ALLISON’S?
DIARY??
(Secrets ??)
CHAPTER 5
BY BLESSING SILVER
?Allison’s POV?
“Papa!” My voice came out in a whisper and terrible shaking. I turned towards the direction of my house, the gunshot echoing all over again in my head..
Tears slipped from my eyes unconsciously and I didn’t bother to wipe them, my lips quivered and my insides suddenly felt hot and crumpled.
“Run Alli!”
Dad’s words rang in my head and as if wanting to obey it at any cause; my feet began moving fastidiously.
I let my feeling reflect in the swiftness of my steps; each moment I thought about it, my steps only quickened. I couldn’t feel my legs, it was more like I was floating in the sky. The fear that those murderers were behind me was enough to fasten me. It was more like my body was doing its work even without my contrition.
I felt the ache, all over me it stabbed and pinched but it was the least of my worries, I bothered less about it and focused my mind on the race.
I shut my eyes as the race lengthened, making the tears drop and wiping them off quickly to clear my vision.
I didn’t know where I was going and yet, I didn’t care, I was fine with wherever as long as it is away from them.. those monsters!
I was drawing close to a sloppy lane and my steps were doddering, weakness had overtaken my system but I couldn’t stop running, my feet hurt badly, I’m sure they must be bruised badly. I knew they needed rest but I just couldn’t risk it and I pushed them down the lane, I was going on when I sight a figure coming towards me.
Alarmed, I stopped. I couldn’t see the face of the person but it was walking towards me, without needing a signal; I turned and began moving backward but in the next five seconds, a strong arm yanked me back and I felt myself succumbing fully to his hardness.
“P-please save me! Please” I did the only thing I could do at this point.
I was too weak, there’s no way I could fight this guy. It’s obviously impossible when I’m myself, talk more of now. My words broke but I’m pretty sure it was audible enough to his hearing.
He twirled me to face him and my guess was fully ascertained, my doubts cleared. His face came in full view and beneath his familiar spiky hair, I saw his face and it hit me with full recognition and unaware, I called his name with a lot of dexterity.
“J-Jonas?”
His body stiffened.
And as he stared at me with same familiarity, I heard a loud sound. It almost struck me deaf and I turned just in time to see a thick foggy smoke covering the sky after a huge fire erupted..
My house?! It was no doubt that it came from my house?
I couldn’t contend it any longer and I felt my body becoming totally weak and empty.
“”H…e..lp me.. p..lease!” I turned to him, a tear dropping from my eyes and reflecting in my scattered words. I gave a slow blink and went into unconsciousness.

??Jonas POV??
.
Sht!
I grunted messily in my mind at the whole fked up situation. I checked her pulse and felt relieved when I noticed she was breathing.
Without a thought, I carried her in my arms and took her to my car. I opened the backdoor and carefully laid her in. In the dark, I could see the dried whitish streaks of tears on her face. I shut the door and hopped to the drivers, I started the car and drove off.
I arrived at the hotel, parking at a very secured and less suspicious space. I walked into the hotel and head to my room. I quickly grabbed the small bag I had packed earlier for my journey, I signed out of the hotel room and head back to my room.
I would’ve left her in the room, at least for tonight but Zoe already knows I stay here, she might come in at anytime and it would definitely create suspicions.
I threw the bag to the passenger side of the car and went to the drivers. Holding the steering wheel, I glanced back at the girl and found her still fast asleep on my seat.
I faced ahead and started the car, heading out of town.
It was already past ten and here I am, going on an almost six hours journey. I just couldn’t take the risk.
My finger joints hurt as I kept driving in full speed, my glance occasionally slipping to look at her. The journey went on, I was three towns away from Lonatown and I had just one left to pass through before getting to my destination. The girl was still unconsciousness at the backseat and I had to stop and check her pulse again to be sure she wasn’t dead.
My phone continued ringing countlessly but I didn’t care to answer even though I was fully aware of the identity of the caller.
I continued the journey and in no time arrived at a silent area, it was too bare you’d think it’s a desert, at the peak of my destination. I sight the small lake just in time and parked in front of the portable bungalow. I climbed down and lifted the girl out, she was quietly asleep and her soft breath made tiny sounds. I took her to the house and inserted the key into the hole, the door opened and I took her in.
I passed the living room to the brief narrow hallway, I opened the first door and arrived at the bedroom, I laid her gently on it and lifted the duvet to her neck.
She must’ve had such a shock to still be asleep!
I stared at her for a moment and walked to the door, I opened it and walked out, getting to the living room; I began taking off my jacket when I heard my phone ringing. I took it out and swiped to the receiver at the first glance.
“Did you get the card?” Gavin’s impatient voice filled my ear.
“There was nothing of such on her. She doesn’t have the card reader, Gavin” I told him.
“What?” He said. “then did Lucas not give it to that family? Crazy old bastard! Marilyn couldn’t have lied to me, it must’ve been somewhere in that house. Well, I already ordered for it to be burnt down so I guess it shouldn’t be a problem anymore” he rabbled to himself.
“And the girl, I want you to kill her. She saw too much” Gavin said, making me glance towards to the door of the room I left her in.
“I already did and I disposed her body pretty well, which was why I couldn’t take your calls. No one would be able find it!” I said, trying to sound more assuring and I heard his hoarse and satisfied laughter from the phone..
“Good, very good!”
