After Autumn did all her drama,I had to tell them to give us a little space .

“Don’t do anything stupid! Remember,this is a hospital..” Rick smacked my bandaged arm

“Ouch…! We’re just gonna have a conversation. Nothing much dude”.

“Okay, we’ve heard you … don’t take too much of our time ”

“Valerie? I called as everyone looked back including her . I could read her mind and feel the pain in her eyes.

“Huh? She said softly

“Thanks a lot for today,I’ll surely repay you one day”. I said winking at her and she smiled .

“Heyyyy…Harris, are you forgetting me? Remember without me Val won’t be here? Jenny said as we all laughed .

“Thanks Jennifer,you deserve a kss”. I blew a kss to her as she blushed.

“We’ll head home and check up on you tomorrow”. Valerie said and they left .

“So…baby, what do you want us to talk about. I’m always ready for you, you know right? She said se.ductively.

She sat down close to me and was rubbing my chest when I held her hand with my left hand .

I’ve actually thought of a way I could win the bet of Valerie laying with me.

And I knew Autumn would not support this idea but I have to get rid of her if I wanna win.

She has been talking about this marriage stuff and I’m not sure if it’s gonna work out between us. I’m doing all these because of my Mom and not love .

I don’t even understand what love means .

“Autumn? I want you to do a favor for me “. I said and sat upright again

“Yunno, I’d do anything…any single thing..for you baby, just name it”

“Okay, Even though you’re not comfortable with it? I said.

“Hmmm, seems it looks tough! Harris darling,ask anything… I’ll do it . I promise, that’s because of my love for you”

“I wanna date Valerie” . I landed .

Was I supposed to land like that? Sht!

“What ? She stood up from my side and I had to hold her hand s she won’t freak out.

“What the fuck are you telling me Harris? Did we break up? Did I do anything wrong? Harris I’m confused…I don’t understand”. She said again tearily .

“Babe, I don’t like Valerie,it’s you I love and you know that”.

“No Harris? No! If you love me you won’t say that nonsense”. She said

“I made a bet with the boys that I’d date Valerie for a week but they said she won’t date me because she’s kinda playing hard to get.

Now, I need your help to win this bet… please,it will end on my 18th birthday and I promise you …. you’ll be the one I’ll marry. Just do this favor for me”. I held her hand and sat up well

“Harris? Do you wanna see me die? How could you? How could you place a bet on Valerie? Why…How? She cried .

“Why are you acting like this ? I told you it’s just for a while, didn’t I?

“You did…but?

“Babe?

“Fine! I’ll pretend I don’t know anything about it “. She said and left in annoyance.

“Hey everyone, you’re all invited to Harris birthday party”. I said walking down the hallway of our school.

I met a tray of people walking towards me to collect the pass for the party.

“You’re invited,come along with a bikini, there’s gonna be a pool party”. I said to a lady who took it with a smile.

“Thanks Autumn”. She said.

I can’t wait to finally get Valerie off my way. Harris promised me that the deal is gonna end on his birthday and I’m so excited.

I know she’s so happy that she finally have Harris to her side unknown to her it’s just a matter of time .

I met her coming with the pink princess and yes, the one that acts like a girl among them , thankfully he’s changing now and acts more like a boy .

“Hey nerdy”. I said moving to her side with my friends. She was walking briskly with her books fixed at her chest and she used her hand to hold it.

I hit her arms as the books fell from her hands and dropped to the floor.

“What do you want from us this time Autumn? The pink girl said .

“Shut up and stay away from it”. I pointed at her as my friends moved towards her to stop her from interfering with me.

“Autumn , please…I don’t want trouble this morning”. She said bending down to pack her books .

“Are you talking to me? I moved towards her and grabbed her by her hair . Jennifer wanted to fight for her but my friends held her by her hands.

Everyone was enjoying the scene I was creating as they recorded again .

I dragged her on the floor as she held my hand . I wasn’t gonna stop as I headed towards the toilet and kicked it open.

“I hate you Valerie…I just hate you and want you out of my darn life”. I pulled her up and saw a drum of water and I dunked her head inside it .

“Stop it, you’ll kll her…stop Autumn”. Jennifer cried as she struggled to free herself from my friends who held her two hands to the back .

Everyone gathered and I wasn’t ready to stop either .

“Autumn? Someone called and pulled me away as Valerie fell to the floor.

“Are you out of your mind? Harris said holding my shoulders as I tried to move forward again

“Harris,let me deal with that bitch”. I said trying to free myself from his grip .

“Valerie? Valerie? Are you okay? Drake said. He was the one that pulled me away as he knelt down in front of Valerie and gathered her in his arms .

She only coughed water and tried to catch her breath.

“What’s wrong with you Autumn? What if she died? Drake yelled at me.

“Tell you nerdy girlfriend to stay away from me and Harris or else I’ll do something worse than this,plus I don’t wanna see her on Harris birthday”. I said and removed Harris hand from mine and walked away as some girls jeered me .

I’m so stupid! I’m a fool for falling for Harris .

“Valerie? I heard Jenny’s voice . I was in someone’s arms. A huge
arms and I felt so warm and safe .

“Valerie…Val are you okay? Rie? Rie? A male voice said and I recognize it instantly.

“D…rake? I said catching my breath

Why the h’ll is he holding me again? Is he here to tell me to stop following Harris now? I’ve had enough of all those expensive tales that bothers my ears .

“I wanna be alone”. I finally spoke up after opening my eyes. They all left leaving me,Drake and Jennifer alone .

“Valerie?? Jenny bent down touq
Me meched my hair as I left Drake’s arm and hugged her .

“Valerie, stay away from Harris so you won’t get hurt anymore”. Drake said holding my hand

“Leave me alone Drake”. I rolled my eyes removing his hand from mine.

“Valerie, Drake is telling you the truth, just let Harris be . He was here,but he didn’t say anything and he supported Autumn…I thought he told you he loves you…then why? Jennifer ranted on and on .

I know she’s probably mad at me and hates the way I’m been treated .

I just buried my head in her chest.

“Jennifer,give her a break”. Drake said holding her hand as they looked at each other.

“I’m sorry…I can’t help it. I love Harris . I love him so much and he loves me too, I don’t know why you both can’t see how much he loves me”. I cried on and on as they both watched me.

Valerie kept hurting both of us. She was hurting me and she was hurting herself too .

My heart was burning within me also as I watched her rest her head on Jenny’s chest.

“I love Harris”. She muttered as tears rolled down on her cheeks.

Why can’t she see that Harris is laying a trap for her . I don’t know or have an idea when he’s gonna hatch his plan but I’m sure it’s gonna be his birthday.

“Harris is?

“Save it Drake…I don’t have any strength to argue with you” . She sat up and walked away

“Jennifer are you coming or not? She said .

“Thanks Drake, thanks a lot. I hope her eyes will be opened to see how much you love her and how Harris is deceiving her”. Jennifer said and hugged me as they both walked away.
