AN HOUR LATER, SKYLINE MEDICAL CENTER**
Jemima is currently lying unconscious in bed, head bandaged.
Granny Suzy and Warren are beside her, heaving everytime till chairman rushed in.
He was looking so breathless as he walked fast to jemima’s bed and bent over her to stroke her hair a bit.
“How did this happen?” He muttered slowly.
“She hurt herself when Mell got mad at her” Warren replied.
“Where’s Maxwell himself?” Chairman asked, and Maxwell came in immediately, making him stand straight.
“Maxwell” chairman walked to him and grabbed his arm to hold firmly.
“She’s not the one in that video, she’s not that kind of person and I can attest for Sloane too, they’re not slvts” he said gently.
“I know, I was just mad at her for keeping the secret for so long, even when I asked her, she lied” Maxwell replied, and chairman made to kneel, but Maxwell quickly held him.
“What are you doing? Sir!”
“If I have to beg you all-over again, then I’d do it, please don’t leave her” chairman said tearfully, and Maxwell sniffed, fighting his tears too.
“I have no plans to leave her, Break up? Not in this lifetime” he said, and chairman hugged him tightly.
“Thanks so much Maxwell, thanks”
Maxwell smiled sadly as he hugged him back, and immediately they broke the hug, he went to jemima’s bedside while chairman went to granny and bowed in greetings.
“I’m sorry I didn’t greet earlier” he said.
“It’s ok, I understand you” she smiled.
“It’s sad that we’re meeting like this for the first time as in-laws” chairman smiled.
“We can always meet again” granny replied, and he smiled.
“I’ll pull all the strings I can, to make sure the issue dies down before tommorow. I ordered Darrel’s arrest already” he said.
“How do we prove that the video is fake?” Granny replied.
“We only have to trace the original video by meeting a pornstar, and then we trace the source of edition, the person is a genius and I’m sure it won’t be easy, the person behind this will come out to the open afterwards” Warren said.
“She’s close to losing 15M followers already, is there a remedy to fix that? And our stock prices are plummeting already… seriously” chairman muttered sadly.
“We should start straight away, let’s fix this before it gets crazier” Warren said, and he left the ward with chairman immediately.
Granny turned to Maxwell who’s still sitting beside Jemima…
“She’s obsessed with you, don’t try ignoring her for even a minute again, it’s dangerous” she said.
“I know, if she hurt herself like this cos I was mad for some minutes, then…I don’t wanna imagine” he replied, finally letting out his tear.
Her right hand is trapped in the middle of his palms, placed in front of his lips.
“You’re crying?” Granny asked surprisingly.
“Just that…if I didn’t get mad like that, she wouldn’t have been hurt” he replied guiltily.
