CHAPTER THIRTY- SEVEN
“Lillian?” Stephanie called as she hugged Lillian.
“Im glad to see you” she said as she saw Leo.
“Leo” she called as she ran to him.
She touched his head and saw hee had a fever. She used her magic to calm the fever down.
“Stephanie? You gotta get out of here, you’re gonna get hurt” he said as he tried to get up.
“You know what? I’m very angry at you. You had to go through alot because of me and that isn’t right. You shouldn’t have hurt yourself just to prove your love for me, you could have done it the easier way” she said as she touched his hair.
“I shouldn’t have doubted you. I’m sorry for everything i caused you. I thought you wanted to play with my feelings, not knowing that all you felt for me was pure love
“I’m glad you love me. That was my greatest wish. And to think that it came true, I’m more than happy” she said as she hugged him.
“Ouch” Leo whimpered.
“I’m sorry, i forgot your body aches” she said.
“No worries dear, that’s ma healing tonic” he said as he hugged her tightly.
Meanwhile, Rexandro had his chance to blast Lillian. Lillian sensed it and dodged it.
“Come on guys, we gotta get out of here” she said as she broke the hug and tried to help the others.
“I’m not leaving here. Lillian needs me” Kelvin said as he tried to get up.
“No, we gotta go. Lillian won’t be happy if you get hurt so come along” Stephanie said as she helped them all out of the courtyard where the battle was held.
“I showed you mercy Rexandro but you didn’t seem worthy of it. Why are you even doing all these? You are my father’s brother, not an enemy. Why would you kill your own brother?” She asked.
“Your father was always better than me at everything. I was the only one in the family born without magic. Everyone loved your father, all except me.
“Our father knew that i was the eldest and also the heir to the throne, but he took my right away from me because he thought i was irresponsible.
“Your father took everything from me so i planned to take it back and i was successful. So step down or you will suffer the same fate as your father” he said as he tightened his grip on his sceptre.
“What you did was wrong. I know what my grandfather did was for your own good. You were jealous of my father just because he was loved than you?
“Jealousy doesn’t come because someone came and stole your glory, but it comes because you never found out what you were good at, you only envied the people that seemed better than you because you thought they had a better talent than yours” she said as she remembered Priya which caused her to shed a tear.
“I will forgive you for everything, please don’t let jealousy cause an enmity between you and i. We are a family, and i want us to remain that way” she said as she stepped closer.
“I will never surrender. This kingdom is mine and mine alone” he said as he blasted her with his sceptre.
“Then you leave me no choice” she said as she raised her sceptre up high and blasted King Rexandro who lay down dead, his sceptre destroyed. His body turned into dust and was blown away by the wind.
Lillian flew down and looked at the spot where the King had disappeared.
“I never meant this to happen Uncle, but i had to do the right thing. May your soul rest in peace” she said as she flew out of the courtyard, looking for her friends.
“Kelvin” Lillian called as she flew into his arms.
“Im proud of you dear, I knew you could do it” he said as he wrapped his hands around her.
“Does your body still hurts?” She asked
“Uh-hum” someone cleared his throat.
Everyone turned to see the second I’m command(the duke who sided with Rexandro in taking over the throne)
“My Queen, the subjects are longing to see their future ruler” he said.
“Please send for nurses and doctors too. My friends are in pain and they really need medical care” she said.
“Sure My Queen” he answered.
“Will you be able to come with me Kelvin?” She asked as she touched his sores.
“Why not? I won’t miss it for the world” he said as he smiled at Lillian who held his hand.
“I wanna come too….. Ouch! Please take me along….Ouch! I’m ok……Ouch!” Derrick said as he tried to get up.
“Awww do my body hurt” Tina said as she tried to get up.
“No, stay and rest” Lillian told them.
She smiled at Stephanie who seemed to be caressing Leo.
“And Stephanie, take care of Leo too” she said as she winked at her.
“Sure thing. Good luck” she said as she waved them.
They flew to the gate and was greeted by a large crowd of creatures both of the light and dark world who were trying to get in but couldn’t because of the soldier fairies.
Everywhere seemed noisy. Lillian, (or should i say Keira) flew higher and held out her sceptre.
Everywhere was quiet as the Queen spoke.
“Good day everyone. Respected supernaturals in chief, creatures of both the light and dark realm.
“It’s an honour serving all of you and restoring back peace and freedom in Zodar. I promise to walk in my late father’s footsteps and serve you well.
“May the Leadership of my father be my guide. I am quite honoured to be your Queen” she said as the crowd cheered.
“Long live Queen Keira, Long live our Queen” everyone chanted.

“Mother, you’re here” Priya said as she hugged her mother.
Her mother snitched as she touched her daughter’s cheek.
“Im so glad youre ok” she sqid as she patted her on the back.
“Mum, where is father?” She asked.
Her mother turned away.
“Mother, is father ok?” She asked again.
“Priya, your father had an accident. It was all my fault. I told him the truth about Lillian’s disappearance and that caused it. Im so unfortunate” she said as she wept.
“Father, dead? No, it cant be. Dad can’t be gone” she said as she cried.
Tony entered the room to meet mother and daughter crying.
“Her mother must have told her of her father’s death” he thought as he sat on the bed.
“Please don’t cry. All will be well soon” he said as he wiped Priya’s tears and held her mother’s hand.

“How are you doing guys?” Kelvin said as he walked into the room with Lillian.
“We’re getting better bro. All those whipping sure made me lose weight” Derrick said as he got up from the bed.
“I’m ok, at least better than before” Tina said as she smiled at Derrick.
“Leo?” Kelvin said as he walked closer to him.
“I’m fine bro” he said as Stephanie sat close to him.
“I’m glad you two are together. You sure acted manly Leo, taking strokes for Stephanie was a brave act and I’ll forever respect you for it” he said as he held Leo’s shoulder.
“Oh right, thanks bro. I’m finally glad to have her” he said as he held Stephanie’s hand.
“Im starving, i can eat a full banquet” Derrick said as he held his stomach.
“You can say that again” Leo added.
“Oh! That’s great because there’s a huge banquet for you waiting at the dining table. I hope you…….”
They didn’t let Lillian finish as they raced to the dining.
“I guess they were really hungry” Kelvin said as he laughed.
“Aren’t you hungry Tina?” Stephanie asked.
“Yeah. Lets go too” Tina said as they both left the room.
“You hungry too?” Lillian asked Kelvin as she smiled.
“Kinda. Let’s go” he said as they walked towards the dining.

“Lillian, i mean your highness, i think its time for us to go back home” Derrick said as he held Tina’s hand, standing in front of the throne in which Keira’s sat.
“Yeah, its been long since we left and our parents might be alot worried about us” Leo said.
“Oh yes! I’m coming with you guys. I have some important work to attend to” she said as she looked at Kelvin.
“Stephanie, you’re coming with me right? Leo asked as he held her hand.
“Why won’t i?” She said as she smiled at him.
“Wait, i need to carry those fairy cakes. Can’t forget them” he said as made his way towards the kitchen.
“What about the wings? Won’t they remove them from our bodies?” Leo asked.
Derrick came back.
“No, you can keep them. Take this” she said as she each gave them a locket.
“When you open it, it’ll lead here” she said as she smiled.
“Hello guard, please come here. Send message to the second in command and tell him I’d be gone for sometime but will come to check on Zodar anytime so he should handle the kingdom while I’m gone”
“Now hold hands, we’re going back to earth” she said as they held hands.
She held up her sceptre, and with that, they disappeared.
