? Sophie ?
” Please forgive me Sophie” she said as tears rolled down her eyes.
I looked at her speechless.
What happened to her?
Why did she decided to apologise to me?
“Sophie am sorry” she said.
” Sophie” kaima called.
” Anna” I called.
She looked at me.
” What’s wrong? I asked.
” Did anything happen? I asked.
” No Sophie I have realized how have hurt you”
” Really?
” Yes Sophie am sorry”
I looked at her.
” Believe me Sophie I don’t know what came over me..it is true I have my eyes on Andrew but instead he chose you..I felt extremely bad and jealous” she said.
I just stared at her without saying anything.
” I like Andrew but he doesn’t like me, he doesn’t care about my existence..I have realized it is of no use fighting for who doesn’t belong to me” she said.
” Really? I arched my brow.
” Yes Sophie, am sorry”
” Oh okay, it’s okay..apology accepted” I said.
” Really?
” Yeah, have forgiven you” I said.
She beamed and hugged me.
” Uhnmm sorry” she said and broke the hug.
I nodded my head.
” Let’s go kaima” I said.
” Sophie” Anna called.
I looked at her.
” I really missed you as my friend, I want our friendship back” she said.
I smiled.
” Really?
” Yeah Sophie” she said.
” Please”
” Anna, I have forgiven you from my heart..but being your friend again? Am sorry I can’t” I said.
” Sophie please, ” she said.
” Anna…we will just act like classmates do but we can’t be as close as before” I said.
” Sophie”
“Anna”
” Hey you, take this you are invited for a party” kaima said bringing out a small card from her purse.
” A party? I asked.
” The party” she said.
Anna tool the invitation card looking at me.
” Make sure you are at the party, let’s go Sophie” kaima said holding my hand.
We turned walking away.
” Why did you invite her? I asked.
“I don’t want her to miss the party” she said.
I arched my brow.
” Yes Sophie”
” Bye Sophie see you later” she said walking away.
I smiled and walked into my class.

The bell rang.
” Finally” I muttered.
It’s closing.
I started packing my books into my bag.
I stood up walking out of the class.
” Hey kaima” I saw Kira walking up to me.
It’s been a while though.
” Hi” I said
” How are you? She asked.
” Am fine”
” Where are you going?
” Where to? Of course am going home” I said
” Oh okay, what about Sophie? She asked.
I looked at her strangely.
Why is she asking of her.
” Is something wrong? I asked.
” No kaima” she said with a smile.
I nodded my head.
” My regards to her, see you at the party” she said.
” Okay”
“Bye Kaima” she hugged me and left.
I watched her as she walked away.
” What’s wrong with her?
Why did she asked of Sophie?
I walked out of the class heading to Sophie class.
I saw her walking out.
” Am about coming to you” she said when she sighted me.
I smiled.
” Let’s go” I said.
” Kira asked of you” I said.
” Kira?
” Yeah Kira?
” Why?
” I don’t know” I shrugged.
” Okay” she nodded her brow.
We walked to my car.
My driver is waiting for me.
We got into the car and he drove off.
Sophie told me her address.
We got to her gate.
“Thank you kaima” she said.
I smiled
” Now go and get ready for the party, I will pick you up so we can go together” I said.
” Okay, see you later” she said coming out of the car.
” Bye” I waved at her as my driver drove off.

I walked into my room and dropped my bag.
I brought out my phone.
Should I call Andrew?
No.
Maybe I should just call him” I thought.
I dial his number but he is not picking up.
I called him severely but no response.
I sighed and dropped the phone on my bed.
” What is wrong with him?
I pulled off my uniform, went down and prepared what to eat.
I made some Noddles for myself.
I sat down and ate it.
I finished eating and cleared my plate.
I walked back into my room.
I need to get what to wear for the party.
I went to my closet.
I looked at me clothes.
I sighed confused.
Don’t even know what to wear.
I stare at it.
I decided to go with a blue short armless gown.
But not too short.
It’s stopped right on my knee.
I dropped the gown on the bed.
I freshened up.
I wore the gown.
It’s perfect but I don’t like the way it’s armless.
Should I pull it off? I thought.
Uhnmm..no.. Andrew is coming for the party..I think I look beautiful in this.
Let me just wear it for tonight.
Ever since mum bought it, have never put it on before.
My phone rang.
It’s kaima.
” Hey Sophie am waiting for you”
” Are you here already?
” Yes am outside”
” Oh okay come in, the gate is open” I said.
” Alright then”
She hung up.
I walked out of my room.
The door Bell rang.
It’s kaima.
” Wow Sophie” she exclaimed.
” You look beautiful kaima” I said staring at her.
She is putting up on red short gown.
For me it’s too short but it’s her choice.
But she is beautiful.
” Sophie, you are not ready yet?
” Yeah” I said.
” Why?
” Till getting ready” I said climbing the stairs.
She followed me.
We got into my room.
” Your house is beautiful”
” Thank kaima” I said.
” So tell me what’s keeping you? She asked.
” Nothing”
” Okay you know what? Come and sit down I need to get you ready myself”
I laughed.
” Get me ready yourself?
” Yeah, In such a way that Andrew wouldn’t want to let go off you” she said.
I laughed.
” Don’t blush now, just come and sit down” she said.
I sat down at the mirror.

