CHAPTER 52
XXIV CARATS~ 8:30PM
“This is the only store in Paris which opens on Sundays, and the craziest thing is that it’s the busiest on Sundays too, can’t we at least enjoy the privilege of one resting day?” Cypress complained as she changed back into her white joggers and hood in the locker room.
The store is closing in ten minutes, and she’s the only attendant who’s still in.
She sighed and carried her white backpack before leaving the room, but she held her chest when she suddenly bumped into Oliver, waiting in front of it.
“You scared me!”
“Was waiting for you” he smiled.
“Why? Are you buying me coffee again?” She asked, walking away.
“Wait!” He suddenly said, and she faced him, only for him to raise his hand to her hair.
He brushed a strand away from her forehead, and she blinked slowly.
“You look better without any strand on your forehead” he smiled, and she blinked again before clearing her throat.
“What’s this? Are you trying to make me fall for you?” She said awkwardly and started walking away again.
“Is it working?” He asked.
“Don’t even think about it” she replied.
“How about beer before we go home?” He asked, and she automatically turned back.
“Lead me to the bar!!!” She said crazily, and he smiled.
BLAZING EMOTIONS : CHAPTERS 51 – 60
AN HOUR LATER~ A BAR
“We’d have gone to your granny’s bar instead” Oliver said as he guided drunk Cypress out of the bar.
She’s half conscious as her head kept swinging about on his shoulder. Her arm is crossed on his other shoulder.
“The world is spherical, I guess no one taught you when you were in elementary” she laughed, raising a leg up.
“Drop the leg, we need to leave” Oliver breathed, looking at her all red face as she smiled cutely.
“I asked you a question!” She said in her husky accent like a man.
Oliver sighed tiredly. “Right, the earth is spherical, can we go now?”
Cypress immediately laughed sillily, breaking free from him.
“Then you must know Usain Bolt” she said.
“Usain Bolt? He’s the world best runner” he replied, and she bent down on a knee, palms down.
“What are you doing?” He asked, and she rolled up her eyes.
“Whoopee!!!’ she screamed, running off immediately.
“What!” Oliver gasped.
“Cypress!” He shouted, running after her as she began dashing around the street, crossing roads and jumping obstacles.
“Cypress!!!” He screamed, yanking off his jacket when it was becoming an hindrance.
He threw up the beer he drank, and his tummy began hurting as he continued chasing the crazy runner.
“Cypress!!!” He yelled again just when she was about to jump a brick in an alley.
She stopped for a while, and he almost caught up, but just as he was about to catch her, she jumped, so he jumped with her, and they both landed down at the other end, but it wasn’t an ordinary landing, cos his lips was right on hers!
