CHAPTER 27

Midnight**
Raymond clicked the last button of his laptop before closing it. He raised a brow when he couldn’t hear Scarlett speaking. She’s been talking since he started working.
He turned back to see she has fallen asleep on his bed. He sighed and stood up from his chair then went in his bathroom to ease himself.
Once he was through, he came back and removed his shirt leaving him in his short. That’s how he sleeps.
He walked up to Scarlett and tapped her cheek.
“Wake up!”
“I want to sleep…”
Scarlett pouted and turned the other side, covering herself with the sheets very well. Raymond sighed and went to the other side of the bed. He laid down and covered himself, facing the other side.
He closed his eyes to sleep and was almost sleeping when he felt arms wrap round his waist. His eyes immediately flew open.
He looked down to see it was Scarlett.
“What the!”
He turned to her and tried removing her hands but she clamped them together more tightly, snuggling with his chest.
Scarlett pouted and smiled before continuing her beauty sleep.
Raymond just stared at her in bewilderment. Somehow, seeing her like this reminded him greatly of Aurora.
He quickly closed his eyes and tried to sleep so as not to get a change of mood.

MORNING?•?
The slightly audible sounds which were made outside made Scarlett to wake up. She slowly opened her eyes slightly and tried to move but something was blocking her waist.
She looked down and the sleep immediately cleared off her eyes. Her eyes almost popped out of its socket
She looked up and her eyes grew more wide when she saw Raymond sleeping.
“What the fk!” Her mind screamed.
She instantly froze when she felt him move, pulling her closer to him. She just stared at his face.
How his long lashes hugged each other, the mole beside his eye, how his hair fell on his forehead. Her eyes went further down to his pointed nose, his straight jawline and then his thin lips.
Her eyes went further down and she gasped when she saw he was shirtless, his broad shoulders, eight packs and muscular chest literally glared at her.
Scarlett quickly closed her eyes and shook her head. She began wiggling, trying to wiggle herself out of his grip.
“Sleep! You said you wanted to sleep right? You’ll sleep” Raymond said, opening his eyes.
“You were awake?” Scarlett muttered.
“I don’t sleep much. C’mon, sleep! It’s an order.”
Scarlett rolled her eyes and tried pushing him off but he didn’t even bulge. She began wiggling really hard trying to shake him off.
Raymond caught both of her wrists and pinned it down with him on top.
“Sleep!” Raymond said, staring at her.
Scarlett stared back at him too, her eyes went to his lips but she closed her eyes and continued struggling.
Raymond smirked when he caught her staring at his lips. His plan was slowly working.
“Let me go!!” Scarlett said in frustration, glaring at him
Raymond smiled slightly. He leaned to her ears.
“You look cute when you get angry in the morning” He whispered.
Scarlett was taken aback. She opened her mouth to speak but nothing came out.
Suddenly, a knock was heard on the door.
“Boss! I’m here to clean your room..” A maid said.
“Your savior” He smirked and released her.
The maid opened the door and walked in. She was kinda surprised seeing them on bed but she acted like its normal.

Howards University**
“Calm down Mel! Wait for me!!” Phoebe said, coming down the taxi.
“I can’t calm down Phoebe.. Like I completely forgot Angelo asked me to meet him at the park, I remembered it this morning. What is he gonna think? That I ditched him for Andrew?” Melody said.
“Well that’s what you did…” Phoebe shrugged.
Melody rolled eyes.
“Thanks for comforting me” Melody said and rushed off.
She went to the cafeteria but he wasn’t there. She went to the rooftop but still he wasn’t there. She began heading to the library and stopped when she sae him coming out with Ethan.
Angelo looked her way and quickly looked away. He began leaving with Ethan.
“Angelo! Angelo!” Melody ran to them and blocked their way.
“Ange.. We need to talk” Melody said.
Angelo looked elsewhere. He sighed and grabbed her arm then pulled her away. He released her when they got to an empty corridor.
“Angelo about yesterday-”
“I don’t really see what there is to talk about. You decided to hang out with Andrew. Each time you always ditch me for him.. I get the signs, you fell for him” Angelo said and looked away.
“Angelo see-”
“I don’t get it, what does he have that I don’t. Is he more handsome than me? Gosh…” Angelo looked away.
“I’m sorry” Melody muttered.
“It’s okay, I guess I’m just so unlucky. For the very first time that I decided to give love a chance it turns out like this” Angelo muttered.
He looked at Melody and smiled then held her chin.
“Melody, I love you but guess we aren’t meant to be. I’ll try as much as possible to suppress this feelings, we can still be friends” He said and brought out the bracelet from his pocket.
“I wanted to give you this yesterday, hope you like it” He took her wrist and wore the bracelet for her.
Angelo kssed her forehead and smiled before leaving. Melody looked at the bracelet and then at him.
She leaned on the lockers and looked at the two bracelets offered by Andrew and Angelo. Both were on the same wrists.
Melody closed her eyes and slide down to the floor. She hugged her knees as her thoughts drifted to her ex.
“Love is so complicated…”

Monica was busy jotting down points in her notebook when she felt someone staring at her. She sighed when she already knew who it was.
“Quit staring at me Jack” Monica said without looking at him.
Jackson chuckled.
“It’s been ages since you called me Jack. Each time we talk all I’ll be getting is ‘I hate you'” Jackson said.
Monica rolled eyes and looked away.
“Thanks for helping me during the show… But that doesn’t mean we’re good again.” Monica frowned
“You’re welcomed” Jackson said.
Not long after, the class ended. Monica began packing her things.
“I see you still kept our friendship bracelet” Jackson said looking at her hand.
“It’s because I couldn’t get it out of my hand, don’t get the wrong idea”
Jackson chuckled and shook his head.
“I see, well I still got mine” Jackson pulled up his sleeve.
Monica looked looked at his wrist and then at him before standing up. She began leaving the class.
“Wait for me..” Jackson followed behind.
“Stop following me! Its annoying!”
“Well I don’t know my place around. I’m still new remember?” Jackson said.
“Well go ask Ash or Tara, they’re your friends” Monica said.
“And so are you..”
Monica sighed.
“Still as stubborn as before”
Tara and Skye glared at them as they walked out of the classroom.

A man was busy doing some workout in a room when a lady walked in the room with a phone that was ringing.
“Boss, you got a call” She said.
The man stopped what he was doing and walked to her. He took the phone and picked the call.
“Yes?”
The lady watched as his face crumpled down to that of anger as the caller kept speaking.
“No!!!” He yelled.
“He got married three weeks ago?! No!!” He yelled and threw the phone away, making it to shatter on the wall.
“No! He can’t get married and worst of all he got married to my Scarlett! I can’t let it happen no!!!!”
