This is the secret of idetifying the right prospects.

Let me try to explain the above as simple as possible. Imagine if your WhatsApp funnel is filled with secondary school students who are still depending on their parents to cater for them. Can they buy your current product?

It’s obvious they are the wrong audience to your product and shouldn’t be in your funnel.

So this brings up the question! WHO ARE YOUR QUALIFIED LEADS?

Firstly let me define a qualified lead.

A qualified lead is a qualified person who is likely to buy what you’re selling.

They posses the characteristics of a problem that your product is likely to solve.

Ofcourse you can’t be pitching a weight loss products to someone who is dying of cancer.
Such person is not a qualified lead.

So here comes the question; HOW DO I TARGET QUALITY LEADS?

Like I said earlier quality leads are people who are likely to buy your product, but then how do you identify them and where can you find them?

“One methodology we use to identify how and where to find your best client online is the DPT profile”

DPT= Demographics Psychographic Technographics

These 3 are combined together to form your Customer Avatar.

Let me explain these three things to you.

Now when I talk about Demographics, it simply refers to the physical observable characters of your ideal prospect such as;
• Age
• Gender
• Educational level
• Job title
• Career
• Income rate e.t.c

Do you remember I mentioned secondary school students?

I only used it to define demographics.

Now when I talk about Psychographic, it simply refers to the inner or motivational traits of your ideal prospect such as
• Desire
• Sense of humor
• Honesty
• Fear etc.

These are the Psychographic factor for your ideal prospect

While Tecnographic refers to the likelihood that your prospect will be involved in the social media space.

I know you’re thinking how does this things match with identification of your targeted audience?

Well the truth is there’s no stamp placed on peoples forehead to make you identify them as the ideal prospect for your product or not.

But what you can use to identify them is your customer avatar which consist of the DPT profile.

But how do you apply this DPT profile in your customer avatar?

Now close one eye (as if you’re trying to make a perfect target of something) and look at that product you’re selling and ask yourself these questions;

1. What did they want as a result of using my product?

The answer to this question is the Psychographic factor (desire)

2. What age and gender are most likely to use my product?

Is it the females Or the males?

How old are the people who are likely to use my product?

Old people, Teenagers, little children?

The answer to these questions is the demographic factor (age and gender)

3. What will they suffer if they don’t get the solution to their problems?

The answer to this question is the Psychographic factor (fears)

4. What category of people are likely to get your product?

Footballers ?
Boxers ?
Jobless people ?
Working class people ?
Secondary students ?
The rich elites ?
The poor Masses ?

The answer to this question is the demographic factor (income rate/job title)

5. Where can they be found?

Are they mostly on tik-tok ?
Are they online or offline ?
Are they on a niche related Facebook group?

Or they mostly gather together at a football viewing center?

Or they can be found at the night clubs?

The answer to these questions is the Technographics factor.

The list goes on and on, relating to your product.

You get the point?

That’s how you can identify who really needs your product.

It works, you just need to draft out your customer avatar so you can identify who is qualified for your product.

It works for any kind of product in the Market place, most especially products that are in high demand.

Now that you’ve learnt how to identify your ideal prospect, it’s time for you to start selling to the right audience and avoid selling to secondary school students.
