Claire’s POV
?I warned myself that I shouldn’t play with fire but now I can tell that I’d do it one more time…
?Don’t trust in myself..
No good for my health..
You messed with my heart now you’re the reason why…
‘Everything is set Madam’..The maid said and I nodded..
‘Please just call me Claire’..I said..
‘Ohhh no I can’t ma’am’..She replied and walked away..
I walked inside the new room prepared for me and yawned loudly as I plunked down safely on the bed….
Tears poured out of my eyes later and I wiped it off as quick as i could…
What am I even doing??..
I brought this upon myself didn’t i cause if only i didn’t like him I wouldn’t be married to him even though the company was falling or not…
‘Claire?? Can I come in??’..Grandma Suzanne said and I sniffed lightly…
‘Yes please’..i murmured and she came it with two cups of coffee…
‘Coffee??’..
‘Yes please’..I replied and she handed the cup over to me…
‘Look I…I don’t know what to say but I’m very sorry for Gray’s undeniably harsh treatment towards you’..She said..
‘Ohhh there’s no need to apologize’…i replied and she shook her head..
‘There’s no defending what my grandson said about you Claire,I made a promise to your mother to keep you safe and happy and it’s only been a few days and he’s tarnishing your reputation’..
‘Grandma I…It’s okay I can live with his harsh treatment for a while i mean after all it’s just an arranged marriage isn’t it?? I’m okay I promise’..I lied…
Okay??..
Of course I am not okay I feel like I’m dying inside of me!!…
‘Thank you Claire,i hope Grayson sees what I see in you’..She muttered and walked away and as soon as the door was shut I bursted into tears again..
I just want to go home..
Gray’s POV
?:I’m glad you understand me Clarice!! I mean I didn’t mean what i said?!’…I exclaimed as I walked into the bathroom…
?:Yeah I know you didn’t mean it!! I used to like that Claire girl but now I just feel like she’s pretending to be goody goody’..Clarice replied…
?:Thank you!! At least you’re the only person that understands me!! I mean just because of that small incident she took her things out of the room claiming that I can’t sleep with a pig!!! Yeah she’s a pig!!’..I yelled out aloud as I spat into the toilet basin…
?:She did that?? why don’t you force her into signing divorce papers?? I mean since the company merger papers have already been signed you can coax her into signing divorce papers??’…She suggested…
?:Yeah you’re right….I’ll force her to sign divorce papers without her knowing and then boom I’m back to being Mr popular again!! What would I have done without you Clarice??!’..
