CHAPTER 23

Melanie entered the restroom and almost immediately, she started hearing some ungodly sounds.

“Fk me harder, Ace”

“Yea, that’s it. Hit me hard!”

She needed no one to tell her that was Paisley’s voice.

She walked to the stall where she was hearing the moan. The door was slightly opened and she could see the scene perfectly.

Ace was fking Paisley in a doggy style.

Melanie gasped and rushed out of the restroom immediately, tears streaming down her cheeks.

Axel who was smoking while flirting with a girl saw her running with tears in her eyes.

“Are you listening at all?” The girl who was beside him asked.

He diverted his attention back to her.

“You’re back, what should we…” Julie was still saying when Melanie ran past them in tears.

“Is that tears? What happened?” Lauren asked. She exchanged glances with Julie and they both ran after her immediately.

“Fk, where did she go?” Lauren asked, panting heavily.

They already searched everywhere and Melanie was nowhere to be seen.

“We should let her be for now,” Julie said.

“I really hope she’s fine, I’m so worried,” Lauren muttered, still breathing heavily.

THE BRAUNS MANSION***

“Any news yet?” A woman immediately asked when a guy walked in.

“Yes, I found where he stays now,” the guy replied.

The woman breathed out in relief before facing her husband with a smile.

“At last. Ariel will be so happy to hear this” she muttered.

“We should see him tomorrow,” her Husband said.

“Yes, we should,” she agreed with a smile.

MELANIE’S APARTMENT, EVENING***

Axel entered the house and found Melanie sleeping on one of the couches.

She was curled like a baby, whilst hugging a pillow to herself.

He walked closer and at that time, he noticed some traces of tears in her eyes.

“Was she crying?” He wondered.

“That’s none of my business” he stood straight and was about to walk to his room when he suddenly stopped.

He sighed and walked back to her.

“Can’t believe I’m doing this right now,” he muttered.

He removed the pillow from her gently and carried her in his arms, heading to her room.

All through, his eyes were on her face. He wouldn’t deny that he found her attractive.

He took his gaze away and laid her on the bed gently. He covered her with the duvet and was about to walk away when she suddenly held his top.

He turned back to find her awake.

Melanie sat up and started crying hard.

“I saw them… He… He was fking her in the restroom,” she choked on her tears.

Axel sat on the bed gently and stared at the girl who was crying profusely beside him.

“Was that the reason why you were in tears earlier?” He asked softly.

Melanie raised her head and stared at him through her tearstained eyes.

“It hurts, they weren’t even remorseful. They…”

“Shhh,” he placed his hand on her lips gently.

“They don’t deserve your tears, okay? Just forget about them” he muttered, pulling her to a hug.

Melanie immediately wrapped her arms around him, crying on his chest.

Slowly, Axel started patting her hair while rubbing her back soothingly with his other hand.
