CHAPTER 2

GODIVA’S MANSION

Minutes later, the compound was filled with different girls and women

Lydia smiled at them, welcoming them but before she sends anyone in, she made sure none of them was putting on perfume

Though no one knew this.. those that had spray on, she advised them to go back home

The girls started entering the mansion one after the other but majority of them either left the mansion crying or in anger

” I guess it didn’t go as they expected” Lydia sighed, leaving the rest of the applicants outside and walking back inside

She met Godiva sipping from a glass of wine with two people standing a distance from her

” Oh! She found two people already” Lydia muttered but she heard her. She stared at her briefly before looking elsewhere.

She got ten more people before dismissing the rest of the crowd

” Lydia.. She called and Lydia walked to her

” Teach them what they need to know” She stood up and left the mansion

She met Nicolas, her driver waiting for her

She got into the car and he did same, igniting the engine and driving out of the compound

THE MORENO’S MANSION

” Vespertine.. aren’t you gonna visit your sister today?” Larina asked, descending the stairs

“Mom, that’s between Diva and I” Vespertine replied, his gaze on his phone

” She must have missed you” Alston, his dad added walking downstairs too

” Did you both plan this?” Vespertine asked sitting on the dining, ready to eat breakfast before heading to school

” If she really did miss me, she would have called” he added, scooping food into his mouth and immediately his phone rang

” Speak of the dvil”

” Diva I guess ” his mom asked and he sighed

” What does she want? Jack already told me she was employing new workers after firing 15 of them just last week.

Seriously, I wonder where you both got her from?” He sighed again dropping his spoon

? I have some work for you, come over during the evening.. Godiva said and ended the call

” Wow.. She’s gone totally cr@zy” he hissed staring at his phone

” I’m off..” he stood up and walked out of the house..

Vespertine and Godiva are siblings. Godiva being the first child and an independent successful business lady while Vespertine, her kid brother who is 18 is an highschool student and also a bada$s hacker..

He’s friends with Jack, his sister’s computer expert.

” Hope it isn’t another office work?” He sighed for the hundredth time as he drove to school

DIVA’S COLLECTION

She walked elegantly and majestically into the company like the queen she was

Her steps faltered when she perceived a strange smell, she immediately got her nose mask from her bag, putting it on before facing the direction where she had perceived the scent

” Come here..” she pointed at a girl and the girl walked up to her

” What’s your name?”

” Claudia”

” Now Claudia, is she wearing a body spray?” She pointed at another girl.

Claudia smelled the girl’s body and and nodded her head

” Yes she is ”

Godiva turned to the girl….. “You’re FIRED ” she said and walked out of them while the girl who had perfume on just stood dumbfounded

” What did I do?” The girl asked, confused

“There’s no point pleading” Claudia told her

” But I was just employed yesterday”

” Whoever employed you didn’t ask you not to come with body spray?” Claudia asked and walked away

The Employees who came across Godiva bowed as she walked into the conference room.

She met Mr Ajay and some other first- time investors seated. She sat on the swivel chair and crossed her legs on each other.. she just kept mute giving them space to talk..

After a very long talk which seemed boring to her, she decided to partner with them

” Thanks for your time gentlemen ” she gave a fake smile and stood up, ready to leave when one of the board members walked pass her and the scent of his perfume penetrated her nose..

She staggered as her eyes suddenly turn red.. her body was itching too but she’s was not gonna do anything Infront of all those people in the room

” All of You, leave. I don’t wanna see you any of you ” She gritted out, her head bent before running out of the room

” Huh? What’s happening ?” Noise erupted from those in the room

“It’s best you all leave now ” Gianna, the secretary told them before going after Godiva

Godiva wobbled her way to the drawer, crashing into the pile of file on her table but she stood up back weakly, reaching for the drawer

She looked like a monster right now with her veins visible and life slowly leaving her body

She groaned painfully and struggled with difficulty till she got a syringe from the drawer and immediately injected herself.

She inhaled deeply but weakly as she watch her body slowly come back to normal after a while

” Those Stüpid mo..rons..” she cursed, getting up on her feet slowly and that moment, Gianna entered

” Take care of things here Gianna…. she said and made to leave but stopped

” I discovered a new perfume last night and I’ll be sending you the ingredients later.

You guys should work on it, it’s gonna sell cause it’s scent would be perfect and out of the world” she said and Gianna nodded. With that, she left her office heading home.

” Such a waste coming to work today” she shook her head as her driver drove her back to the mansion

SAME DAY, EVENING

Vespertine walked into the mansion and the maids greeted him as he entered.

” Wow, new faces? Diva is amazing isn’t she?” he sighed before walking into his own room. He had a room in the mansion.

He had a bath and was now in something comfy

” Diva.. he called walking to her room.. he twisted the knob and it opened.

He quickly duck when he saw a slipper flying towards him

” Why didn’t you knock @sshole..” Godiva asked, returning her gaze to her laptop

” How did you know I was coming?” He asked but she didn’t reply

“Come here Viper, you need to check this out..” she said

“It’s Vesper, Vespertine!! ” He rolled his eyes

” Whatever, just come ” she said and he walked to her

“The new spray I’m working on ” She said

“So why are you telling me about your new found spray?” Vespertine asked sarcastically

“dumb@ss..” she gave him a knock before closing the laptop

” How are your parents?” She asked, playing with his hair

“My parents?”

” Yeah, Mr Moreno and his wife” She replied but he slapped her hands off his hair before Walking out of her room

” I’m not done talking f..óól..” She yelled after him

“You can talk to your laptop.. ugly gorilla ” Vespertine retorted…

“Is that how she welcomes me after a week of not seeing me? That psychó I have as a sister.. she called me here only because of her new discovered spray?” He hissed loudly, shutting his door in a loud bang

?? Midnight

It was exactly midnight but sleep was very far from Godiva as she kept tossing on her bed.

She had sent the ingredients to Gianna and had done everything she had to do but sleep still wasn’t coming.

Left with one option, she got down from the bed, heading to the sitting room.

She didn’t bother to turn on the light as she climbed the couch with a bowl of popcorn in her hand

She turn on the TV and played a horror movie

” A NIGHTMARE ON ELM STREET ” was boldly written on the tv screen

“Here we go…” She smiled, leaning back on the couch

The sitting room was so dark that the tv was the only source of light. Her eyes stayed glued on the screen as the movie played

” m*therfker, Freddy should have given her a more painful death ” she laughed loudly as she watched Freddy Slice open Tina’s abdomen, leaving her blood splash everywhere in the room and drags the body to the ceiling

” Freddy needs to learn some kllîng techniques from me. I mean, he should have stab her numerous times before slicing her abdomen open.

His klling method is whack, I’m disappointed!! ” she shook her head, disappointedly as she stuffed her mouth with popcorn

” Hahahahahhahahhhahahaha..” she laughed again this time like a real witch..

” ARGHH!!! GODIVA!!!!!!” Vespertine screamed from his room when he couldn’t take it anymore

The rest of the employees who were sleeping woke up all looking frightened.
