A movement woke me up, I open my eyes and saw Dean trying to get off the bed.
I yawn sleepily.
“Dean?”
He paused his movement and turn to me.
“Did I wake you?”
I shake my head. “Where are you going?”
“Aunt was knocking, I wanted to check her”
Just then Mom knock again.
“Bee, Dean, breakfast is ready, Mr Morgan is waiting at the dinning table!” She said from outside.
“Thanks, Aunt. We’ll be right there!” Dean reply her.
“Ok, don’t take too long!” Then she left.
Dean sat back on the bed and helped me sat up, my head resting on the headboard of our bed.
“My Phoebe, I will go to the dungeon soon, when I get back I’ll hand the company back to my dad. Then we’ll go over my own mansion,,,, ”
“Wait, dean. Why are we leaving this mansion?”
He inhale deeply.
“Well, I don’t think I can face my dad after what my father did,,, ”
“Dean, don’t think like that, I know Mr Morgan is a kind man, in his heart you are his son”
He doesn’t say anything more but I know he’s still doubtful of himself. He nod.
“Right, you said you’re going to the dungeon. Why?”
“I still have two people to torture, they must pay for hurting you!”
I close my eyes and inhale deeply, then exhale slowly. They really hurt and I don’t want to remember any of it, it was a h©rrible experience.
Had Nathan not help, I’d have been dead by now. Wait,,,, Nathan!!
“Have you killed Nathan?!” I asked anxiously.
He frowns in confusion.
“Who is Nathan?”
“The guy that saved me,, have you killed him?”
“I’ve killed three already, I don’t know if he’s one of them”
“No, no, no,,, he shouldn’t be among them, I’ll feel so guilty!” I panicked.
“My Phoebe, calm down, you worrying is not good for our baby. And besides, he was among the people that hurt you!”
“Yes, he hurt me, but he was also my saviour. It’s only right if I save him now, maybe he’ll repent and live a good life”
Dean kept quiet for a few minutes, then he said.
“Ok, you can come with me to the dungeon and check if he’s still alive, if he is you’ll decide what I do with him”
“No, I don’t wanna come to the dungeon, it makes me feel. Just ask for their names, if he’s one of them let him go home. Tell him I said he should live a good life!”
Dean smiled and kssed my forehead. “My Phoebe has a heart of gold!”
I rolled my eyes.
“I’m just returning a favour”
He got up and carried me, then head towards the bathroom.
“Let’s freshen up and get down for breakfast!” I nod.

“Yo! Finally, the king and queen is here!” Javier exclaims from the dinning table.
Dean and I stood close to our empty seats, around the table are my mom, Mr Morgan, Javier and Brittany.
“Good morning, everyone!” I said.
A series of good morning was heard, Dean pulled out a chair and sat me on it then he sat next to me.
“Ian, Good morning!” Mr Morgan greet him.
Dean stilled and squeeze my hand, I can feel his nervousness.
“G-good morning, da,,,, uncle,,,,” he paused and take a deep breath. “Good morning, Mr Morgan!”
I glanced at Mr Morgan, he’s looking at Dean with an amused expression.
“Oh? Mr Morgan? So, now you don’t regard me as your dad?”
“I’m-sorry-for-all-the-troubles-my-father-has-caused-I-swear-i’m-not-like-him-i,,,,,, ”
“Son, take a deep breath” Mr Morgan cuts him off.
Dean quickly shuts up and dared not raised his head. Mr Morgan chuckled and takes Dean’s hand as they are sitting next to each other.
“Ian, don’t talk about Jeremy, you are nothing like him. You are my son! My first son and the heir to my properties! You are doing a great job keeping this family together, you are a Morgan and you belong here! Don’t stop calling me dad, you are my pride and joy!”
“T-then what about Javier?”
Javier raised his head and stuff an apple in Brittany’s mouth, then he turns back to Dean and laugh briefly.
“Brother Ian, you are my elder brother and that will never change. Since you are my elder brother, it’s your right to inherit dad’s properties. Also, I don’t think I can devote my time and energy on running the Morgan’s enterprise, it’s a huge headache” he pulled Britt closer. “Besides, I wanna spend all my time with my wifey!” He wink at her and Britt blush.
“So, Ian, you heard your brother. This family will always be yours, this mansion is your home!” Mr Morgan said.
I smile, this is exactly what Dean need. Reassurance!
Dean smiled.
“Thanks, Dad!”
“I love you, son”
Then it was silence, until Mom spoke up.
“Ok, now we are together, I wanna say something”
“Go ahead” Mr Morgan said.
“Well, I will be leaving,,, ”
“Leaving?! Why?!” I asked alarmed. We just reunite and now she’s leaving?
She smiled and faced me.
“I can’t inconvenience you guys here, I have to leave and search for a job to sustain myself”
“Ellen, don’t say that. We are all family here, you are not inconveniencing anyone. This is your home too” Mr Morgan said.
Mom tries to argue but Mr Morgan shot her a look and she quiets down.
“No one is leaving! We are all family, we will share everything together” he said.
Everyone nod, smile on everyone’s faces. My smile is the biggest cause I get to stay with my mom.
“Good! It’s settled, let’s dig in” he said.
Just as everyone’s about to start eating, Javier stops us. He take out something from his pocket and turned to Britt.
“Marry me!” He said.
I look at his hand again, he’s holding a ring in front of her.
Ok, I didn’t see this coming and I guess Britt didn’t too.
“Erm, Javier,,,,,”
“I know, you are not ready for all this and most especially, you are not ready to be a Mom now. But I still want you to be my wife, I promise I won’t urge you for a baby, I can wait until you are ready to have one. I’ll be behind you supporting your career, I’ll be applauding for all your success. I just need only one thing from you, marry me! Be my wife!”
Brittany stared at him with her mouth wide open, I guess she is speechless. I look at me and I nod at her, she deserves happiness.
She turned back to Javier and nod. “Yes! Yes! I will marry you!”
Javier breaks into a bright smile and quickly slip the ring in her finger, he kssed the ring and crashed his lips on hers.
“Thank you, baby! Thank you so much!”
Mr Morgan clears his throat and smile.
“Javier, that’s a good one. That’s very good, now Ian, your younger brother is getting married soon, what about you? When are you gonna put a ring on it?”
Dean smile and take my hand he kssed my hand and look in my eyes.
“Soon, after our baby is born!” He wink at me.
I smile weakly, if only he knew I won’t be here then.
Mr Morgan nods approvingly.
“I love that, let’s eat!”
We all begin to eat, halfway through, Britt stops and told me to have lunch with her later and I agreed.
I’ll use this opportunity to beg her to help me look after Dean and my baby when I’m gone.
