“He’s fine, but he escaped death narrowly” the doctor finally talked, smiling widely
” You scared me” Carolyn said, holding her chest
“” And we’re sorry such a thing happened here, now I know how much you love your family, Mrs Albert… Mr Albert almost destroyed everywhere when he couldn’t find you and Robin” the doctor said
Philip said calmly, ” now it seems everything will come back to normal’ he thought
Melanie felt like puking again and rushed to the restroom, Philip rushed after her and rubbed her back gently as she puked
“Sweetheart are you ok?” He asked as he held a handful of her hair
“I need to go for test, though I think I know what it is but we still need verification” she replied as he helped her stand
He guided her out and handed her over to the doctors for test, he waited patiently outside the lab for her to come out and some minutes later, she did
“How was it?” He asked
She handed a paper to him with smiles on her face
“That’s the test result” she said, still smiling
He took it and slowly opened it
“OMG you’re a month and a half pregnant!”
“You’re becoming a father” she gushed
Philip quickly bent in front of her and kssed her stomach uncountably though it’s not protruding yet but the joy that their baby is in there is immeasurable
“Melanie I love you so much!”
“Same here baby, love you like no one” she replied
“I just heard the right thing right?” Carolyn said, coming closer
“Yes ma’am, I’m pregnant” Melanie replied
Carolyn jumped for joy and Sally joined In the jubilation, finally some good news to be happy about…

Valerie slept off Immediately she entered the car earlier and she woke up to find herself in a building, tied up like a captive
“Why am I here?, Where’s this place?” She wondered aloud
“I took you here to get down with you” Darien’s voice said, coming from a corner
” Darien?”
“Yeah it’s me, I set the driver who drove you, I was the one who told him to stay there till when you’ll come out” he replied, grabbing her hair
” Let me go!!” She cried
“Mum always told me to get what I want by any means I know, and that’s exactly what I’m doing” he said, pushing her to the ground
” You can’t do this to me!” Valerie cried, trying to free herself
” Well no one says that” he replied and just as his hands touched her skirt, the door got broken and Lillian led in the cops
“Lillian!” Valerie shouted
Lillian rushed to her while the cops got Darien who obviously has nothing to say but shock is obvious on his face
For someone who wasn’t expecting the cops to show up
“Bastard!” Lillian spat and hit his head as he was led out of the place
“Thanks baby, I thought I was gonna lose it to him, I love you and a friend like you is so rare” Valerie said when they got out of the building, actually one of Darien’s mum’s building
“It’s ok dear, I love you more” Lillian replied , hugging her…

Mr Fido Macaulay’s mansion**
“I wonder why Darien hasn’t called” Linda wondered loudly, settling beside Fido on the couch in the living room
“He’s a stubborn jerk, he might just be anywhere” Fido replied
” Boss the cops are here” one of the guards said, coming in
“Cops?” Linda said, leading the way out
“Mr Linda Macaulay, you’re under arrest for your support in your son’s crime, your son Darien Macaulay tried to rape a teenager like him and he’s already in our custody” one of the cops said
” What!, My son?, And why will I be arrested?, I never told him to go rape anyone”
“You’ll find it out yourself when you get to the station, handcuff her” the leader of the squad said
Linda was handcuffed, not minding Fido’s pleads, she was taken away…

Maybe Rico’s body got rotten in the warehouse or was disposed, no one knows, all that is to be known is that he died a gruesome death
Stella needs no trial since she admitted to everything and the evidences are glaring, she was moved to jail on a wheelchair after biting fingers of regrets
Darien was charged to court and of course, Valerie won with Lillian as witness, he was sent to a year in prison and to teach Linda an unforgettable lesson, she was given three months..
So the book is just a book, the book is just a world on its own, just the resemblance of their beginning, not anywhere near their end cos it’s glaring that an happy ending is meant for them
Four days later**
“None of them is waking up” Melanie said beside Robin, holding his hands on the bed
Sally and Carolyn are with Leo
“We don’t have to worry, they’ll wake up according to the doctors, they will” Philip said, patting her back
Carolyn suddenly rushed into the ward happily
“Leo is awake!” She broke the happy news
“OMG!!” Melanie screamed
” I told you” Philip said and just as they’re about to go out with Carolyn to meet Leo…
“Mummy” Robin’s voice came, they had to rush back to him and he’s surprisingly awake
“My boy!!” Philip screamed
“My baby” Melanie said, stroking his hair gently, tears of joy fell from her eyes
“My precious” Carolyn said happily too
*Mum I love you so much” he said, trying to sit up
” I love you more dear, stay as you are, it’s not advisable to sit up baby” Melanie said
He smiled sadly
” I don’t want that, all enemies are gone so smile happily, Stella is gone including her accomplice” Philip said
” Really dad?”
*Sure dear” he replied and that’s when Robin smiled sincerely
“I’m sorry for keeping it from you guys, I promise not to do it again, I was just thinking that I don’t want to stress you guys, not knowing I was wrong” he said guiltily
” It’s ok now, just don’t do it again, don’t ever keep a secret anymore” Carolyn said and he nodded, holding Melanie’s hand to his chest
” It’s ok now” he said
“Now I’m seeing my mum in you” Melanie said
“How?, By the way where’s she?” He asked
” Her heart was transplanted into you, you now have her heart, she passed away” Philip said
” Is it because of me?” Robin asked at the brim of tears
” No dear, not because of you, it’s just destined to be like that so don’t cry, and a big news for you…I’m carrying your baby sister” she said
” mum!” He exclaimed and immediately got the strength to sit up slowly
“Mum you’re not kidding right?” He said expectantly
” I’m not, I’m for real, your little sis is living in my tummy” she replied and he hugged her immediately
” I love you so much, and I’ll take care of grandma’s heart very much” he said, closing his eyes on her chest
Philip looked at Carolyn and smiled…

