CHAPTER 16
“Must you go out this night? You can buy the milk when you are coming back from school’ Mrs Hudson, Tamara’s mother said to her daughter who was wearing her jacket
“No Mom,you know I can’t sleep without drinking milk and it’s the same as tonight” Tamara replied as she was done wearing her jacket
“But it’s late already” she said in concern
“No Mom it’s just eight pm and the store is not far to our house” don’t worry will be back soon” Tamara rush out of the house before her mother could say anything again
“Sister I want chocolate as well and Mom said you should come back soon!! Tamara heard her younger brother’s voice from inside
“Too loud” she muttered with a smile as she walk out of their compound
She took the shortest way to the convenience store and in few minutes she was done with her shopping
“Thank you” she said to the cashier as she collected her credit card
She picked the shopping bag and left the store
She took the same route back to her house
Just as got to route to her street ,her phone started ringing
She took out her phone from the small purse she was holding
On seeing the caller was Xavier, Tamara cheek turns red
Remembering the kss at school,she blushed hard
“Why is he calling me” she muttered and was about to answer the call when she felt a presence
She turns back to confirm and truly there were people behind her each of them holding a big iron pipe each
She became frightened as she felt the klling intent radiating from them
“Who are you?? She stuttered looking around to call for help but she couldn’t find anyone
it was then she noticed that she was at the secluded spot in her street and it’s rare for people to pass the spot
“How are you student Tamara? She heard a female voice at her back which made her turn
It was a girl dressed in black with a mask covering her face
“You are??
“Someone who hated you the most” the female voice replied and grab Tamara’s neck
The nylon she was holding fell from her hand due to the force the lady used
“Let me go” Tamara said breathlessly as she struggles to remove her grip from her neck
Tamara could feel her breathe losing slowly, she tried to scratch the lady with her hand but mistakenly she pull out the lady’s mask revealing her face
“You” Tamara muttered in shock not believing her eyes as she saw who it was
“Yes me” surprised? The girl asked with a mischievous smile
“What are you trying to do! Let me go right now! Tamara seethed her teeth angrily
“Why should I let you go? If I should free you now,all my hard work will be in vain”
“What is going with you? You are not like this” Tamara said in confusion but fearfully
“Am always like this, it’s just that I don’t show it out” she replied and Tamara was speeches
“Why are you even doing this? I don’t remember offending you at all”
“Don’t say you didn’t offend me!! She snapped loudly
“You offended me a lot! Taking Xavier away from me is your biggest offense!! She added and throw Tamara to the ground
“Ouch! Tamara winced loudly in pains before looking up at the girl
“Why are you doing this? It’s not like am dating Xavier” Tamara said angrily
“Yes you may not date him now but you will definitely do in the future considering the fact you both had feelings for each other! She chuckled deviously scaring Tamara to the wit
“Bchy You even allow him to kiss you with the lips am dying to taste! You really do have d.eath wish!!! She added furiously
“If I should let you live then it will be the biggest mistake I will ever make so am sorry”she said and signalled to her men
“Don’t do this,I promise to dist_
Tamara couldn’t finish her words when the iron pipe was h!t on her head
Tamara felt dizzy immediately and she could see blood rushing out of her head as it fell on her clothes
She was still trying so hard not to lose consciousness when she was hit on the head the second time
Tamara knew she could never survive with the second hit
Her mind drifted back to her mother and her brother who were waiting for her at home
If only she had listened to her mother
“Am sorry Mom for disobeying you,I should have listened to you” “Am sorry for not keeping my promise to take care of you when I grow up.
Am sorry I couldn’t live more longer to take care of you, forgive this unfilial daughter of yours” she thought with her last breathe before she was hit again on head and finally kick the bucket
