I watched silently as the hired men parked our things into the trunk
My mum was in her kitchen making sure she got all her cooking spics
My family is one of a kind, One you will wish to have
Beside the house was my six years old brother biding his friends good bye
Seriously none of us wanted to leave but we have to
“Samar are you okay?” I asked carrying him up and dusting his clothes
“No am not, I told mum I want to stay here and play with Debby and mash but she insisted on us leaving” he pouts and I smiled patting him
My brother was someone I never used to play, he was my all and all though he speaks more than his age
“Don’t worry Samar, you will meet new friends” I smiled at him
“Mum also said that, but what if I don’t?”
“You don’t have to think negative Samar, come on mummy is calling you” I says bringing him down as I watched him ran into the room
I cleaned the sweat on my face then turk my hand into my pocket and walk out of the gate

Naive
And sometimes crazy!
My dad?…. Well my dad left us about five years ago, a year after Samar’s birth
I don’t know why he did that though but I had always heard him argue with my mum late at night but I was too little to understand all this
Well in the face of my brother I didn’t let him see I also don’t want to leave Australia to new York
I heard ladies over there compete over there beauty unlike here in Australia
The only thing that got me a little more exciting about New York is that I heard they has a lot of handsome boys
Yeah! Crazy huh?
Have never had a date with any guy but I sure have over 1000 guys am crushing on and sometimes I wonder if any of them do crush on me
We are not all that rich, we are in between rich and poor
At least I never go to bed hungry
My father was one who is ready to do all good or bad to see we have a brighter future while my mum was the type that can do anything to see we didn’t go to bed hungry
But after my dad left , mum and I have to take the responsibility of caring for Samar
Mum actually have taken the role of both mother and father in our lives and I will forever love her for that
She’s my super woman!
“Hey, watch where you go mad girl!” Someone yelled and I turned to realize I was blocking his way
Mad girl! I scoff and continued my journey
Am leaving soon so it’s better I don’t blush off someone’s head
I entered Vanessa’s compound as the guards opened the gate
Vanessa have always been my friend since we park into Australia and sometimes I wonder if I can find any friend as trust worthy as she
But well! They are other ladies out there who are still like her though few!
“Hey! Wasn’t expecting you” she yelled standing from the chair to hug me
“Oh yeah! Here I am” I smiles at her kssing her both cheeks
“Am so gonna miss you babe.” She says
“Hey I don’t wanna go emotional now , just came to tell you we are leaving” I says and she nodded
“Take care of yourself will ya?
“Sure” I smiled and her and turned walking out of her house as she waves at me

“Amily where are you coming from? You kept us waiting for over 30 minutes” My mum yelled
“Am sorry mum just went to wave at some friends” I pouts
“It’s okay Mum” Samar pats her and she sighed getting into the car
Well, Samar usually sometimes play the role of father and my mum always respect his decisions
To her he was a child who Came to represent his dad and Samar never cease bringing up mummy’s hope that someday dad will be back
For good!
And then my family will be complete
“Amy you shouldn’t try to provoke her not today” Samar cautions
“I didnt offend her? Just went to wave at friends really”
“It took you long” he nags
“Samar…..Please can we just leave already or am going into the house,again” I says and he sighed
Yeah, he can be so bossy and sometimes I ask mum if he’s Really six Years old
