CHAPTER 68
The door opened, and Maxwell came in.
“Mell!” He spranged up as he walked to them, looking downcast.
“Treasure” granny went closer to grab his arms.
Cypress kept quiet, staring at him.
“Did you come to Sparkle today?” He asked, and granny looked away.
“You promised to always be faithful to me” he said.
“I got her line from your phone on the day you went back as her secretary, and today after hearing the news, I went to her house and met reporters, so I waited with them till her car appeared, but it drove off immediately, and I rode a taxi, going after the car till I got to the hotel.
I called her to meet me at the restroom” she explained.
“What did you tell her?” He asked calmly.
“Treasure…
“Please” he cut in.
“I told her to stop using you to get back at me” she finally said, and he nodded.
“Goodnight” she stroked her hair gently and started going in.
“Mell” Cypress called, and he looked back to smile slightly at her before going in.
He settled on his working chair and remembered the words she said earlier.
“She was like that cos of what my granny said?”

NEXT MORNING~ SKYLINE CORPORATIONS
Jemima came to work straight from the hotel. She hasn’t stepped her house since yesterday since the reports spent all night in front of it.
Thanks to her guards, no reporter is in front of the company when she arrived, but Maxwell was already waiting with Lina and the guards.
She held eyes with Maxwell immediately she came out, but it didn’t take long.
Maxwell’s eyes were on the hairband she banded her hair with.
She started walking into the company, and they followed her behind.
Maxwell started reading her schedule without looking at the book, and when he was done, she faced him.
“Company games day?” She asked.
“Yes, you said the company needed something to bring the staffs together for once, so i planned for it to happen on Friday” he replied.
“Submit the program before the end of today” she said.
“Sure” he replied.
“And the Golden contract?” She asked.
“Mr Roberts will be coming over to Paris tonight to start the negotiation” he replied.
“Oh, the press are asking for a conference about the pictures that trended yesterday” Lina said.
“My schedule is too tight for that right now, over” Jemima replied as they entered the elevator.
They got to their floor after two minutes, and she entered her office immediately.
“I could feel the cold air around her, is she back to being the heartless devil?” Lina muttered.
Maxwell picked the program file and made to enter her office.
“Will there be a voting game for the most popular male and female staff? Heard the winners will get to go on a date together” Lina said.
“I added it” Maxwell replied.
“Yes!” Lina jumped as he entered the office.
