CHAPTER 18
Ricardo walked out of his office and was surprised to see his kids, especially Myles well behaved and calm.
“Dad!!” Myles rushed to Ricardo and pouted.
“Dad…the mean and ugly secretary yelled at me” Myles pouted pulling Ricardo’s suit.
“And I’ll not only yell at you but I’ll $pank you if you misbehave” Valentina said while typing.
“Dad, don’t fire her. Myles was the stubborn one here” Minnie said.
“What? Since when do you take her side” Myles frowned
“Alright you two, its alright. Myles, Minnie I’ll use this time to inform you that in the next two days we’ll be traveling to Paris.” Ricardo said.
“Yay!! We’ll see ladybug and cat noire!! Yay!!!” Minnie and Myles jumped happily…
“Lady what?” Valentina said inwardly.
“Also I hired a nanny for you. Myles, Minnie here’s your nanny Miss Williams” Ricardo gestured at Valentina.
“You can call me Valentina” She smiled.
“Her?! No way!!” Myles frowned.
“Your dad didn’t ask you a question, he informed you that I’m your nanny. Whether you like it or not, I’ll be your nanny. If you don’t want me to be you can stay back here in new York I don’t care” Valentina said and stood up.
“Woah!!” Minnie exclaimed.
Valentina printed out the documents and kept it in a file the handed it to Ricardo.
“Here’s the résumé your son deleted” Valentina said.
Ricardo took it and went through it. He signed it and gave it back to her.
“Minnie, come let’s go. I’m taking you two out for lunch” Ricardo smiled.
Minnie pouted. She really wanted to stay with Valentina.
“Dad, can nanny Tina come with us?” Minnie asked.
Ricardo looked at Valentina, waiting for her answer.
“Oh well…I’m not that hungry you know” Valentina scratched her head.
“Come on… Please??” Minnie clapped her two hands together and did cute faces to Valentina.
“Well,,, okay” Valentina sighed.
Minnie smiled, her cuteness never fails!
Valentina picked up her phone and made to put it in her purse when something caught her eyes on her phone.
She gasped and quickly clicked on it. Her mouth was now hanging open by what she saw.
Somehow someone took a picture of when she kssed Ricardo last night and now it’s trending on the news.
She stylishly looked at Ricardo and then at her phone..
“Oh, so it’s now that you see that news?” Ricardo said, judging from her look.
“He knows?” Valentina said inwardly…
She slowly nodded and looked down in guilt
“I’m sorry boss. I got you implicated in some stupid rumor” Valentina said.
“It will die down in few days, nothing to worry about.” Ricardo held the kid’s hands and went away.
Valentina looked at her phone and sighed. No wonder the people were all looking at her strangely.
She kept her phone and followed behind them.

TWILIGHT HIGH**
“So if I got it all, you live with your mom and your sister” Luca asked, helping iris to carry her books to her locker.
“Yeah, out family may not be the richest but I love it that way. I just hope Valentina makes it in life… Then me too!” Iris smiled.
“You will, I’m certain of that.” Luca reokid.
“Speaking of making it in life, do you know a bar or a restaurant were I can do some part time jobs there?” Iris asked.
“Well yeah! But I doubt you’ll want to go there… It’s owned by the president” Luca said.
“You mean Gavin’s dad? Yuck!!… Well guess I’ll have to persevere. I’m doing this for my family” Iris smiled.
“I don’t understand why you two hate each other. Gavin is a cool guy, he just love authority.” Luca said.
“Meaning he’s proud and arrogant and rude and I hate guys like them” Iris frowned, remembering Xander.
They got to her locket and Luca handed her her books..
“Thanks Luca, you’re an angel” Iris pecked his cheek and began packing her books in her locker.
Luca touched his cheek and blushed. He smiled and walked away.
The locker next to iris suddenly was slammed close, so loudly that it startled Iris.
Iris looked at the person to see it was no one but Gavin.
“Miss ugly face” Gavin smirked, looking down at her.
“Mr stupidson” Iris frowned
“Are you ready for your payback?” Gavin smirked and walked away.
“Now his locker is beside mine. Fk!!!” Iris h it his locker severally and hissed.

