TWO DAYS LATER***

“Is this where you stay?” Kylie asked when they got to Melanie’s house.

“Yeah,” Melanie smiled.

“Cool. I guess I will check up on you someday,” he said.

“You don’t have to,” Melanie chuckled.

“I have to. I’m actually glad that you allowed me to bring you home, it shows I’m still a little bit more than a friend to you,”

“Kylie,”

“Can I hug you?” He interrupted.

“Hmm?”

Kylie moved closer to her and made an attempt to hug her when Melanie quickly moved away.

His eyes flashed with hurt and he quickly brushed it away.

“I’m sorry,” Melanie mumbled.

“It’s fine. We’ll see tomorrow at school” Kylie said. He waved and then left.

Melanie heaved a sigh and walked to the gate, her phone beeped and she wasn’t surprised when it was a message from Ace.

He has been bugging her with messages that she suddenly wished to block his number.

Strangely, she doesn’t feel a thing for him anymore, not even a single feeling.

? I’M STILL HOPING TO GAIN YOUR FORGIVENESS, MELANIE. BECAUSE I’M NEVER LETTING YOU GO FOR THE SECOND TIME” The message reads.

She rolled her eyes and opened the gate, she entered the house.

She was inching closer to the entrance when she heard some voices yelling.

“Who’s that?” She wondered and opened the door.

She entered just in time to see Mr. Braun throwing a heavy punch on Axel’s face.

Melanie gasped.

“Hit me all you want but I’m never getting married to Ariel! I’d rather die than to do that!” Axel yelled.

“Really? Then do all you wish, I won’t even care about you anymore. Don’t ever show up in my house because you’re not my son anymore. My own son wouldn’t go against my word!” Mr. Braun yelled.

“Fine. I’ve always wanted that anyway, I don’t even care about what you say, I’m never getting married to that wench that’s final!” Axel fired.

Another blow landed on his face again, his lips bled instantly.

“You scumbag. Don’t ever show up in front of me again!” Mr. Braun shouted.

He turned and walked past Melanie in anger, not glancing at her for a single moment.

Axel was surprised when he saw Melanie, he turned and left immediately.

“Did his father just hit him?” Melanie bit her lips slowly.

“Then…” She bit her lips when the realization hit her.

“Is he okay?” She couldn’t help but to worry.