I styled her hair for her.
Andrew already told me to get her ready.
Sophie is indeed a natural beauty.
” Now it’s time for Make up” I said.
The make over will add more to her beauty.

” Done” I said.
She opened at her eyes and gasped staring at herself in the mirror.
I smiled at her.
” Kaima, is this me? She asked looking at the mirror.
” Yes Sophie and you are beautiful” I said.
” Wow, I can’t believe this is me, I can’t believe this is Sophie” she said with a smile.
I laughed.
” Am sure Andrew won’t be able to take his eyes off you when he sees you” I said.
Her cheek flushed.
” Thank you kaima” she said.
” Okay now put on your shoe and let’s go” I said.
She put on a silver heel.
She took a shinning silver purse with her.
She is more beautiful than I am.
” Let’s go kaima”
” Am feeling jealous of you” I pout
She laughed.
” Kiama”
” You are lucky Sophie, I wish am just like you” I said.
” Let’s go kaima”
” Ohhh I see, someone is eager to see Andrew” I teased.
She laughed.
” Let’s go” I said as we walked out of her room.
We got into my car and the driver drove off.
We got to the venue for the party.
We got out of the car.
” Wow” Sophie exclaimed.
” This is nice”
Andrew is so rich that he organized such a big party for Sophie.
She is indeed lucky.
” Let’s go” I said..
We could hear the music playing.
I guess we are quite late.
We got in.
Students from our schools are there.
Yeah.
So many people are present there.
I was the one who invited them like Andrew instructed me.
I smiled at the decorations.
Andrew really tried.
Am sure he spent so much in organizing this party.
“Hi kaima”
” Hi Leena, good to see you” I said.
She smiled and walked away.
We saw Anna coming to us.
” Hi Sophie” she said and hugged her.
” Hey Anna”
” You are looking beautiful” she said.
” Thank you”
” Hi kaima”
” Hi, it’s nice to see you at the party” I said.
She smiled.
My phone rang.
I checked the caller..it’s Andrew.
” Please excuse me” I said and walked out to receive the call.
” Hey kaima, where are you?
” We are at the party” I said.
” Really??
” Yeah”
” Okay, just do as I say okay?
” Yes I will”
” Okay, thanks”
He hung up.
I walked inside.
” Hey Sophie, come with me” I said holding her hand.
” Where are we going ?
” To the stage” I said.
” What! Why?
” Just come with me”
I went to the D.J.
” Turn off the music” I said which he did.
Everyone begin to murmur.
” Why did you off the music?
” Hey?

? Sophie ?
Kaima took the mic and walked up the stage with me beside her
” Kaima what are you doing? I whispered.
She looked at me then smiled.
I looked at her confused.
” What is she doing?
” Hello everyone” she said.
They all kept quiet and looked at her
” Thank you all for coming, I want to say a big thank you to everyone who honour this invitation..thank you so much..am happy that you are here” she said.
” I want you all to enjoy yourselves” she said.
Suddenly the light went off.
I gasped.
Every where is so dark.
I can’t see anything.
” Kaima” I called.
Everyone started murmuring.
Suddenly the light came on but it’s only the stage light
The light is shining on me.
Everyone kept quiet staring at me.
I turned to look at Kaima but she is not there.
” Where is she?
” What is going on?
” Why is there light only on the stage?
” Where is kaima?
I thought confused.
Suddenly I heard someone singing.
?I could remember how we met ?
? I only wanted you to be my Friend ?
?I don’t even know when you stole my heart ?
? Everything about you is perfect ?
?I only want you to mine ?
Isn’t that Andrew voice?
But where is he? I thought looking around.
