SWEET THORN : CHAPTERS 41 – 50

?A Mall?

“Pearl, isn’t this one of the best days of your life? Evie asked, inhaling the sweet air.

“A day where you’re actually free”

“Free with all these bunch of guards” Pearl replied and scoffed.

“You’re right, I wish they weren’t here with us. Well, it’s still a free day from work and that scary house” Evie said and smiled.

“Ma’am, please follow me to the dressing room” a worker said to Pearl with a short smile.

“I want you to take my breath away when you step out of that room okay?” Evie winked and she rolled her eyes, following the worker.

“Please get us some juice” Evie said to a guard and he nodded and left.

After some minutes that seemed like forever, Pearl stepped out of the dressing room. She’s dressed beautifully in a ball gown.

“I know I asked you to take my breath but right now you have literally klled me” Evie muttered with her mouth opened wide as her eyes feasted on Pearl.

“You’re fking gorgeous ma’am”

“She looks like a fairytale princess”

“Am in love with her baby face”

The workers around won’t stop whispering loudly.

“It feels heavy on me” Pearl pout.

“Don’t ruin this moment for me” Evie glared.

“Let’s go for the next outfit ma’am” the worker said again and she nodded.

“I will go ask them to start digging my grave” Evie shouted after her, as she sat down back on her seat.

Pearl stepped out with her next outfit and everyone gasped. She’s in a short red short gown and it’s revealing her cleavages a little.

“She’s smoking hot” another round of comments filled the section.

“Fk me! Did I ever tell you my real gender was male?” Evie said senselessly.

“Stop being naughty” Pearl blushed.

“My little baby has grown so much” She muttered, clearing her eyes dramatically with a handkerchief.

“Can’t believe I’m stuck with an emotional mother” Pearl said and chuckled.

She went in for her other outfits and they were all perfect like they were made just for her.

“I know he’s a cold and ruthless being, but when it comes to fashion, he’s the King!” Evie said as they were walking out the mall.

“And the king of Naughtiness. You can see that clearly in each dress he picked for me” Pearl replied with a scoff.

“A little naughtiness doesn’t hurt” Evie grinned and she glared.

“Time to go back to that dungeon” Pearl said and sighed.

“Well, at least he’s not around today” Evie replied and they got in as the car got opened for them.

?Evie’s Home?

“You’re back early today” Rex said as she came in.

“So are you. Did something happen?” She asked, dropping her bag down.

“Nope! Just thought of coming home early to rest” he replied.

“Hmm.. that’s okay!” She nodded and sat on the couch tiredly.

“I guess yours is the same excuse”

“Yeah, kinda!” She replied.

“Pearl is okay right? Like she’s not d.ead yet” He said, smiling mischievously.

“Of course she’s okay. If anyone is dying, then it’s you” she shouted and threw a pillow at him and he chuckled.

After some seconds of silence, the door’s bell rang.

“Go get the pizza” Evie said and his teeth formed a grin immediately.

“Here I was thinking I was gonna d!e in the kitchen” He smiled happily, getting up.

“I would have gladly buried you in the backyard” she replied.

“Sis” he called as he suddenly stopped walking.

“Yes” she responded.

“Have you ever been in a twist?” He asked.

“What kind of twist?” She asked back.

“The kind you don’t understand what’s going on anymore”

“Still don’t understand what you’re tryna say”

“Well, it’s… never mind” he said, cutting off the conversation and she shrugged.

“Whatever! Go get my pizza” she replied and he left.

What actually came to his mind to ask was what happened earlier with Raven and Kira. His mind has somehow gotten wrapped up around it.
