Chapter 98

They all turned back to their food, but Haris and James seemed to know what was going on.

They looked at each other and burst into laughter, making everyone turn to look at them.

She sI.apped his hand off, but he put it back on his thighs, making her sigh.

“Martin, stop,” she whispered, but he just continued eating.

His hand moved to her back, trying to touch her, and she took a glass of water, pouring it on him.

“What is going on?” Mrs. Parker said.

“Oh, it is nothing,” Evelyn replied, putting on her best smile, as did Martin.

She glared at him and continued eating without minding him.

A mischievous smile appeared on Martin’s lips as he stood up from the chair.

He turned Evelyn’s chair around and carried her in a bridal style, causing everyone to gasp in surprise.

“We’ll be back, guys. Enjoy your meal,” Martin said as he walked upstairs, leaving everyone staring at them with open mouths.

“Let me go, Martin!” she yelled.

“Hey, are they going to… you know?” James said, but Noah hit him on the head.

“Shut up,” he said, and James scoffed.

Martin pushed the door open and gently placed Evelyn on the bed.

“What was that for?” Evelyn asked, breathing heavily.

“You poured water on me, so clean it off,” he said, pulling his shirt off to reveal his broad chest.

Evelyn gulped nervously as her eyes met his attractive physique.

“You… you were the one who made me do it, so… so clean yourself up, maybe take a shower,” she hissed, attempting to walk away, but Martin pulled her back.

“Okay, I’ll take a shower, but I want you to join me,” he said, and Evelyn scoffed.

She remembered what had happened in the morning, and her heart raced.

Without a second thought, she ran out of the room, with Martin following suit.

“Haris!” Evelyn yelled as she rushed downstairs, causing everyone to stand up in panic. She sought refuge behind his back.

“What’s wrong, bestie?” Haris asked, sounding worried, and almost immediately, Martin appeared downstairs.

He ran towards Evelyn, trying to catch her, but she sprinted towards the sitting room.

James scoffed as he watched them.

“Is this some kind of catch me if you can game now… I regret not having any serious relationships,” he sighed before sitting down.

“I don’t want to bathe with you!” Evelyn yelled.

“Wow, I’m jealous of this couple,” Charlotte said, smiling, and Cole chuckled.

“When will I have my own ro.mantic man?” Elizabeth wondered aloud, and Haris scoffed.

“I’m right here, and you’re praying for a man,” he muttered, while Noah just scoffed.

“Why does it feel like everyone here has a secret love story except me?” James scratched the back of his head, puzzled.

“Finally,” Liam exclaimed as they rushed upstairs.

“Don’t you do this with your girlfriend?” James whispered in Liam’s ear mockingly, and Liam scoffed.

“This is childish. We don’t engage in such childish behavior,” Liam replied, and James chuckled.

“When a couple isn’t childish like this, the relationship becomes boring,” James commented, earning an angry glare from Liam.

(MEETING ROOM)

The board members sat down, along with Martin, and Evelyn stood behind him.

“Let the presentation begin,” Martin announced.

The young boy sighed before turning on the TV with a remote.

“Hmm, so the name of this computer is Brighter Grammar.”

“Brighter Grammar is a computer that helps correct people who make mistakes in grammar.
