the damn meeting?.” He stood up as he tried to call back, the phone rang but nobody picked up. Just be prayerful that my wife is alright. Or else?” He threatened ad he stormed out with his eyes filled with anger and fears.
Pls be safe, pls be safe, pls be safe.” He kept praying in his mind as he board the elevator.
He tried Eva’s number and someone picked it up after the 3rd ring.
Eva? Where are you?” He said hastily.
Calm down sir, this is not Eva. ” the stranger said from the other side of the phone.
Who.. Who is this? Where is Eva?” Henry stammered as his heart skipped a beat.
She is lying unconscious right now in H avenue.”
What? Unconscious?”
Yes, the ambulance has been called and they will be here anytime soon.”
Okay, I will be there soon.” He said as he hung up, trailed Eva location with GPS , entered his car and drove off without taking any guard with him. He got to the scene in a blink of an eye and saw Eva who has already regained her consciousness.
I said I am fine, let me go.” She shouted at one if the nurse who was trying to help her into the ambulance.
Miss, I think you need to go to the hospital, you are bleeding profusely.”
I said I am fine, do you need me to tell you this again?” She shouted as she jerked the nurse hand from her body and walked towards Henry.
I am..am sorry sir.” She stammered shivering in fear.
Where is she?” Henry asked coldly. Emitting the powerful aura. The on lookers felt their back hair stand and they also shivered in fear.
She….I…tried my…” She tried to talk but Henry snapped at her angrily.” Where is my wife?”
They took her with them. They were more than what I can handle, they took her with them.” Eva said as tears stream down. Henry walked to his car, and entered.
Aren’t you coming in?” He said to Eva who is still crying. Eva quickly wiped her tears and entered the car. All the on lookers watched in surprised and was shocked when the duo left.
Yvonne’s POV
I need water, give me water.” I shouted praying that at least someone will hear my voice and help me. The door opened and I heard footsteps coming towards me. Suddenly the warehouse lit up and that was when I know my assumption was correct. There was nothing in the warehouse aside from my chair and I.
I looked towards the footsteps, Daniel was walking towards me majestically. For the first time I got scared of the man who was once my father but I hid it perfectly so he won’t see me as a weak girl anymore.
WO..WO.. Get the first lady water. She is thirsty.” He mocked as he stopped in front of me. Two of the guys were standing beside me, looking at me with lust filled in their eyes.
So bad, the first lady can’t get any water here.” One of the guys said as they all laughed wickedly. I smirked and also joined them in their laughter, Daniel was very surprised and he stopped laughing looking at me intently.
Why are you so a fool dear Ex Father?” I said trying to provoke him and it worked because he was gritting his teeth angrily while glaring at me.
Don’t give her any water till I am through with her.” He ordered angrily while pointing at them.
Ta..ta..ta… Still a fool. ” I said in a mockery tone while shaking my head.
He raised his hand and slapped me hard on my face.
That’s for calling me a fool.” He said angrily and I scoffed while glaring at him angrily.
Why are you pained? Is it because you know you are a fool or because the truth is bitter?”
You!!!!” He rushed towards me and strangled me without any mercy in his eyes.
I gathered some saliva in my mouth and poured it on his face. He left me angrily as he tried to clean his face.
That’s for trying to strangle me.” I said as I coughed roughly trying to regain my breath. He smiled wickedly and whispered to the guy at his left side. The guy nodded and left, he came back with a glass of water and handed it over to Daniel. Daniel took the water from him and walked towards me, he stopped in front of me and poured the water on my face.
Take drink, you want water? Start drinking.” He said and laughed wickedly while the others also joined in the laughter. He threw the glass on the floor and the glass broke angrily.
Do you think you will be alive when Henry found out you did this to his wife?” I said and he smirked as he cleaned his hands with a grey hand towel.
That is if he finds you alive.” He said and I shivered inwardly. When did this man became as devilish as this? It now dawn to me that my life is indeed in danger. I need to escape, but how?.” I was still looking around when he spoke up again.” Don’t worry, I am not killing you now, I will threaten him with your life so he could sign a very important document for me. Once he does that, then I can peacefully kill you. But till then. Take care of yourself my beautiful daughter. ” he said as he smirked and walked away.
The question is.. How can Yvonne escape?
