SLOANE’S PLACE
Sloane dropped her phone when she couldn’t bear to see the news anymore.
Multiple posts kept coming in about it, and it doesn’t look like it’d stop soon.
She sighed and stood, only to see Miguel behind.
“You scared me!” She fell back on the chair, and he came forward.
“I hate when you pull that sad face” he said.
“I’m fine, really” she smiled.
“I know fake smiles” he said.
“Miguel, can you go watch your favorite avengers please? I’m suffering here” she said and made to stand, but he climbed the couch with her and hugged her instead.
“Don’t take it to heart, if he’s meant for you, then he’d come back” he whispered, stroking her hair.
“Miguel” she whispered, hugging him tighter.

SPARKLE HOTEL
Jemima was lying exhausted in bed, eyes closed when her phone started ringing again.
“I should have switched it off” she muttered, sitting up to see it’s her dad.
“Dad?” She picked.
“Now explain what’s happening to me, I told you to get married, I didn’t tell you to get involved with a classless guy like that!
How dare you stoop as low as your secretary! A pauper like Darell!” He shouted.
“So now what?” She asked.
“Schedule a press conference for tommorow and deny everything! You only got more popular in the celeb world but your reputation as the CEO of Skyline is getting tarnished!” He yelled.
“You only care about Skyline, right? You don’t care about me as your daughter.
You should handover the company to Tatiana if all you care about is your happiness, does my happiness not matter? Why is everyone against it!” She shouted, and tears fell from her eyes.
“Are you indirectly telling me he’s your happiness?” Chairman replied, and that was when Maxwell came in.
She looked at him and sniffed before wiping her tears.
“Yeah, so please stop choking me!” She yelled and hung up.
“You should leave” she told Maxwell.
“What!” He squinted.
“Leave, I don’t wanna use you” she replied.
“Use me?” He blinked.
“Don’t you get it? I’m only using you to get back at your granny and sis, so leave!” She shouted.
“What!”
“Yeah, that’s how inhumane and beastly I am, so don’t even try liking me ok? I’m even old enough to be your aunt yunno? It’s over so walk away!” She pushed him out of the room and locked the door.
She stood in the middle of the room for a minute before bursting into tears, sitting on the bare ground.

“You think it’d work? I mean… going to her to beg like that” Warren said.
He’s sitting beside granny while Cypress is up, pacing around the living room.
“If she has a little bit of humanity left in her, she’d succumb” granny replied.
“Why aren’t you sitting?” Warren faced Cypress.
“It seems like we’re the only ones against this, the whole Paris wants them together, and it seems Mell really fell for her” she replied.
“What! That old woman?” Granny replied.
“Let’s not exaggerate, she’s only four years older” Warren muttered.
“But still, it’s unacceptable, she’s not the one definitely” Granny replied.
“Mell’s followers is in 7M already, are you sure he won’t clock 15 before tommorow?” Warren said, staring at his phone screen.
