Episode 15

Rissa’s pov:
My plan is kind of going as planned. Mykel wants to come along with me. Anything to get out of this boring house.
We got to the red car and I handed him the car keys.
“I thought you wanted to drive” He said staring at the keys.
“Yes…but I want you to drive first. Like they say, gentlemen first…” I said nervously.
He shrugged and got into the driver’s seat while I hopped into the back.
He started the car and revised from the lot it was parked. He drove the lengthy way to the big gate and the gatemen observed the car for a while before opening up the gate; they pressed the button that’d made the gates to part.
The car was tinted so I didn’t worry about them spotting me in the car.
Great! Mykel drove past smoothly and into the road.
My plan’s working! I knew that the security guards won’t let me drive the car out so I just used Mykel to get past.
“Okay…that’s enough. It’s my turn to drive now, Mykel” I chipped in from the back.
He kept going on full speed and I went to the front seat with him. It wasn’t easy but luckily, I’m slim.
He slowed down and stopped the car at what seemed like a park.
“Can you really drive?” He asked gazing at me.
“You got to be kidding me, right? I’m the daughter of a politician. I should know how to drive!” I flaunted and stepped out of the car.
He got out too and we exchanged positions. Dad had hired someone to come to our house and give me a private driving classes.
It’s been six months since then but he has never allowed me to drive a car.
I’m pretty sure I can remember some basics.
I inserted the key into the ignition switch and it started. I carefully turned the steering wheel and let the car move.
I increased the speed expecting Mykel to react but he didn’t.
“Your hands are shaking, Rissa. Let me drive this thing” He said trying to take the wheel.
“I’m good. Just ignore the physical problems” I jibed speeding up.
I released my leg from the speed paddle and tried stopping the car.

*Bang!!!*
The car had crashed into a tree!! We rushed out of the car.
“Some driver you are” He sneered rolling his eyes.
The damages on the car wasn’t so bad.
Thank goodness!
“This is all your fault. You confused me” I bickered glaring at him.
He came over and attempted taking the car keys from me. I seized it and he sighed.
“There’s no pineapple here for you to throw the keys at” He snatched the keys and entered the car.
“I just want to revise it away from the tree” He said turning it on.
He drove backwards and turned completely like we were heading back to the house.
“Alright, you can come in now” He said and I raced for the door.
Immediately I touched it, the car moved forward and I flinched.
“Mykel!! Stop!!!” I screamed and ran after it.
He didn’t go a long way and he stopped.
I made another attempt to enter the car but he drove off again.
“Mykel!!!” I cried and ran towards the car.
“Stop this!! Please”.
He drove off again and I bursted into fresh tears. Why’s he doing this to me???
“Mykel!!!” I cried and he chuckled.
“I want to hear an ‘I love you'” He demanded with a wink.
“Mykel! I hate you so f***king much!!!” I screamed and he drove off.
Oh no…
I rushed after him and forcefully dragged the door knob but it seemed to be locked.
This place looks lonely.
I don’t like this one bit.
Soon enough, the door opened and I jumped in.
I tried to wipe off the tears but it was too late. He had seen me cry – which makes me hate him even more.
I attacked him, beating him up.
“How dare you?!!! With my own car! Who gave you the d***n guts!! I hate you so much!”.
“That’s what you get for taking the fortune cookie note from my bedroom” He said and started the car.
I glared at him as he drove off.
“Lord! You only ran a short distance. Why are you so pissed?” He muttered and I clicked my tongue.
“I’m not used to running stupid” I shot back filled with rage.
“Really? Then let’s try that again” He teased and I yanked his shirt.
I paused when I saw sign of an ink.
I raised his shirt quickly and my eyes widened.
Holy !!
Is that a tattoo??
Mom’s got to see this.
