Loud music played in the background as Raphael served the customers..

Girls kept throwing him seductive stares and htting on him as usual but being the decent guy he was, he didn’t even look at their side talk more of responding to them cos he had eyes only for one girl

CERLIA! He loved her to the moon and back.

” I can see Cerlia is the only thing on your mind, brain and head..” His friend, Arnold said

” Yeah, think all you want pepper..” Raphael said sitting closer to him.

Pepper was Arnold’s nickname since their high school cause he he talks alot

” So, Is Cerlia coming over?” Arnold asked

” I don’t think so.. ” he replied

” Sincerely dude, Cerlia isn’t the usual Cerlia we both know. She has changed alot…”

” And what do you mean by that?” Raphael asked already annoyed

” Yho yho, Cool down man, I’m just saying according to my observation.. she doesn’t come here often anymore and…

” That’s because she’s working now, she’s a busy lady. I wouldn’t want to have this conversation again Arnold ” Raphael said and stood up. He left Arnold and sat somewhere else

” I hope he sees what I’m trying to tell him on time…” Arnold sigh

Alston walked into the house and Larina walked up to him to collect his briefcase.

” Welcome ” she said and kssed her husband

” Welcome dad ” Vespertine greeted

” What are you doing here? You should….

” I can’t I be at my dad’s house anymore?” Vespertine asked

” Hell no boy, You know what I’m talking about so don’t get it twisted..” Alston said which made him laugh

His parents were dramatic too but his sister was more of the drama lord

” I couldn’t stay there anymore.. she bought new snakes ”

” Huh? ”

” You can ask mom, she fainted earlier ” Vespertine replied

” My baby girl got a snake as a pet?” Alston asked

” Not that, her bedspread contains snakes ” Larina replied and Alston chuckled, taking the stairs to his room

” You’re not gonna say anything about it?” Vespertine shouted after him

” She’s an adult, she knows what she’s doing..” Alston replied walking fully into his room

” Should I go to work tomorrow? ” She asked herself throwing her legs in the air

She had been contemplating whether to go or not for a while now

She hissed loudly when she heard her phone ring

” This number looks familiar..”

She stared at for phone for a while before picking it up then she realized it was Davis

? Hey beauty.. Davis smiled from his end

? Have something to say? She asked

? Nah, Just wanted to hear your voice.. Davis said but she ended the call before he could speak further

” That àsshole.. just wanted to hear your voice..” she mimicked before bursting into laughter

She switched off her phone and threw it randomly across the room before going under her blanket

Raphael walked down the street in the dark night with his hands in his big hoodie

He couldn’t check up on her cos it was late already and he was tired from stress so he decided to call her instead

Cerlia was about picking up her call when she heard the door bell but she had to pick up when she noticed it was Raphael

? Hey baby.. She said walking to get the door

? How are you? I miss you.. Raphael said

She opened the door revealing Exton who captured her lips immediately
