Chapter 26
“I don’t want you to keep suffering like this, she added crying more.
“Am not suffering Evie, Pearl yelled.
“Am not suffering because I still got you, Pearl said sniffing in as her own tears broke loose.
“Am sorry, I just want you to stop getting hurt, Evie replied holding her hand.
“Stop apologizing, will you? It’s not your fault, it’s no one’s fault, it’s just what fate wanted for me, she responded with a sad smile.
“Please stop saying that. You have to be strong, remember?
“I promise to try, and you also have to promise to be strong.
When am loosing hope, I need yours to keep going. So I need you to promise me that you’ll do that for me.
“I promise, I promise Pearl, Evie said smiling.
“Now that’s why I love you, Pearl smiled back, cupping her cheeks playfully.
“Gosh!, I feel sleepy now, she yawned laying back on the bed.
“Sleep then, I will be here watching my ‘Sleeping Angel’, Evie replied with a cheerful smile and her lashes closed slowly.
As Evie watched the sleeping Pearl, her heart ached more wondering why she had to suffer so much.
She’s a few years older than Pearl, that’s why she always sees her as a little sister.
She wished could have a happy life, at least one better than this.
Only if she could help her, she would have done that a long time ago without looking back.
Her only hope is that fate pities her and brings her out of this cruel fate.

?Dinning (Dinner)?
“You could have just decided to go to bed hungry, Draco said flatly to Pearl who was playing with her food.
“Am sorry, she apologized. She truly doesn’t have the appetite to eat anything, she couldn’t even bring herself to try.
“Instead of always apologizing, try to stop annoying me, he spat growling with a mean look and she bent her head.
“Go to bed if you’re not eating, we are leaving early tomorrow, he added as he continued eating.
“I was wondering if, if, she swallowed back the words she tried saying.
“If what could happen?, Draco asked raising an eyebrow up.
Seeing the cold long face he pulled, she dared not say what’s on her mind.
“Nothing!
“Better, he scoffed returning back to what he was doing.
“Good night sir, she said getting up, but he didn’t say a word till she left.
Draco looked at the space where she had left, he knows clearly what was on her mind.
She doesn’t wanna go out with him tomorrow, but thank her stars she hadn’t say those words to him.
“Fo.olish mortals! He scoffed.

?Draco’s Room?
“Dad, Where are you going?, Little Draco asked, running after his father.
“Somewhere son, his father replied as he turned to him.
“Can I come with you?, Draco asked with a grin.
“No son, you have to stay and be safe for me okay?, He smiled, bending to his height.
“Okay, you will be back right?
“Of course I would, I always do, don’t I?
“Yeah, you always do, Draco smiled.
“That’s my good boy, He smiled back, ruffling his hair while he giggled.
“Tom, His dad called Tom who was at Draco’s back. He gave him a sign with a nod and he nodded back.
“Bye son, be a good boy okay? And keep remembering everything I taught you too.
“Sure dad, he smiled, waving him goodbye.
Slowly that smile and body appeared to be fading away with each step he took.
“Dad!, Draco muttered in his real state and that made him wake up from his sleep.
He’s sweating profusely, his whole body is now soaked in it.
He got up and sat down, memories of his dad were now swaying in his head.
Opening his locket he looked at his mum’s picture and then his dad’s which was on top of the cupboard beside his bed.
“I wish you both were still here, he said, smiling sadly.
He never really met his mum, cause she died after his birth.
It was just him and his dad during his childhood until he passed away too.
His strong ability and everything he has learnt so far, were mostly because of him.
He promised himself to be strong and brave like he was. Somehow he has achieved that, after all he’s now the feared “Dread Lord”.
