CHAPTER 50
Instead of replying, Jemima rushed to him and grabbed his body closer to hers, hugging him tightly.

Maxwell stood still as she began crying, and he raised his arms to her back, attempting to hug her back.
The hands stopped a little before they’d get to her back, and they stayed there without touching her till she broke the hug herself and looked up at his face.
Her face was already so teary, and as a result of the slap she received, her cheek is fking red.
“Calm down” Maxwell said, and she nodded nervously, trying to balance her high-pitched breaths.
“Francesca called” he said.
“A camera was…the camera…
Jemima began stuttering as her breathing came hard again.
“Breathe in and out three times” Maxwell said, and she quickly did that, holding her chest throughout.
“A camera was planted in my bedroom, I think it came with the flowerpot cos I do order for a change of it every month, the last order came last week, I think they’ve been watching me since then, what if they saw my nkedness?
What if they have my nudes? Huh? What if… what if… anything is possible!!” She started crying again, and this time, it was Maxwell who hugged her.
“I told you to calm down” he whispered as he began patting her back gently.
“Then he threatened Dolores to plant another one in my bathroom, thanks to Dolores’s faithfulness, I’d have been seen stark nked!” She said, and he broke the hug.
He went to the guy lying down unconscious and bent beside him.
“He’s the flower shop guy, the one who delivers the flowers monthly” Jemima said.
Maxwell got his phone immediately. He called the cops, and it only took five minutes before they came.
He was awakened with a slap and dragged into the police car which drove off to the police house.
Maxwell and Jemima followed in her car, and throughout the drive, he remained silent which got her restless.
“Maxwell” she suddenly called.
“What?” He asked, not looking sidewards. He’s the one driving though.
“You’re not saying anything again” she sniffed.
“What’d I say?” He replied, and she started picking on her nails.
She did that till they got to the police house and went in together.
The flower shop guy was already getting interrogated by the cops, so they joined the seats.
“Why did you have a camera planted in her place? You badly wanna see nvdes that much?” A cop asked.
“Yes, is that such a taboo?” The guy replied, and Maxwell shocked everyone by standing immediately.
He climbed the table and jumped on the other side where the guy is.
He landed in front of his chair and locked his shirt in the front, then he began pvnching him back to back, making him bI.eed so much within a second.
“How dare you talk with confidence after what you did dirtbag!!! He yelled, landing the fifth punch on his face.
The cops began trying to drag him away from the guy, but he wouldn’t budge as he gave him the sixth pvnch.
Jemima’s eyes were wide throughout as she watched him release his anger on the guy.
He gave him the seventh punch before the cops could get him away.
He was breathing heavily with a bI.oody fist.
“Who are you? Her junior brother?” A cop asked, and Jemima stood.
“He’s my secretary” she said.
“Still, this is a police house, and everything here should be handled by us, manhandling is not allowed” the cop replied, and Jemima took Maxwell back to his seat.
“You ok?” She asked.
He didn’t reply, and she bit her lip hard. Why the h’ll is he being cold?
“Luckily, the camera has the videos it captured, so we can actually detect if there are nvdes” a cop said.
“Oh, I’d watch” Jemima quickly said, and a laptop was placed in front of her with the camera footages.