“Here, open up baby girl…”Valentina said and fed Minnie with the ice cream they were eating.
Minnie smiled happily, Myles was busy watching them with a frown on his face.
“I want her to feed me too.” Myles mumbled and frowned…
Valentina heard that and smirked, she scooped a spoonful of his ice cream and stretched it to him.
“Here, eat up!” Valentina said.
Myles looked at her and slowly opened his mouth then she fed her.
“I’m sweet and kind, so long as you don’t get on my bad book. So are we good now?” Valentina smiled.
Myles blobbed his head up and down. She also fed him some spoons before resuming in eating his…
Ricardo was busy eating his own ice cream, minding his business. The kids aren’t troubling him so he needs to enjoy abit.
“Uhm Sir…” Valentina called.
Ricardo looked up at her. She hesitated for a while before bringing a tissue to Ricardo’s face.
Before he knew it, she was already wiping off the ice cream that was at the corner of his lips.
Ricardo stared at her for a while and suddenly had a flashback. He once came to this restaurant with Evelyn and she also helped in wiping off the ice cream on his lips.
Ricardo frowned and stylishly pushed her hand away. He looked back down at his ice cream. Now he has lost the appetite…
“Thanks” He muttered.
Valentina nodded and continued her desert…
All through, Ricardo was all sad and grumpy…

TWILIGHT HIGH**
“And over…” Their sports teacher said.
They all stopped playing soccer and turned to their coach.
“So on Monday, we’ll be playing basketball and volleyball. Basketball for the boys and volleyball for the girls” Their coach said.
“Okay Sir” They chorused and began leaving.
Iris picked up her towel and began wiping off the sweat on her, heading to her closet.
She removed her dress and went to the lady’s bathroom to take a quick bath. Once she was done, she went to take her dress from the closet when…
“Where’s my uniform?” Iris wondered.
She turned and looked around but couldn’t see it. A note was stuck on her closet…
“Come to the basketball field if you want it” She read it and folded it with anger. No one needs to tell her that it’s…
“Gavin!” She snarled and marched to the door.
She peeked out of the closet to see if no one was passing by before rushing to the basketball room since she was only I her towel.
She reached there and saw Gavin sitting on the stairs there, smirking at her.
“I knew it, not only you’re ugly but you look like amoeba…shapeless” Gavin smirked and stood up.
“Where’s my uniform?” Iris frowned.
Gavin pointed behind her. She looked back to see her uniform hanging on the pole.
“Get it if you can” Gavin smirked and stood up then walked away.
“I’ll get back at you?! Gavin!!” Iris yelled and rushed after him but he already left.
She walked back and looked at the pole which was so high.
“How do they do to dunk this high?” Iris wondered…
She began jumping and jumping to get her uniforms but couldn’t reach it. She sat down and began calculating on how to get her uniform and also on which stick to use to finish Iris.

THORNTON INVESTMENT**
Ricardo and the other went back to the company. They all went in with Myles and Minnie discussing. Ricardo and Valentina were walking behind him with no one talking to each other.
“I’m in my office, inform me on any updates” Ricardo said and made to go in.
“Boss?” Valentina blurted out.
Ricardo paused without looking back.
“Anything wrong sir?” Valentina asked. She couldn’t help but notice he’s been so cold and distant.
“Nothing…” Ricardo went in with the kids.
Valentina shrugged and sat down then brought her phone. She began scrolling through her pictures, smiling at the different pictures she took with her family and friends.
Her face suddenly changed when she saw her photo with Ryan. The images of what she saw last night began resurfacing and that breaks her more.
Despite the smile she holds on her face, deep down she’s deeply hurt…
“Is Ricardo here?” A lady spoke.
Valentina rolled her eyes thinking that it was Fiona but was surprised when she looked up.
“Tina?!” They chorused…
