Chapter 49

“Oh my.. Jessica!” Harold’s eyes widened in total shock as he beheld the displeasing scene

Jessica’s head landed hardly on the tarred road at the other side and a tear slipped from her eyes

“Mummy..” she muttered and almost immediately her vision slowly became blurry.. and she could only hear screams faintly before everything became totally blank

She slipped into unconsciousness..

“Emergency!!” A woman shouted and everyone began panicking

Someone immediately called the ambulance and few bike riders chased the bikeman

Harold ran to her, making his way through the large crowd

“Jessica!!” He screamed with glassy eyes as his hands stained her bI.ood flowing freely from her head and body

Memories with her came rushing in his head and he couldn’t imagine losing her.. noo!

“Jessieeeeeeeeeee!” His voice echoed loudly again and instantly the sirens of the cops and ambulance could be heard as the ambulance arrived

They made their way into the large crowd and managed to pull Harold away before rushing Jessica into their van

Harold entered stubbornly with her, letting out his tears freely like a newly-born

Next day…

Wilson’s mansion

“Children, I’m home!” A loud feminine voice could be heard from the sitting room and Brinkley eyes widened from the dining room, the family were actually having their breakfast

“No one talks that way except……” Brinkley gasped

“Cindy!!!!” Everyone screamed in surprise as they rushed to her with loud giggles

“My babies..” She screamed also in her French accent

Cindy Tara Wilson is the eldest daughter of the Wilsons, she’s the real definition of craziness, she’s sassy, crazy, intelligent and savage

She’s an intern who just completed her training in Paris and doesn’t give a damn on the word called ‘love’

“I missed you baby” she pecked Brinkley again on the cheeks and they chuckled

“Dad..” she hugged him tightly

“Thank goodness you haven’t gone on your endless journey yet” she rolled her eyes and everyone laughed

“Mi amor” she hugged Judith, her mother who only smiled broadly

“So I’m the only one invisible here” Mavis folded his arms jealously and everyone laughed again

“Kiddo.. you’ve grown more taller” Cindy grinned touching his head and he slapped her hand off, forcefully pulling her into a hug

“I miss you kid sis” he said and she smirked

“Kiddo, I’m older and you know it!” She snapped

“You look like a sixteen years old” he said knowingly and everyone bursted into laughter as they all returned to the dining table

“You ought to arrive a month ago” Judith suddenly said as they ate

“Yeah.. I announced my coming but my annoying boss, made me write a full novel of 500,000 words after my training” she said rolling her eyes again

Judith eyes widened

“You got a boyfriend!! Wow” she screamed excitingly, hearing her wrongly

Chief Wilson sighed

Cindy furrowed her brows in confusion

“Ahh..!”

“Don’t tell me you still have hearing issues mum, for Peter’s sake, it’s been 3years I traveled to Paris!!” She shouted

“Cindy.. ” Brinkley rubbed the back of her palm and she breathed heavily continuing her food with a silent grimace

“Speaking of boyfriend.. you have one already?” Chief Wilson scrunched up his eyes staring at her, anticipating for an answer

Cindy bit her lip with a sigh

“Dad.. you know the answer already, stop suffocating me with annoying questions” she replied and Mavis gasped

“Cindy!!!!” Brinkley and Mavis said at a time

“What?!”

“Geez.. you’re twenty eight years already” they yelled again in unison like it was planned

“So…?!” She shrugged

“Are you even human?” Her dad muttered unbelievably

“Of course!!!” She glared

“Dad..!! I just came back okay.. save the questions for another day” she rolled her eyes for the third time
