“I don’t know but the invite was on purpose, he really wants to get on your nerves and he’s planning on opening a new hotel here so he can stay long.”
I forced a smile not to worry Seth again , he’s always by my side and I feel like I’m a burden .
“You don’t need to worry about me I’ll be fine, I can take care of Ryder “.
He looked at me before he sighed.
“So whose going to be your date?” He said changing the topic which I was grateful
“I should also be asking you that question ” I said.
“I now see why we are best friend ” he said chuckling as I just smiled.
“You know you should let Nyx out for a while, I know she’s your property but she’s also a human. And it will be nice if you remove that chain.
I mean it’s not like she’ll run away considering the security and she doesn’t have anywhere to go”.
I just sighed resting my head back , Seth always know how to make me feel guilty.
After shouting at me for hitting her when he found out , God, he almost hit me, what I’m I ever saying he did hit me .
He was the one that made me apologize to Nyx and I promised him not to hit her again.
I can’t lose my best friend all because of a girl so I’ll just do whatever he says even if that means bringing my pride down.
I looked at Seth again whose giving me that look again.
“Don’t give me that look Seth”.
“You either release her or say goodbye to this friendship”.
“Like seriously Seth, you’re going to pick her over our friendship” I growled.
“Yes , so if I mean anything to you , you’ll just do as I say”.
I’m sure he’s laughing inside because he knows he mean the world to me. I could give up my life for him and he I know he will do the same thing for me.
“Fine I’ll remove the chain”
“That’s more like it. Eric I was thinking, you know maybe….. I mean it’s your choice though I won’t force you.”
” What is it Seth?”
“I was thinking maybe next could be your date to the grand party “.
I stared at him in shock.
“Are you fking kidding me?”.
“It’s your choice , just think about it. I’m sure you guys will make a good couple and give me lots of babies. Can’t wait to become an uncle “.
“Uncle??, I thought you have a lot of work to do Seth at your company “.
” Don’t worry my assistant demon Is handling everything well for me, so I’m stick with you “.
I just rolled my eyes.
“Eric , you really need to forget the past and move on,I mean you’re 22”
“You still have time “.
I knew he was right but I wasn’t ready to move on. I am not ready to let go of her.
I promised her and I can’t break that promise.
But I couldn’t help but think about that bstard Ryder.
The one that was once considered as I and Seth best friend since childhood.
That betrayer.
That murderer.
