Romina opened her eyes slowly and her eyes caught the used syringe on the lamp table, there was a wet towel on her forehead too and a bowl beside the syringe.

She sat up and removed the wet towel, she stared around the strange room and tried to recall where she was and what happened before she lost consciousness.

She remembers having an argument with her mother and walking to Elias’s house like a maniac, she rubbed her forehead as a sharp pain hit her.

“You are awake,” Elias’s voice snapped her out of her thought and made her turn in his direction.

“How are you feeling?” He asked as he strolled towards the table with first aid on it.

“Headache,” she responded. “And?” He inquired.

“Hungry,” she replied. “Take this while I get you something to eat,” he said and gave her some pills.

“Thanks,” she appreciated and he presses his palm against her forehead. “Your fever is down,” he muttered as he took his hand back.

“You must have been scared, I’m sorry for being a bother,” she apologized after taking the pills.

“I’m glad you came here,” he replied and she raised her head to stare at his eyes, it was obvious he loved her. But it isn’t the right time to love either of them, they have lots of issues they have to deal with.

“I am hungry,” she said breaking the eye contact, he felt some kind of pain in his heart as she stared away.

“Yeah,” he got up and left the room. ‘How can you live me when I am such a mess?’ She asked in her head.

Her mother remembers nothing about her, she feels less loved and lonely. Elias’s love for her would have helped but it only reminds her of what she lost.

Elias walked in minutes later with a tray in his hand, he dropped it on the space beside her on the bed.

“Should I feed you?” He asked. “I can use my hand,” she smiled and he sat back, she finished the food and he smiled in satisfaction.

“You should go back to sleep,” he said. “I need to go back home, nanny Gloria must be worried,” she said.

“It’s 2 in the morning,” he said and she mouthed an oh.

“Go to sleep,” he ushered and she got back under the duvet, Elias took the tray back into the kitchen.

“Why is he still here?” Nora rolled her eyes angrily as she met Neil doing the dishes in the kitchen.

“Good morning, mom,” Neil greeted with a smile. “I told you countless times already, I am not your mother and I will never be,” she sneered and left the kitchen to the living room.

“You should stop trying to pick a fight with my mom,” Iris said as she picked something from the cabinet and walked back to what she was preparing.

“I don’t have a problem with her, but I can’t say the same for her,” Neil replied.

“When are you leaving?” Iris inquired and turn to face him. “Don’t you want me here? Do you hate me that much?” He asked, feeling hurtful.

He can’t deny his feelings for her, he never stopped loving her.

“Your presence is causing havoc Neil,” she replied. “I can ignore your mom all day,” he said.

“Your phone won’t stop ringing,” she gestured at the phone which rang again. He growled lowly as he walked towards the phone which was on the counter, it was a strange number.

He furrowed his brows and wiped his hand with a small towel, which he picked it up and placed on his ear without saying a word.

“Neil, is that you?” A panicked voice asked and he needed no soothsayer to tell him it was Mrs. Zaragoza.

“Excuse me,” he said to Iris and walked out of the kitchen and then out of the house, Nora rolled his eyes at him as she watched him leave.

“Neil, are you there?” Mrs. Zaragoza inquired nervously. Why was she nervous? Is she dying to have her son beside her?

“Mother,” he called with a cunning smile. “Son, where are you?” She questioned, the nervousness in her voice was obvious.

“At a friend’s place,” he replied and glanced at the house behind him. “What is wrong? Is Romina giving you a headache?” He asked, even when he knew Romina would not try to hurt or make her feel uncomfortable.

“No… no, she’s not here. I need you to come here,” she said. “I can’t come there,” Neil stated.

“Why? I just told you Romina isn’t here,” she almost cried, why was he being hard? Doesn’t he understand that she needs his presence?

“I need you, son, it is weird to stay…..ing here alone…..They all make me feel like…. .I have lost it,” she spoke in terror, her voice breaking with every word.

“Calm down mother, take a deep breath,” he ushered and she did.

He heard her inhale and exhale deeply and he smiled in pleasure, he has her wrapped around his finger.

“Good, now go to your room have a cold shower and wait for me, I’ll be there,” he assured.

“Promise?” Mrs. Zaragoza asked. “Whose word will you believe if not your son’s?” He inquired.

“I trust you, son,” she replied and he smirked.

“Good,” with that being said he hung up and dipped the phone into his pocket.

“Let’s see how sane you will be once I’m done with you,” he uttered with a sly smirk.

Elias was setting the table when the twins ran downstairs happily.

“Where is aunt Romina?” Draco’s voice came first, Elias raised a brow at him and Diana pouted sadly.

“Don’t tell me she left yesterday?” Her voice was sad. “Where are your manners?” Elias asked.

“Good morning, Elias,” they greeted in unison.

“Morning, how was your night?” He asked an obvious question.

“If not the best in the century what can it be illustrated as?” Draco asked and Elias chuckled.

“You have not lived a century, be rational, big head!” Diana snapped. “Don’t call me big head,” Draco warned.

“You have a big head,” she replied rudely. “That ain’t my name wide eyes,” he retorted.

“Don’t call me names!” She sneered. “You started it,” he replied.

“Draco Del Vera!” She screamed angrily. “Diana Del Vera!” He snapped.

“You guys can go ahead and fight while I enjoy this amazing breakfast and make sure you don’t see Romina AGAIN,” he emphasized on Again.

“What?” Diana screamed in horror.

“You can not do that,” Draco protested.

“It’s illegal,” Diana added.

“Weren’t you guys arguing?” Elias asked picking the cutleries up.

“Argue?” Draco repeated as if the word was strange to his ears. “What are you talking about?” Diana asked.

They stared at each other and smiled. “We don’t fight,” Draco said.

“We bound,” Diana added and they hugged.

“Since you guys are okay you can have breakfast,” he said and they rushed to the table. They were curious and wanted to ask about Romina but the last thing they needed was to get Elias angry.

They took the dirty plates to the kitchen and were on their way back when Nicole walked in

“Hi guys,” Nicole said excitedly expecting the same reaction but to her awe, they replied dryly.

“Hi,”

“Are you guys sick?” Nicole inquired worriedly, they walked past her and went to sit on the couch staring into oblivion.

“They miss someone,” Elias replied coming from the kitchen. “Good morning, sir,” Nicole greeted.

“Morning,” Elias replied with a smile. “Who do they miss, if I may ask?” Nicole inquired, he lived teaching the twins because they were cheerful.

They help her forget most of her problems and give her reasons to smile, their gloomy face was definitely not doing her any good.

“She’s in my room,” Elias gave the twins an answer they have been yearning for and the sad-looking kids suddenly ran past Nicole towards the stairs.

Diana stopped abruptly. “Did you say your room?” She questioned

“Yeah, why is she in your room and not the guest room?” Draco queried.

“She was sick over the night and I had to take care of her, so you two are not allowed to disturb her,” he warned strictly.

“I’m worried about her,” Diana uttered and they were off the stairs in seconds.

“Sorry about that, I will get you something to drink,” Elias said and went back to the kitchen.

“I wonder who SHE is,” Nicole mumbled as she sat on the couch.

While in the room the twins stood by the bed watching Romina sleep peacefully, however they could not watch long since she sensed their presence.

“Did we wake you?” Draco asked softly and she chuckled, she sat up and rested her back on the bedboard.

“Good morning,” she greeted and Draco responded while Diana narrowed her gaze at her

“Aunt Romina, do you love our brother?” Diana asked an unexpected question.
