CHAPTER 123
SLOANE’S PLACE**
“Mummy!” Miguel stood from the couch when Sloane came in, but he blinked when Warren came in with him.
“Warren?… You appeared on Mell’s Livestream… His friend” he said, and Warren smiled lightly.
“You can rest here for a while before going back home, just blank your head ok?” Sloane told him, and he nodded.
“Thanks, Miss Sloane”
“Just call me Sloane, I hate the sound of that honorific” she replied and went upstairs.
Warren sat on the couch immediately, and Miguel stood in front of him.
“How did you meet my mum?” He asked.
“Beside a river” he replied.
“Wait…who was trying to commit svicide between the two of you? Not her, right?” Miguel said.
“It was me” Warren talked.
“What! Why would you try to commit suicide when you have a rich popular friend like Mell?” Miguel blinked, and Warren smiled.
“Life is not always the way we picture it to be” he said, and Miguel hugged him.
“Whatever it is, please don’t try it again, svicide is scary” he said.
Warren hugged him back slowly.
“Thanks, cute boy”

NEXT MORNING, CAFE**
“Breakfast is done!” Maxwell said as he came out of the kitchen with the last dish which he placed in front of Jemima who was already sitting.
They’re using the center table this time, not the dinning.
“Hmmn! Smells nice already!” She inhaled the aroma, and he smiled as he sat beside her.
“You must be super happy” he said.
“Why?” She faced him.
“You have a boyfriend who knows how to cook” he said.
“Get over yourself” she replied, and they laughed before picking their cutleries.
They began eating, and her eyes widened when she had the first taste.
“Tasty! You get better everyday” she gave him thumbs up, and he kssed her
“What was that for?” She chuckled.
“Thanks for giving good review on my cooking” he replied, and she smiled.
He stroked her hair, and they resumed eating.
It’s a cold morning cos of the rain last night, so they cuddled on the couch when they finished eating.
Maxwell covered them with the thick duvet, and they shared body heat underneath, her head on his chest.
“I love the smell of your shampoo” he said, stroking her hair.
“Was planning to change it” she replied.
“Don’t” he replied, and she sighed.
“So… when did your arachnophobia start?” He asked.
“I grew up with it, I don’t know the actual cause till now” she replied.
“That’s… strange” he said.
“You don’t have any fears?” She asked,.
I do, the fact that you might decide to leave me someday” he replied, and she looked at him
“Who told you that day is gonna come?”
