“Dear” Stella said , smiling wider ..
Melanie and Robin came to view too and Stella’s smile grew bigger
“My baby!” she gushed, smiling at Robin
“Stella?” Robin said shockingly
Melanie held Philip’s arm tight, staring at the return of the runaway wife
“Son, it’s a good thing you remember your mother, come here and give mum a hug” Stella widened her arms
Robin threw the fork with him at her and it hit Stella on the forehead
“I hate you!, Leave this place and never come back!, You’re not my mother!, Melanie is my mother so leave!’ he yelled, holding Melanie’s second hand
“Robinson, I’m your mother, I know how much I suffered in the labour room because of you, you can’t be like this” Stella said slowly, wanting to come in

” I’m thankful that it’s him who rejected you first, now my own rejection” Philip said calmly
” No dear I can explain, Philip I got kidnapped by a group of robbers and…
“Kidnapped for seven years huh?, Yes I don’t know where you went but I saw the CCTV footage of the day you left the house, how you got in a car with one ba$tard in front of this house I saw it all so stop trying to feed me with lies cos it’s the food I hate most!” Philip spat
Stella stood dumbfounded, not knowing where to start from again
“Philip you know what?, I…I, I’m…
” How pathetic, wait here I should make this fast” he said and went inside the house
Melanie kept staring at her, a look at Stella, Melanie sensed she’s a desperate woman with a glint of greediness in her eyes, maybe she’s not who Philip thinks she was when he got married to her
“So you’re the freak!, You’re the whore who took him away!” Stella ranted
” He belongs to no one when I met him, so chill and stop wasting your energy” Melanie replied with a calm smile, surprisingly she found herself relaxing even in front of this desperate woman
Philip came back and threw the annulling papers at her
“I signed it already so it’s left for you to sign it or you might decide not to do it, now you need to leave!” He said
” I hate you and I’ll forever do!” Robin shouted and Philip shut the door, breathing loudly..
Melanie hugged him tight, patting his back with it
“It’s ok, it’s ok love” she kept repeating the soothing words, Robin watched with mixed feelings
“Now the devil is back, I must do anything possible to protect my parents” he thought….
Philip broke the hug and came to him, he squat in front of him and hugged him too
“Love you Daddy” he said
“Much love son” Philip replied
*Time to be careful” Melanie thought
” Time to protect my family with all I have” Philip thought…

“What!” Carolyn exclaimed over the phone at the news of Stella’s return
“Yes, she’s back and for the fact that she tried to lie to me, telling me she was kidnapped, it means she has a mission, that’s why she came back” he replied
” Shit!, Why will that monkey come back?, How’s Melanie and Robin doing?”
“They’re both cool, but I think it’s time to be a man and do what I must do for my family, Stella must not hurt them” he replied
” Sure, I’m coming over right now” Carolyn said
“ok mum”
She hung up and sighed heavily
“Real deal” she said

“What the heck!” Leo stated in shock at the news, he’s at Philip’s house
” Yeah, she came here some minutes ago, at a time we we’rent expecting at all” Philip replied
” That’s just…. terrific” Leo replied
Robin is already sleeping, sitting on Melanie’s laps
” He hates her, no need to worry” Philip said
“What to do?” Leo asked
” Nothing, we just have to be extra careful, I threw the annulling papers at her face already, she shouldn’t just try to make any moves” Philip replied
” Why don’t you hire guards to follow Melanie around too?”
” I’ve been thinking of that, I’ll do just that” he replied
Carolyn entered in a rush
“The monkey is really back?” She said, still standing
” Yes, she’s really really back, looking as desperate as ever, and despite the fact that she tried to look innocent, a sharp look at her will tell you she’s up to something and she has bad intentions” Melanie replied
” Calm down everyone, this means nothing cos we already promised not to get scared right?”
” Thanks mum” Philip replied, holding Melanie’s hand..

“holy moly” Valerie said when Susan broke the news to her
She has been sad since yesterday and now another sad news
“Yeah she’s back, but it means nothing, just let’s hope for the best” Susan said
” Melanie is strong, I trust she’ll face it head on” Valerie replied
” Sure,… and you, I know you’re not crying cos I’m beside you, stop thinking too much about your prince charming, just hope for the best too” Susan said, holding her hands
” I’m trying to do that mum” she replied sadly
“Valerie”
” Yes mum”
“make sure to bath with warm water everyday, you can’t use cold water, you know you’ll catch a cold, be strong like your sis and I hope this Dwayne of a guy is your true love, and I hope you both live together happily ever after” Susan said
Valerie looked at her confusedly
” Why are you suddenly saying all these?” She asked
“I dunno too, but just be careful” Susan replied and hugged her..

” Shit!, Like trash!, It failed!” Stella ranted on getting back home
“How did it happen?, I thought you said he loves you so much that you even almost fell for him during the fake marriage?” Rico asked
” Yes he does, but things has changed, I was expecting him to embrace me and be happy to have me back immediately I stepped in but..it was the opposite, he threw annulment papers at my face and hurled insulting words at me, he saw the CCTV footage of how you came to pick me up at home that day, then my own son, the son I almost aborted if not for circumstances beyond my control, he said he hates me and went ahead to tell me I’m not his mum, he told me that wench in his mum” Stella explained , folding her fist
” S-lady, calm down, so that means we won’t have the chance to siphon his money again, it’s even better we got to know early, let’s move to plan B” Rico said
” Yes, I’ll get the only thing I have with him, I’ll train my son to be like me his smart mother, I’ll take Robinson and get the hell out of Paris after killing Philip and his bch” she said and sat
” So what’s the plan?” Rico asked, standing up
“Chill” Stella replied as Rico bent over to her
“Let’s do it” he whispered
“You almost destroyed my insides last night” Stella replied, unbuttoning her Jacket
” Come on it doesn’t kill” he replied, taking off her Jacket
“Your member can kill” she held her skirt
“Ok, quickie” Rico replied, raising up her leg

