Chapter 40

Pearl’s eyes bulged their sockets while Draco growled angrily and tried chaining her back, but she dodged it.

“That won’t work this time” she said and used her tail to sI.ap him to the wall.

“You bI.oody wretch” he cvrsed, spitting out the bI.ood in his mouth.

Seeing his own bI.ood, enraged him more. His nails grew longer and his eyes changed their color too. Half of the be.ast in him has risen.

“Klling another va.mpire would surely make a lovely record” Lilith smirked and crawled fastly to him.

They both fought strongly, giving each other a taste of their blade.

Lilith’s strength was more energized than before, thanks to Pearl’s energy. It was almost forgotten that she’s still in the room.

Pearl kept screaming on top of her voice as they fought. She’s terrified and scared, she wished she never opened that door or broke those chains.

After giving Draco another powerful toss, she crawled back to Pearl. She smirked and raised her hand up. Her fingers were now longer than before.

“No!!!” Pearl shouted on top of her voice as she tried to $tab her with it.

Draco jumped in front of her and took the $tab instead. Pearl passed out from the shock and much energy drained from her, while Draco looked at the fingers in his chest.

He let out a dvilish smirk and pulled it off by rpping off her arm completely.

“Arghh!!! Lilith groans in pain, holding the hurt part.

“Cvrse you!” She cvrsed, making de.mons appear.

“Cvrsing a cvrsed soul” Draco snickered dvilishly. He shut his eyes and opened them back swiftly, red lights shone brightly from them and started burning them all.

“Ahhh!!!” Lilith screamed loudly with the de.mons, and the red lights from his eyes kept burning them.

“Keep burning in h’ll!!! Draco shouted as they burned completely and disappeared with loud screams.

?Draco’s Room (Night)?

His eyes had been fixed on her like nothing else was worth looking at.

She’s been asleep ever since she fainted and still hasn’t woken up. He has already had a physician from his realm check on her.

Luckily, her energy wasn’t drained much because he appeared in time.

He had almost forgotten Lilith was also capable of taking different forms.

Those tiny fingers moved a little and he signed in relief. His anger for what she did got triggered again.

He didn’t clear her memory cause he’s willing to tell her some stuff now.

“Whe..re am I?” Pearl asked in a whisper as her eyelashes blinked confusingly.

“Did you lose your sense too?” Draco scoffs.

Pearl tried sitting up slowly on her own, then her brain started recalling everything that had happened earlier.

Immediately the memories struck her like lightning, she shifted fearfully from Draco.

“Now you’re scared of me. Just like you should be” he smirked.

“Where is my mother?” She asked, feeling a huge lump in her throat.

“What do you think?” He raised his brow and she shook her head trying to fight back her tears.

“Who was she and what was she?”

“Now you’re asking the main deal. She’s Lilith, a supernatural being” he replied and her eyes popped.

She knows all these but she just wants to be sure she wasn’t dreaming.

“And you’re a supernatural too,” she said as she saw that his wounded chest has been healed, like nothing happened to him at all.

“Yes, a va.mpire” he replied.

“Supernatural beings?” She muttered, finding it unbelievable of how she has lived in the dark all this while.

“But how come you never acted like one till then?” she asked again in a voice that held no fear but pain instead.

“I have always done so” he responded, smiling deviously and Pearl swallowed hard.

“How come you never reacted to the sun or appear invisible in mirrors?” Another question came from her and Draco signed.

“We superiors can control all that” He answered.

“You need to keep resting, the maids will get something to eat” Draco said and stood up from the bed.

He walked over to the window with his hands in his pockets. He heard Pearl’s silent sobs, but didn’t turn to check on her.

A lot was still left to be told, but he doesn’t want her to know all that yet.

The reason Lilith lured her was because only Pearl’s energy could unlock her apart from Draco’s.

Draining her energy too would have made her more unstoppable.

Draco knows clearly that was just the beginning, more would still come for her. Each day of her life would keep luring them closer.

?Morning?

“Why didn’t you join me for breakfast?” Draco asked Pearl as she walked into his room. He’s currently dressing up for work.

“Sorry I disobeyed you, I didn’t have any appetite” she replied calmly with her head facing downwards.

Draco turned his gaze to her, her look defines the word “Pitiful”. He signed, knowing she didn’t sleep last night.

“Stay back today” he said and Pearl raised her head.

“And don’t do any other stupid thing” he added and walked out of the room.

Pearl didn’t seem happy or show any expression about what she heard.

Her mind has been blank, filled with nothing but painful memories. At this point, she doesn’t know who she is anymore.
