CHAPTER 45

“Let her start officially tomorrow” Kai said to Gina who nodded, he then glanced down at Layla whose head was down

“You, follow me out” he said and strode outside with his hands in his pockets, Layla trailed behind him

Kai stopped outside in the parking lot, Layla stood a bit far from him, she was still shocked that he owned the cafe

“You own that cafe” she looked at him

“You ruined my shirt again” he said calmly

“Maybe you should stop showing up when I’m in the middle of something important”

“What exactly made you fall?” He asked

“I don’t know, maybe because I had the hunch immediately I saw you that you were bad news

And yup you showed up during my first days in the two places I wanted to work and get me fired without even trying” she yelled

“Do you still want to work since you fired yourself?”

“What stupid choice does a broke person have?, Maybe if you hadn’t showed up maybe I would be counting today as my day one”

“Are you coming tomorrow or not?” He asked again

“I will, for sure”

“Then try to be careful next time, I wonder what makes you trip whenever you see me, do you like me or something?” He teased with a straight face

“Shut it, your cold eyes is a huge turn off, marrying a rich man is a better option”

“I’m your boss, note that”

“Not until tomorrow Mr Brian” she said and walked out but stopped Midway turning back to him

“And BTW Gary’s way more nicer” she said giving him the middle finger

Kai kept staring at her back until she couldn’t be seen again, the five words she had said

“Gary is way more nicer”

Seriously, why Gary of all people!.

“That guy needs some serious sp..anking”

“I’m so gonna crush his balls, squeeze the living sperm out of them and give it to my cat as a milk”

“You don’t have a cat Layla, you don’t even like them” Annalise said

“That guy can make someone do crazy things, trust me I’ll buy a cat because of that son of a biscuit”

“I thought you liked him”

“Not until his annoying and cold personality strolls in” Layla clicked her tongue

“That guy is real bad news Anna like, how the h’ll will I be fired in two jobs whenever he shows up”

“Well he’s gonna be your boss”

“Wish he wasn’t” Layla said

“You’ll have to choose, it’s either you marry your rich betrothed or you work for hot handsome Kai”

“Who you calling hot?” Zane came in, he holding a glass of wine

“Kai” Annalise replied “someone need to reset this lady’s brain” she pointed at Layla

“Is there a problem?” He asked, Annalise tried to take the wine from Zane’s hands but he raised it up away from her reach

“It’s alright,it’s almost settled” Layla said

“Kai’s gonna be your boss?”Annalise asked with wide eyes and Layla nodded

“Nice, now you’re thinking” Annalise said and Layla smiled
