CHAPTER 70

Melanie, Julie and Lauren were chatting as they made their way out of the school.

A car suddenly drove past them and winded down the glass, revealing Axel. He was putting on a face cap and his blue eyes shone enchantingly.

“Going home already?” He asked, his gaze on Melanie.

“Huh?” Julie glanced at Melanie.

“Yes” Melanie mumbled.

“Get in. I’ll give you a ride” Axel said.

Melanie declined immediately.

“No, it’s fine. I’ll go with my friends” she said.

“Oh… Alright then” the car drove away.

“What’s going on? Are you guys friends already?” Julie asked.

“Erm… Yea. Just recently though” Melanie bit her lips and started walking away.

Julie stood there, her hand curling up in a fist. Lauren stared at her for a while before going after Melanie.

ONE HOUR LATER***

Melanie had almost gotten home when she saw Ace opposite her. She rolled her eyes and tried to enter the gate but Ace quickly rushed to her, holding her by the arm.

She jerked her arm away from him and threw an angry stare at him.

“What do you want from me?” She questioned.

“I’m sorry. I know you’re mad at me but when I say I’m sorry, I mean it truly” Ace said.

“Sorry, you say? Do you know why I find it hard to forgive you? Because after the day I caught you cheating on me, you still went ahead and continued. You weren’t even remorseful, we broke up yet you still had the gut to f**k her??”

“If I hadn’t possibly moved on then you wouldn’t be here begging for my forgiveness.

It’s too late, Ace. I’ll never get back to a guy that doesn’t have a respect for me” Melanie spat angrily.

Ace removed his hand and it slipped to his side slowly.

She was right. She doesn’t deserve his forgiveness at all, he deserves every single attitude she was giving up, even more!

“I gave you my virginity, Ace. That was because I loved you, I trusted you, Ace.

I loved you with everything in me but you broke me, you broke me without repair. You never cared about me, you even went ahead and fked my best friend!”

“I can never make the mistake of going back to you, Ace. Never! You misused your chance already, Ace” she shook her head and entered the house.

Ace punched the air angrily, his eyes so red right now.

Truth be told, he never loved her at first. His goal was to play her but in the process, he found himself swimming in the ocean of love.

MELANIE’S APARTMENT***

Axel stood under the shower for a very long time, he was still dressed and his clothes were soaked badly.

He couldn’t get his mind off her, the scene at the kitchen kept replaying on his head and all he wanted at that moment was to see her.

“I’m going insane,” he whispered, letting the shower to drown him.

After a while, he stripped himself and wrapped a towel around his waist before leaving the bathroom.

He was still putting on his short when he heard the sound of the door opening, signifying Melanie had just returned.

He quickly rushed out of the room to see her just in time getting to her door which was opposite his.

Their eyes met and they stared at each other for a long while, none of them breaking the eye contact.

Melanie’s eyes went to his chest and it widened when she saw his abs, his biceps which was enough to drive a girl crazy.

His chest was broad and there were visible droplets of water in it, signifying he just had his bath.

She swallowed hard as she already imagined herself running her fingers on it, while kssing him madly.

“Do I look that hot?” His voice broke her out of her reverie.

She looked away and bit her lips in embarrassment. She couldn’t believe she was beginning to have some dirty thought just by staring at his chest.

“Tch! Keep dreaming!” She rolled her eyes and turned to leave.

Axel stretched his hand and dragged her to him, her chest slammed hard on his own and Melanie’s eyes almost popped out of its socket.

Her eyes was still wide in shock, his hand were resting above her a*s, and her hands were on his chest she was dying to touch right now.

Axel’s hand moved to her back and started soothing it slowly.

“You look pissed, are you okay?” He asked softly. His eyes were peering into hers.