Dwayne kept crying in the room he was locked at, no hope at all, no hope of escape too
If he agrees to get engaged with Whitney, that’s the only way he can come out and how’s that even possible when he loves Val more than himself?
His eyes feels as if there are bags of fire in there, it burns as a result of too much crying
His lips is dried and has bruises naturally cos it’s too hot in there, no ventilation at all and he doesn’t even have the strength to stand and put on the air conditioner
“Val” is what he has been calling up to hundred times
Then the door swung open, at first no one came to view but one of the guards later came in,..
“Felix” Dwayne said slowly, he’s the only guard he has ever talked to, and that’s because he has been there even before his mother’s death
He came closer in tip toes and put his pointer finger between his lips for Dwayne to shut up
“I had to sedate the other guards so I can be able to come in, you’ve always been good to me when you were still here so I have no reason to sit and watch you suffer” he said and brought something out of his pocket
It’s his passport
“I actually saw this in the wallet that was taken from you and I’ve already booked you a flight, here’s your seat number and other things you need, just go anywhere Dwayne, with Linda and Darien here, I can’t guarantee your safety cos your dad is still getting manipulated” Felix said
” Felix..
“You don’t have to talk, your flight is seven am tomorrow morning, you have to come with me now, I’ll take you to somewhere you’ll spend the night at”
” Felix your life will be in danger”
“Nope, I don’t plan coming back here either”
” Then let’s go together, huh?, Please go with me” he replied.
“That’s what I plan doing, let’s go” Felix replied with a short smile
Felix held his hand and they both tiptoed out of the house, they got out and ran all the way to the nearest juncture where a car that was arranged by Felix is already waiting
They got in and after a long drive, they got to a building, they stepped out of the car and went inside the small house
“Now you need to eat, take your bath and have a good night rest till tomorrow morning” Felix said
Dwayne hugged him tight
” I’m too thankful for what you did but…..I can’t have a good night sleep” he replied
” What why?”
” There’s someone I must see if I want to be ok” he replied
” The same Valerie?” Felix said
“Sure, what street are we in?”
“Zuma’s close”
“She lives in Allen avenue”
” That’s too too far from here I can’t allow you to move an inch Dwayne, how we got here safely is luck, something might happen to you and I can’t allow that, please” Felix said
” But I really need to go see her please, I have something important to tell her” he replied and made to go out but Felix blocked his way
” No Dwayne, it’s too dangerous out there”
“But I’m not ok at all Felix, please let me go!” He yelled
” So if you lose your life on the way, will you have opportunity to see her again?”
” Huh?’
“Yes, that’s the point, rest now, and maybe you both will meet again in the future, Dwayne please” Felix said
Dwayne sat on the floor and started crying again, even while taking a shower, he’s crying and he still refused to eat
He didn’t sleep a wink throughout the night , he just wrote a letter…
Next morning**
They both dressed up as early as possible and drove to the airport, he cried again throughout the fourthy minutes drive
“Is there a post office around here?” He asked immediately they got out from the car
“Sure, over there” Felix replied, pointing his pointer finger
Dwayne went to the building and posted the letter after paying
He left the place and their flight was announced, he climbed the plane and at the entrance, he looked back, hiding his tears
“I hope we meet again under the snowflakes…I love you Val” he said and finally let his tears fall
Felix pulled him into the plane and they took their seats, it was Felix who fastened his seatbelt for him cos he has no strength to do that
Then the plane took off.

“A package from the post office?” Valerie said to the man standing in front of her
” Yeah, you have to sign this” the man replied and she did before the man left
She went in with the letter and when she saw the name on the envelope, she opened it quickly
Susan joined her in the living room as she read the letter hastily

“This might look sudden and you might not be expecting it but I’m sorry in advance for this shock I’m about to give.
I can’t continue to let my life be lived for me, I might die if it continues, dad is trying to force me to get engaged to Whitney and NO, not even in another lifetime
I’m out of the country though I can’t even say where I’m headed to, but I hope we meet again under the snowflakes, I really wish
And to answer the question you asked the other time Val, I LOVE YOU more than I love myself…yeah I can say that again and again
I LOVE YOU, you’re my life I swear, but getting separated from my life due to unfortunate circumstances is the worse thing that has ever happened to me, I know I won’t be able to live well wherever I’m going
No one to ask whether I’ve eaten or tell me to stop eating bread, no one to make my lips swell and make me happy…yeah, I’m going for a boring life and I hope you can live without me.

Valerie felt a knot on her airbag after reading the letter, it’s already soaked with her tears
“No, no it can’t be, he can’t leave after telling me he loves me he can’t!!!” She screamed and rushed out of the house
” Valerie!” Susan shouted after her but she won’t budge
“International airport, fast!” She told the cab she stopped
She got in and the fast drive Started
” Please… please no!” She kept shouting during the drive
They got there after close to twenty minutes drive and she got down from the cab, she rushed to the stands with tears in her eyes
“Please where’s Dwayne?” She kept asking everyone she met
“Where’s Dwayne please!” She yelled, scattering her hair
Everyone stared at her as if she’s mad
“I really need to see Grumpy Bear please let me see Dwayne!
Susan came out of the car that brought her and rushed to her
She held her tightly
“Valerie Please…
” No I just want to see him” she cried
“Dwayne Macaulay?” An attendant asked
Valerie nodded

The remaining air in Valerie’s lungs got filtered out and blown off
Her eyes went shut immediately and she went limp on Susan’s arm
