DAVID
David slowly opened his eyes that morning as he felt a warm touch caressing his hair. It took few seconds for his retina to focus fully on the image before him.
“Good morning..” she greeted smiling weakly David jerked his eyes fully open.
He just can’t believe it. She’s awake! She’s…. OMGGGGGGGGGG!
“Ana..” he raised his head from the bed and caressed her hand tenderly.
“You’re awake I can’t believe my eyes. When did you wake?” He asked anxiously feeling happier than ever.
“Not too long. You were sleeping like a lad. That’s why I didn’t bother to wake you up.. ”
“Oh Go$h. I’ve missed you” he kssed her all over her hand. Feeling the warmth.
“I’ll go call the doctor” he got up from his seat, bent over and placed a kiss on her hand before walking out.
“So, Rosiana how are feeling, do you feel any pain… In ur head.. headaches? Dizziness? Or..
“No doctor I’m perfectly fine” Rosiana retorted with a calm smile.
David who sat close to her bed breathe a sigh of relief. It’s a good thing she’s awake.
“Can you remember any part of the incident?” The doctor asked.
“Well, I remember trying to swim in a pool….”
She paused, trying to find her words.
“Huh.. that’s all” she swallowed in.
‘ you sure?” The doctor asked again.
“Yes doctor” she nodded with an assuring smile.
“Alright” he jotted some wordings on a plain sheet.
“I’ll get back to you two hours later” with that, he left.
ROSIANA
I remember everything. O remember exactly how it happened but I decided on my own not to tell him.
I remember Alicia pushed me into the pool. I remember Calling out to her for help. That’s all. I blacked out from there.
Immediately the doctor left, I gripped tight David’s arm in attempt to sit upright.
” hey, relax Babe..” he motioned me back to my lying state on the bed.
“It’s Alicia David. She pushed me into the pool and watched me drown.” I spoke out with heavy breathe.
“I know already. And you need to relax cause everything is taken care of already. No need for worries” he smiled instead.
“You know” I breathe out in relief.
“It’s a good thing you came back on time to save me. If not, something worse might have happened” I added.
“Well, actually I wasn’t the one who brought you to the hospital. It was Alicia”
I cocked my head in disbelief.
What the he¢k??
“What do you mean she saved me? She tried to drown me… And then save me? But why???”
DAVID
It sounds very much confusing to me too. So I didn’t know how to answer Ana.
I told her what really happened with Janietta and how she tried to save her but ended up in same situation as hers.
Janietta is equally fine. Maybe before the end of today, she might come over to Ana’s ward to see her.
“I wouldn’t have thought Janietta would sacrifice so much for me” … She paled at an instant.
” I myself wouldn’t have imagined such too”
“Alicia’s still behind bars I guess”
” yes. ” I replied.
It feels like arresting her isn’t just enough for what she did and the lives she almost took.
Since we’re done with the project, I’ll drive over to the house first to check on my kids before going over to Duvel.
The project needs to be submitted.
“So Babe, what would you like for breakfast?” I asked.
Her face lit up in excitement as she gave me an answer
” I want everything for breakfast. Any cookies, baking, fried.. all of it. I’ve so missed it???”
I laughed out hysterically to her answer.
“All for you Babe”
I kssed her on her hair before walking out.
