CHAPTER 48

“What’s your name?” Layla asked

“My name is Sofia Frenchie Montero and I’m Mr Gary’s secretary” Frenchie introduced

Both Layla and Annalise smiled again

“It’s really nice to meet you Frenchie, be nice to Gary for us” Annalise said and Frenchie nodded smiling

Frenchie stared at Annalise and Layla who continued picking on each other like kids, she chips in when necessary and oddly those two were actually fun

They made her smile, something she hasn’t done in years.

“Heard Annalise came” Gary said when he came into Zane’s office

“Yes and I have to be quick before she comes back in” Zane said still staring at the computer

“She’s gonna distract you?”

“Obviously” Kai answered for Zane, he just came in

“She also came with Layla” Zane said, both Gary and Kai’s ears perked up at this

“Where are they?” Gary asked

“In the cafeteria, they joined Cindy” Zane replied

“Why the cafeteria, they could’ve just eaten here” Gary asked again

“That was what I told her but she wanted the cafeteria and I’m happy she went there now I’m done with my work” Zane groaned leaning back on his chair

Immediately the door opened and Annalise came in again

“See it was a good idea” Zane said to Gary and Kai

“Hey, I met Frenchie Gary’s secretary” Annalise said going over to Zane

“Where’s Layla?” Gary asked when he noticed Annalise didn’t come in with Layla

“She went to work” Annalise replied

“Right now?” Gary asked and Annalise nodded

Gary immediately went out

“Where’s he going?” Annalise asked Zane

“Where else? To meet Layla” Zane replied

Kai also went out

“Is he going to meet her too?” Annalise asked and Zane shrugged

“I smell something fishy” Annalise said rubbing her chin “Kai likes Layla doesn’t he?”

“I doubt” Zane scoffed and held Annalise waist as she came closer

“It’s just weird at how he’s everywhere around her” she said again “do you know Kai owns the cafe she’s working at?”

“Óúi Coffee?” He asked and she nodded

“You know that place too?” Annalise asked

“Yea, he bought it about three weeks ago” he said

“Tell him to not be rude to her, she’s really going through a lot” she pouted and he nodded touching the tip of her nose

“For you yes” he said and she smiled blushing

“Aww Zaniee” she whined

Okay Zaniee?, But Zane didn’t think much about it cos he drew her closer and kssed her

He’s been wanting to do this after the office incident, her lips just seems addicting

She moaned cutely when he bit her lower lips, she dug her hands into his dark silky hair

“Hmmmmm” she moaned sitting comfortably on his thighs
