CHAPTER 22

I was about to respond when I remembered that I was hit because of him.

I just nodded my head not saying anything.

“You don’t have to worry about Eric, he’s aware and I’m sure he apologized to you”

I looked at him “how did you know that? ”

“I’m his best friend and more over Eric tells be everything, like there’s nothing I don’t know about him”.

I stared at Seth, if Seth knows everything about him then he should know about Ariel.

“Seth, can I ask you something?”

He smiled before sitting on the bed but I gave him a little distance not wanting to annoy Eric if he ever finds out about this.

“What’s it?”

“Ehh, you see… ” I was already becoming nervous.

“You can ask me anything, Nyx, I’ll answer truthfully”.

I just nodded my head looking back at him seriously.

“Doyouknowariel?”

“Nyx breath I’m not going to bite so take it slow so I can hear you”.

I sighed before saying.

“Seth, I know it’s none of my business but whose Ariel?”

The smile that was on his face was gone completely as I could see anger flash on his face.

“How the h’ll did you know that?”

He said with teeth gritted together.

“I… I.. Eric.. sleeping..

“Don’t ever mention her name again, especially when Eric is there. If you do I swear Eric will kill you and I’m dead serious”

A wave of fear shivered round my body.

“How did you know about her?”.

I began to tell Seth about last night and I could see the anger in him was increasing each second a word I said about her.

“Just forget about it, yes Eric has nightmares but don’t mention her name in his presence”.

“But why? ” I asked.

“Like you said it’s none of your business ” he spat angrily.

Ouch,

I just nodded my head not pushing any further. I should have just kept this my big mouth shut.

I wonder when I started becoming curious and talking more.

Seth, who noticed my behavior, took a deep breath before looking at me.

“Nyx, if you know what’s best for you don’t ever mention her name again

As you have seen Eric has nightmares so calling her name is forbidden. It brings bad memories” that last part he whispered it but I could hear it.

I just nodded without saying anything.

“So tell me Nyx, who do you like Eric?” Seth said.

I choked on my saliva , coughing hard.

“W…what?”

“Why’s your face so red, are you running temperature”

Seth said, touching my face.

I shifted backwards avoiding his eyes ” I’m fine”.

“Ohhh I get it, you’re blushing at the mention of Eric right”.

“N..no, th… that’s not it”.

“If that’s not it then you like him”

“No” I screamed, making Seth laugh like a maniac.

“Seriously, you need to see your face right now”.

I couldn’t help but laugh too.

“I’m just kidding, but you too look good together. It’s just Eric who can be a dk sometimes.

He changed so much”.

He said with a sad smile on his face.

I could see he’s talking about his past.

“I guess I should be going before Eric starts lecturing me about him being possessive about what belongs to him”.

He said winking at me.

What the h’ll was that supposed to mean?

“Bye Nyx, I hope we see each other again.”

I was about to say goodbye when he phone started to ring.

“It’s Eric , bye and you need to thank me because of me Eric is more calm”

With that he walked out.

I chuckled, this Seth is really a mystery.

But Eric, he’s hard to predict.

The day went by, and I decided not to butt into anything that has to do with Eric’s past.

Just like Seth has said.

I put his diary back in its place not wanting to read it again.

I looked outside, through the glass as I saw Eric’s car coming in.

He’s around, I was happy.

I quickly rushed out but my chain , it couldn’t reach abd the guards there gave me a confused look.

Probably this is the first time they saw me coming out.

I waited for Eric by the door.

When I finally saw him a smile escaped my lips.

He looked at me confusedly.

“Did you hit your head somewhere?” He said touching my head if I had any injury.

“I should be the one asking you the same question about yesterday?”

The guards looked at me shocked as if I said something wrong.