“I thought I was gonna lose you ” Sally said in Leo’s arms
“Thanks for coming back to me Leo, thanks very much” she continued
” Thanks for being the first person I saw when I woke up” he replied, smiling widely as they broke the hug
” And now I know how much I love you” she said
“For real?”
” Yes Leo, I love you so much” she replied, smiling
” Oh go$h, I can’t ask for more” he replied and hugged her tightly…
Philip and Melanie came back to the ward and it was just one Happy galore
“Thanks for saving my life Leo, a friend like you is rare and I’ll forever idolize you” Philip said
” That’s what friends do , I love you ma bro” Leo replied radiantly and they hugged tightly
Sally hugged Melanie and Carolyn just kept smiling
Peace at last
Now that everything bounced back to normal, maybe there won’t be space for sorrows anymore..
Two weeks later**
“Mum you’ll forever be great in our hearts, you’re rare and the best mum one could ever get, I love you ” Melanie said, placing her flowers on Susan’s grave with a smile on her face
“You died to live again… I’ll never forget you mother” Valerie said and dropped her flowers too
” Though I didn’t wake up to meet you, I’m glad I met my pretty daughters, I always see you in them, and this little Robin here has become part of me too, your heart is still with us” Zayn said and dropped his flowers too
“Thanks for being the mother of my sweetheart and the heartbeat of my boy” Philip said after dropping his flowers too
Sally, Lillian, Leo and Carolyn said their speeches too and by the time they’re done, there’s barely any space for flowers again cos the grave has been bedecked with flowers from them..
She’ll indeed have a peaceful rest

Two months later**
“I heard Mr Fido is in the hospital” Lillian said, walking with Valerie in the hallway
It’s their final exams week… Whitney transferred since Darien got arrested
“Ion care, he called it upon himself for treating Dwayne like that” Valerie replied
” Talking of Dwayne, don’t you miss him?” Lillian said
” Why ask such a question when you already know the answer, Lilian I miss him like crazy!, I still can’t get my mind off him” she replied sadly, staring at her bracelet again…
“I’m sorry, I just hope you both will meet again” Lillian replied, hugging her…

” You should go to work you know” Melanie said after breaking the morning kss with Philip
Her pregnancy is protruding and her belly is now bulging but she still looks cute
And since the pregnancy, Philip has refused to go to work
“Sally got it all covered, you don’t have to worry” he said, guiding her downstairs, he made her seat on the couch
Little adult is off to school
“So now, what should I make?”
“Simple guacamoles” she replied
” I’ll make it fast, I love you!” He said, kssing her lips before slipping into the kitchen to make her meal
In a jiffy it’s ready, he served the meal and helped her to the dinning table too
She sat and he took a fork
“Ha” he said
She smiled before opening up and he gently shove the fork into her mouth
“How was it?” He asked slowly as she chewed on it
She gave thumbs up with a smile
“The best” she said
He wiped her lips with his lips before going to get some water from the freezer
She smiled happily
A good home is the synonyms of a happy life story

At a restaurant**
“Easy” Leo said as Sally ate impatiently
“I’m starving” she replied
“Glutton” he joked
” Don’t call me that” she rolled eyes and continued eating
” Well I love you like that, even if you can eat two bowls of spaghetti without blinking, I’ll still love you.. it’s unconditional” he said
She blushed heavily and continued eating
He sighted some guys staring at Sally from the other end of the restaurant
He got uncomfortable and stood
He went to her and held her up
“I’m sorry but bear with me, I have to teach some chaps a lesson” he said and kssed her deeply right there, not minding the presence of others
The staring guys looked away immediately
But they were cheered on when people started clapping and gushing at their cuteness
It was a surprise, but Sally is a big fan of surprises, and this, is a sweet surprise

Angelina kiddies school**
“Michelle let’s go somewhere” Robin said during lunch break
” Where?, You won’t even let our lunch digest? ” She replied
” It’ll digest there” he pouted, taking her hand
She followed him to the field and he stared into space for a while
“Why are we here?” Michelle asked
“To tell you something” he replied
” What? ”
” Mum and dad says you can only be free to say it when you’re grown up but, I’m a grown up anyways… And even if they don’t see me as one, I see myself as one and that’s why I wanna say…. ”
” What? ”
” I like you…. No it’s love, I love you” he said, avoiding her eyes
Michelle’s cheeks burned red with natural blush
“Wha… What was that?” She stuttered
“That was.. my confession, yeah my confession… And you know what? ” He said
She looked up slowly
” What?”
“I’ll marry you when we grow up, I promise” he said and took her with surprise by kssing her lips lightly before rushing off
Michelle touched her lips and smiled
“He kssed me”
