I woke up and took a cold shower. When I remembered what happened between Drake and Valerie .

I screamed and hit my fist against the wall in annoyance . This is all because of Harris, if she didn’t get bullied by Harris that wouldn’t happen.

I nursed my bruised hand and wrapped it with a plaster. I took a black hoodie , black jean trousers and white shoes . I took a black bag and stepped out.

“Where are you off to this morning? Mom said coming from the kitchen. She wheeled her chair towards the living room herself.

“His babe’s house”. Ivy giggled walking towards us.

“Shut up fur brain”. I grabbed her under my armpit and ruffled her hair.

“Stop it Ian”. She laughed so hard escaping from my arms as she straightened her hair well.

“Ian, whatever you wanna do, stop it…think twice before doing anything stupid”.

“Mom, come on! I’m not a baby anymore, remember I’m the man of the house”

“And I’m your mother”. She yelled

“Mom? Stop raising your voice at me,think about your health”. I said calmly

“The fact that I’m on the wheelchair doesn’t mean I can’t perform my motherly duties Ian, I see you’ve been moving with bad friends lately. Ian…I didn’t train you up that way. If your father were to be alive–”

“Mom…Mom… please,just stop. Stop bringing father into our lives again. He is a past. Mom…” I moved closer to her and bent in front of her . I took her two hands and kssed them .

“I love you Mom. I’m not doing anything bad and I’ll always make you proud”. I said

“Ohh son”. She sobbed and kssed my head .

“Come on guys…Mom Ian will be fine, let’s go to the room I wanna make you look beautiful. Your hair needs some touches “. Ivy said touching Mom’s hair as I stood up and she winked at me wheeling Mom inside.

I sighed and went out.

“Hello guys ..it’s time”. I said and headed to an abandoned hallway.

“Are you at the different corners? I said again.

“Yes, is he on his way?

“Of course he should be…” I said hoping that he is on his way so I can give him what he requested.

“How dare he messaged me like that? It’s not as if he’s my boyfriend or something”. I said in annoyance after staring at Drake’s message for a while.

“Message him back and see his reason. There’s a reason for everything you know? Jennifer said sitting on my bed.

I adjusted my position .

“Are you trying to support him or what? I flared.

“No…no…no…I’m not,I was just saying actually”.

“Fine, I’ll do that”. I took my phone and decided to message him .

? What’s your business with that? ??

I even added an emoji. Drake can be annoying sometimes.

My phone beeped some minutes later .

?I have my reasons and they’re candid . Avoid Harris as much as you can .

?Shut up! The fact that you bought stuffs for me, that I work in your office and also for the fact that you’re nice to me and Nanny Jade doesn’t give you the effrontery to talk to me like that .

? Valerie? ? Listen to me please, I don’t want you to get hurt another time .

? Whatever. This should be the last time we talk to each other. In actual fact, I quit . Go to hell with your job and everything. Don’t you even talk to me again.

? Please don’t do this to yourself! I love you that’s why I’m telling you this .

He even sent love emojis. Gosh! Drake is so annoying.

?I don’t love you . I love Harris. Don’t you talk to me again .

With that I threw my phone in the bed and it made Jenny to be startled.

“What’s wrong with you? Go easy on your temper “. She yelled at me.

I have a bad temper and I know it. I hate it when people talk to me about people I love .

“Drake might have a reason”. She said . I know she’s gonna side him anyways.

“Who are you supporting Jennifer? Me? Drake or Harris? Wait I wanna ask you a question…Do you like Harris and you want him for yourself or you want Drake.

You’re always supporting whatever Drake says and yes you don’t want me closer to Harris. Which do you like? I said and a slap landed on my cheeks.

“How dare you! How dare you Valerie? She said as tears rolled down her cheeks.

I looked deep into her soft eyes. Valerie what’s wrong with you. I’ve been so hot tempered eversince I was little due to the negligence. I was rejected by everyone. I had no friends neither do I have a real family.

Everything made me so furious. I sighed as she yelled continually. She doesn’t understand what it means to love someone. What it means to feel loved ? Harris was the first person that showed me what love is.

“Valerie? I’m your friend and I don’t want you to be hurt. How can you say those harsh words to be because I want the best for you? How could you do such a thing? She said and stood up.

“Suit yourself Valerie! Suit yourself. If you need my help talk to me, Okay? She said and stormed out.

I can’t believe her . How dare she ?

Does she thinks I’m so gullible or too cheap to talk for Harris .

Drake is actually right and I know Harris must be up to something .

I stormed out. I had no intentions to. I was hurt so badly.

Is that what she thinks of me? A whore? Someone who feels too clingy when it comes to guys? .

I raced down the stairs as my sandals made sounds.

“What happened Jenny? Nanny Jade tried to stop me but I wasn’t ready to listen as I ran towards my house.

She sent me another nude picture of herself .

She’s definitely more endowed than Autumn. She looks like an high school student.

“I’m there already”. I texted her again she she told me her location.

“Guys I’ll be back now”. I said without waiting for any questions.

I couldn’t wait any longer. I smacked Drake at his head so he wouldn’t think I ignored him.

I drove to the place and got to the abandoned hallway. The breeze blew and my lips were dry already.

I dipped my hands in my jacket pocket and walked slowly. I decided to try her number and it rang but she didn’t pick it instead she sent a message to me.

“I’m at that corner”. The message read and came along with a picture. I traced the picture to the hallway and finally found her .

She wasn’t facing me but I saw her long hair. I smiled and ran towards her. I was about touching he shoulder when I heard a loud bang from somewhere and I found myself on the floor.

I ran after her. I wanted to apologise to her . I was sorry. I wasn’t myself. I ran towards the staircase and paused .

I don’t want Nanny to suspect a thing .

“Valerie? What’s up with you and Jenny? She ran out in tears without telling me anything. Is anything the matter? She said .

“Nanny… Jenny’s just acting like a baby . I’ll talk to her. I’m stepping out for a while”. I said and went out.
