CHAPTER 65
“Mr. Milla, you might not know but I think this is actually for good. You went from 1M to 5M+ already, I’m sure you’d reach 6M in an hour. Boss, you hit additional 1M too, isn’t it so great?”
Jemima faced Maxwell, and they started the usual long stare at each other with different thoughts in their minds till they got to her mansion.
Reporters are already stacked up in front of it, and their eyes widened.
“Ion think it’s advisable to stay here tonight, I’ll get you to an hotel” Lina said and drove away immediately.
Some of the reporters were even running after the car till it went out of sight.
“I should go home though” Maxwell said.
“You think your house would be free of reporters too? Don’t even try it unless you wanna answer questions throughout” Lina replied, driving into Sparkle Hotel.
Lina gave them masks, and they put them on before coming out of the car.
They walked cautiously out of the car, and they stepped into the hotel in same manner.
Lina booked the room, and they entered the elevator at once.
“Fk! Never knew I was gonna trend like this today, who could be behind this?” Jemima muttered.
“Isn’t it obvious? My haters. CleoSpeedy and Lincoln” Maxwell replied.
“I personally think it’s miss Tatiana” Lina said.
“It doesn’t matter right now. They failed and that’s a bonus for us” Jemima said, and Lina faced them.
“So… You’re gonna admit the dating rumours?” She asked.
Before they could reply, the elevator door opened, and they came out to the front of their room.
“You both need to lay low for now, I’d arrange all the needed necessities and bring them over” Lina said and smiled before going back into the elevator.
Jemima entered the room with Maxwell, and she faced him immediately she dropped her bag.
“So…what do you wanna do?” She asked.
“I should be asking you that” he replied.
“Whoever did this helped us out, so I’m thinking of… Approving our rela…
“We can’t approve it” he cut in, and she faced him quickly.
“Why?”
“We’re not…in a relationship” he replied slowly.
“But…I think I like…
She was interrupted by the ringing of his phone, and he brought it out of his pocket to pick. It’s Cypress.
“Big sis”
“Where the h’ll are you?” She asked, not bothering to hide the anger in her voice.
“Sparkle Hotel” he replied.
“I’m coming over right now, meet me at the lobby!” She snapped.
“But…
He hasn’t finished when she hung up.
“I need to go meet my sis” he said and opened the door, but Jemima held him back.
“Your mask” she pushed it into his palm.
“Thanks” he smiled dryly and rushed out.
Jemima sighed and shut the door, then she stood still in front of it.
“We’re not in a relationship, he’s… right” she muttered sadly, and her phone rang.
It’s an unknown number, so she ignored it, but it kept ringing, she had to pick.
“Hello?”
“Am I speaking to Jemima Andrade-Kings?” The familiar voice asked.
“Yeah, sure”
“This is Suzy Milla, can we meet right now?”
“Huh? Maxwell’s granny?”
“I’m in the lobby restroom of the hotel” Suzy replied and hung up.
“The hotel? This hotel?” Jemima said with wide eyes, using her mask before rushing out of the room too
